This is not Greenmount Beach. Greenmount Beach is west (to the left) of Greenmount Headland (aka Pat Fagan Park). You can see Greenmount Beach Surf Club is marked correctly on the map looking over Greenmount Beach. This is the famous Rainbow Bay Beach. There is another marker that names it correctly. Incorrect placement of location names can be confusing for people who rely on Google Maps . Looks like the info has been updated and is now correct. The marker for Greenmount Beach was originally on Rainbow Beach.

One of my favourite holiday beaches. I love the walkway that goes all the way around to Rainbow Bay. Nice Merlo coffee nearby. Just bear in mind that it's a big stretch of sand to the water so quite a walk from the parking lot with little ones.

I love this beach. It’s in my favourite spots in Qld. Not overflowing with tourists or body beautiful beefcakes. When it’s high tide it’s perfect for swimming. Low tide you can get between large rocks to sunbake. Parking is competitive in the daytime. There’s a surf club and public bathroom/change room close by.

This was my favourite beach walk when I lived in Australia especially during the mornings on weekdays when it's quiet. Many lookout places along the walk to stop and breathe in the salty air, watch the waves crashing and the sparkles on the water.

Great place for a swim. Near Coolangatta and the NSW border. Also close enough to walk to Rainbow Beach as well.

The kids had the time of their lives at Greenmount Beach on Sunday. πŸ–οΈπŸ„β€β™€οΈ One of the great things about this beach is that you can start walking around the hill towards Rainbow Bay but then go down the stairs when you're closer to the water. That way you don't have to walk across the soft sand in the hot sun quite so far. You probably don't want to walk back up the stairs when you leave but once you get off the sand there are showers and a place to buy drinks and icecreams. Of course, if you want to walk a little further, there are plenty of ice-cream shops and restaurants. There is also the Greenmount Surfclub with its bar and restaurant right there and, of course, the Surf Lifeguards are right there on the beach watching over the kids. πŸ™ŒπŸ›Ÿ

πŸ‘ A lovely spot for a day at the beach. The water is calm, there's plenty of space to set up and parking is okay. My only wish is that the toilets were closer, rather than across the road in the park.
