👍 Nice and easy trail walk with the fun challenge of spotting koalas - we found three! There were plenty of kangaroos to see and we also saw a snake! The trail is nice and wide and would make for a good bike ride too. People often mention kangaroos, walk, koalas, Kangaroos,

Beautiful area to walk through after rain. There are kangaroos and Wallabies all around, as well as flooded malaleuca forests.

I have never seen more koalas or kangaroos in the same place! It's a fun, short walk that is flat and accessible. Do bring mozzie spray though because I got 17 bites in the span of 30 minutes.

Took our bikes for a ride here, great place to relax and look at the wildlife. Lucky enough to come across mummy and daddy Swan and 5 signets on the path, we walked slowly past with only minor hissing lol Great experience, and last time here there was a koala walking around on the ground, very special.

Kangaroos? YES! Koalas? Yes, but... This is a nice short walk through some varried vegetation. There is open grassland, some wetlands and common bush. I've come here twice and on the first occasion I found quite a few koalas. They were easy to spot because they were in the limited trees that grew in the grassland. However, the second time I came here I only found one koala and it was hidden in the bush. As for the kangaroos... they're almost everywhere! So many of them and also seemingly accustomed to human presence because they weren't frightened of me. (Don't touch them though!) On one final note. Getting here can be a little confusing. Shelter Road is cut near the Coombabah wastewater treatment plant. So you can only access this trail by getting on Shelter Road off Pine Ridge Road (accessing Shelter Road from the east).

A great place to go for a walk if you want to see dozens of kangaroos/ wallaby’s up close. Abundant birdlife and the chance of seeing koalas as well. Suitable tracks for walking or biking. Take nozzle spray, water and a hat.

Nice place for a walk… even my 2.5 yr old can handle the whole trail… and lots of kangaroos… Although we didn't need to, a toilet would be handy. A side note: you might be lucky enough to catch a private jet left/land at the airplane club next to the trail…

Very nice national park with wild nature. It's a good idea do not forget to have anti-mozzy repellent.

👍👍 On the beautiful goldcoast spit. Crystal clear waters and the best sand in the world, this place is better than waikiki any day!!. Lovely place to take the kids for a swim and lunch at a sheltered beach. The wildlife is amazing, and so is the sea life. Keep an eye out for dolphins, too. B...
