Staff seem to always be rude. Older ladies. Not always but most times when I go in there I feel like I’m spoken down to. I just called up to say I’ll be in Melbourne for a little while as it’s Christmas and I want to see my family and a package arrived but I was too late to pick it up so I asked for it to be held till I’m back. I was trying to explain I was going and when I was coming back and was just cut off several times trying to answer the question I was cut off with -.-“ was quite frustrating. Person was very rude. I don’t usually leave reviews but this made me quite annoyed. I get people are stressed but kindness goes a long way and please don’t work in customer service if you can’t be welcoming and polite. I know customers are shocking too but I genuinely was polite and I didn’t receive the same attitude back.

This post office is soooo slow. There are always huge crowds lined up out the door. I sigh every time a package gets dropped there and would love to request it goes to the Town Centre.

Used to love coming to this LPO, but new owners are not as good.They are usually out the back or chatting to the postie outside instead of serving the long lines of customers. Took 20min to get served the other day. Only 1 person serving, only 1 person in front of me. Not even a friendly hello or eye contact when I was finally served. I'll go elsewhere now.

Extremely unhelpful, I sent a further complaint to Australia Post The woman in this post office should maybe consider retiring and have some new happier and customer focussed workers come in as we are so lucky to have a post office close by - they claimed to not be able to take a passport photo, after I asked if they could try they did give me some photos, their machine was obvioulsy faulty or they did not know how to operate as there were some flecks through half of the photos, but they did not discount the cost of the photos I purchased. I could see other customers waiting outside as the open sign was not turned around, when the lady asked the worker about if they were open the worker blamed me for closing the glass door, which I did as it was a little windy outside. I have been treated rudely in this post office several times now sadly.

Asked taking passport photographs but they couldn’t do it. The old ladies advised me if it is not Australian passport should go to the lodge, but I didn’t need such an advice cause I knew the photo size of our passport was totally same as Australian one. I made it before for my son’s passport. I cannot believe they never say sorry for that they couldn’t give the Australian post standard service. They are excusable and insincere.

I have to brace myself every time I go to Varsity Lakes Post Office. The women who work there are so incredibly rude and difficult to deal with, especially the elderly lady with the pinkish hair. I do understand how irritating it is dealing with customers all day as I have worked in customer service, but the attitudes of these ladies are beyond what is excusable. No one deserves to be treated with such hostility.

Out of necessity is the only reason I go to this post office. The older ladies behind the counter lack basic customer service skills and friendliness.

Untrained rude elderly woman unable to do simple passport photo for me and told me to go elsewhere as they don’t do it there. Do yourself a favour and retire.

Good service and friendly staff. I wish they had extended hours to cover Saturday morning because it's difficult to get there during the day on weekends days only. Parking can be problematic also.

Great little PO, park right out front. Usually quick to get in and out, unlike your big shopping centre POs. Staff are nice too!

Just went to this post office to pick up my passport as no one was home when they tried to deliver it, which I paid express and I turn up to be told “ohh all the parcels got wet today, here is Australia posts number if it’s damaged… opened it, whole thing is saturated. Wouldn’t trust this post office with valuable items, pretty pathetic really. Most of the pages stuck together and corners all bending up.

Great post office with ancillary services, however can be parking challenged, so best to avoid in peak times if you actually want to transact.

Could the (older) counter lady be anymore mean? 3 Things NOT to expect from this AUSPOST. 1, Customer service (unless you are also old, and of a certain colour) 2, Passport related things (photos, sending forms) 3, Open on Saturdays. This is a franchised (licensed) auspost so the owners can do what ever they want. Just prepare your mentality and don't say I did not warn you, you will cry otherwise.

Parking was easy, middle of Christmas rush to post parcels and ihad immediate customer service. Staff were helpful when I asked about other services in the area. Would definitely return.

Collection card says they open on Saturdays. But no, they don't. Google wins over their own piece of paper.

Friendly staff that'll help you out. Counter desk only serves a maximum of two at a time so the wait times can be especially long around busier periods of the day. Selection of postal boxes are available for purchase next to the counter, security drop-boxes are located on the outside.

Came here for visa photo but they crop the photo to fit the size, don't have any knowledge about it. Also photo stand doesn't stand itself I had to hold hit while she was taking photo.

Too small post office for the traffic that's there. should be at least two more people working there as the line always too long. Currently the staff does whatever they can to serve customers, and even though they are really overworked, they very nice.
