This was a beautiful place to visit on a sunny winters weekend. The museum was amazing! Well worth the stroll around the collection. The restaurant was large but comfortable and warm. The food was very satisfying. The outdoor eating area was perfect as there was a large grass area for children to run around whilst still in view of their families. The pet friendly inclusion really gave a good family feel to the setting.

this museum was one of the worst museums I’ve been too. It was not the worth the high price. There was very little wax figures and on top of that the figures were behind glass case where we weren’t able to take proper pictures with them. The content of the horror tour was rubbish, it showed how the people back in the days struggled instead of how they succeeded. 100% would not recommend going to this museum, it was a complete rip off.

Day trip by car, to the Gold Coast Motor Museum, a Must Do. Very impressive set up, so many old, different classic cars in one place. The boys didn't know which way to look first, so many cars. Also fantastic food at The Stanley Barn Restaurant as well.

What a lucky find, my husband and I decided to get lost for a bit and couldn't believe what we found my hubby is a mad car guy and was in awe of the fantastic collection and condition for all the pieces. Even not being as keen on cars I found it a enjoyable experience.

Was quite expensive to get in, part of the price is a guided tour through the torture chamber etc area and the gentleman giving the tour (nice bloke) had a very strong English accent and half of the people with us could not clearly understand what he was saying, the wax figures were all quite old and tired with only a handful having a really good likeness, I think more effort could have been put in to make the "settings" the characters were displayed in more fitting. They could have potentially had more written information on display, points of interest / notable accomplishments etc, made it a more educational experience. The staff were nice and friendly, however I would advise against spending your money here unless there are some substantial improvements * Edited to remove my assumption he was Welsh and add some photos of our visit

Fantastic place. What a great recommendation from a friend. Great museum that is well kept and stocked with some fantastic cars. Stanley's Barn was a great spot for lunch. Food was great, the hand cut chips were a point of difference. Service efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back. Well done.

If you have any interest in cars, motorbikes, or even old radios and phones, this is a must-see! It is an excellent display in a beautiful setting. You can spend hours wondering around looking at the amazing displays and reading all the interesting information and facts. Everything is in pristine condition, and some are very rare. You will find yourself reminiscing and not realising how quickly time passes. When you are finished in the museum, you can wander next door to the "barn" for a delicious feed and quiet drink. That's if you don't have a bird phobia as there's huge chickens wandering around. I personally thought they were adorable! The only thing I would change is the entry fee. $25 per person is a lot, especially when there is a group of you. If it's less, you are more likely to buy merchandise and eat at the restaurant. I feel $15 would be better. But that's just my thought.

The Gold Coast Motor Museum is absolutely amazing! The cars, carriages and bikes were all so stunning and rich with history that was brought to life by the friendly and knowledgeable staff, to hear so much information about not just the stats of the cars, but the story behind them, where they came from, who owned them, and what made these cars stand out not just in their prime but even today was just incredible. The whole place has a warm personal feeling, this isn't just a museum to the staff and owners this is a passion and it shines through. we will definitelybe coming back many more times

What a great place! Lovely setting, rustic furniture, thousands of memorabilia which brought back happy memories, ESPECIALLY the DeLorean. No flux capacitor though. I've only taken a small piccie of the back of the car. Or you could say, no 'spoiler' alert! ;)

Interesting and varied array of interesting cars. Would love the opportunity to walk around the cars, or even down the sides of these classic cars, sadly front view is all that is available on quite a few of the beautiful old cars Hopefully if we all support them the museum will get bigger still

Although im not a huge fan of wax figures, i can appreciate the work that goes into each figure. Even if they arent the most accurate or charming depictions. The shining jewel of this muesum is the chamber of horrors. With such a charismatic tour guide you get 30 minutes of humor and history.

Went here a few months back it wasn't to bad. The wax sculptures are highly detailed, worth having a look at and the torture chambers down stairs are good to. Although once you have been here and seen it your not likely to go back again, just my opinion.

Very entertaining for a place where things don't move. First section is wax figures of famous people, with a bit of info on each. Second section is a guided tour of "wax horrors", showing torture techniques from the past and different cultures. Allow an hour for the two sections. The tour guide explained who some of the historical people were for kids, which was helpful. Something different you can see in any weather.

The wax museum seemed like a touristy place we needed to check out when in Surfers Paradise. Elizabeth from the front desk was absolutely amazing! She was helpful, friendly and was so sweet to help take photos my partner and i around the entrance. There was 2 parts to this place that approximately takes an hour-ish to go through. 1st part consisted of a small amount of celebrities, politicians/famous people and the 2nd part was demonstrations of historical torture chamber (which you can't take photo's due to copyright and is guided by a tour). 1st part was cool, although some of the celebrities did not look like their counter parts e.g. miley cyrus and whitney houston. But the rest were very close. The 2nd part was very interesting as it was guided by Alfred who was very knowledgable and entertaining. I would definitely recommend this! Perfect activity to fill up an hour of your day. Pro tips: - Keep in mind 90% of the wax figures were kept behind a glass wall so you can't actually touch them - RACQ members get a discounted entry ticket

A great collection of the history of motoring from Model T to now. A new place, recently advertised and when we visited they were very busy yet we moved around easily. A cafe/ bar and toilets( very clean ) are onsite and if you need to leave the museum for a snack etc, your ticket allows re-entry to museum while you're there. Car park is large enough to handle a holiday crowd.

What a wonderful find this place is! We started with breakfast in the cafe looking over the bushland which was excellent and then spent a good hour or so wandering around the museum admiring their fantastic range of vintage cars, motorbikes and memorabilia. The staff were also friendly and warm. Would highly recommend if you have an interest in automotive history. We even got to pat the goats!

Display of cars & bikes was quite varied but mostly American brands. We got there at 3.30 & it closed at 5pm so 1.5 hours was not really enough time, so we will need to return again. We all bought merchandise as well as there was a good selection of product. Highly recommend if you are a car enthusiast, but not many bikes on display.

Great car museum with a good variety of vehicles as well as memorabilia, models, and other interesting display items, with many having interesting back-stories. Spent a few hours looking at the museum with a stop in the middle to have lunch in the Cafe. Entry price was fair as this is an amazing collection

Best place for motor enthusiasts. Best public collection of cars and motorcycles in Australia which are maintained in good condition.

A good friend in Melbourne (VIC Buick Club President) highly recommended that I visit this museum, so a recent trip to Brisbane gave me the opportunity. First, I had breakfast at the restaurant ‘Stanley’s Barn’ which was superb. The menu is extensive and the staff friendly & attentive. Upon entering the museum building, owner Carl Amor kindly gave me personal tour before allowing me to go at a slower pace alone. This museum has a large & diverse range of classic & vintage cars plus a large assortment of fabulous memorabilia. Being a Buick owner, I particularly enjoyed the extremely rare Buicks. Gold Coast Motor Museum is world-class and the beautiful country setting creates a great atmosphere. I’d recommend this place to anybody.

👍 It was pretty interesting. They've put a great deal of effort into the smallest details in each display. We really enjoyed the diorama models, found the tiny ginger cat 🐱❤️. I don't think little kids would get to much out of the show case's. But it's a nice interesting walk through for a more olde...
