Stumbled upon this little cafe because a lot of places are closed in Coolangatta for lunch. Nice and friendly staff, relaxed vibe and good salad and pancakes here! 😚 Surprising that even QLD is suffering from Covid closures/ reduced hours and staff shortages, I can’t even imagine what Melbourne would be like. Please be kind and patient to staff members ❤️

Best iced mocha in town. Reminded me of Fiji. Long wait, for food but worth it💕

The staff said the chefs wouldn't cook poached eggs for my son's bacon and eggs, he had to have fried or scrambled. So needless to say he didn't like either- so only ate the bacon. The hollandaise sauce expires at 11:30am, and this you can't order it which is fine however not written on the menu that this is the case. The staff aren't very accommodating to be honest. I get it I've worked in hospitality however when a customer wants to order and your just saying no without offering a solution not great. Food was excellent however the kids menu was 3 items, non of which my son eats! Great view, great coffee, bit sad that they don't accommodate a simple swap to poached eggs for kids!

Never seen this slow service in my life. We were 4 people went there to eat and they served 3 meal and keep saying wait for the 4th meal for 45 minutes. After that we took refund for that meal and left. Do not recommend this place at all. Reply to Owner Comment: Thanks for your quick response. I understand the staffing situation at the moment but if you are telling me that all other meals in our table came along with other tables meals who ordered lot later then us, only my food was late because of staff shortage then I am going to say its just lame excuse to use for giving bad service. You could have replied more politely rather suggesting me to stay at home. Please stop making lame excuses to get by.

I had the best vegetarian breakfast here on the weekend. It was no drama to swap out the eggs for hash browns (I don't eat eggs) and everything was really well prepared. Great vegan protein banana and espresso smoothie too! Great views over the street onto Kirra beach.

I know this is a big call but I have to say BEST breakfast I’ve ever had. I’ve had a lot of breakfasts in my time. Service was great, friendly and accommodating staff. Really made our trip to Queensland. My only regret was that we found it on the day we’re leaving and we only came once. Will definitely come back! Thank you for looking after us.

This place rocks. Great food, position, staff and iced lattes. Can highly recommend. Lots of seating under cover too. Didn't take photos but had the Bacon & Egg Rolls but they have an extensive menu, acai bowls, fresh juices etc

Really awesome food, we had a big breakfast and veggi breakfast and portions were huge, everything was so delicious! Food was served really fast even though the place was packed with people + coffee is great. If we move to gold cost we will come back ❤️

Unbelievable place for breakfast. This chic cafe with friendly staff is a gem. With its rustic look and feel you’d be forgiven to expect Diver Dan to deliver your food. The toast was cooked to perfection and the coffee was heavenly. Do yourself a favour and drop in to meet the lovely staff.

The Huevos Rancheros is soooo good.. and the Chefs special hot sauce is not for the faint hearted... it hits the spot! So yum! What compelled us to review our experience is the amazing service we received today. The staff are so attentive and accommodating... 6 of us walked in without a reservation with 2 kids and they rearranged tables to fit us in. Genuinely wonderful people. Thank you for a wonderful morning!

Really great coffee and breakfast. Staff are lovely and friendly. When we were on an annual family beach holiday, this was our "go to" breakfast place of choice at Kirra.

Our ‘Home away from home’ on the Gold Coast. All of the staff feel like family 😊 Especially to our little boy Enzo 🫶🏼 “The Café Kirra Mascot”. The best service you’ll find on the Gold Coast with the best and incredible Byron Bay coffee. Breakfast on the beach front. Can’t beat it ❤️ Thank you so much to you all amazing humans at Cafe Kirra. We love & appreciate you all! Bryony, Kai & Enzo

A day of wedding dress shopping and what a beautiful start at Cafe Kirra. Lovely ladies, delicious food made with great produce and beautiful coffee! I love that they do a half serve eggs Benny so I could add the hash browns and baked beans. It was a joy to eat. The food was served warm and everything was perfect. The laid back vibe and the lovely staff were such a great start to my day, Thankyou

Hey look sorry guys but I payed $6.50 for a medium coffee and a mango is almost as big as the cup. Coffee was made far too strong and not much vanilla syrup used. Very disappointing for the price and it wasn’t a public holiday.

Pleasantly surprised… A random drop-in for a late lunch. Service at counter and seating for all types. Pretty laidback style with Staff giving off happy work conditions. Always a nice thing to see. Food was fairly quick and spot on with menu description. We were one of the last patrons there while staff was packing up but never felt hurried or uncomfortable. Another place on my list of drop-ins.

So nice sitting at the front bench, being able to see the beach and people watching. Good milkshake. The banana bacon toastie thing was weird and good but a bit small

Nice place for breaky. A bit windy and cool on the day we visited, but can't blame the Cafe for that. Wife had the mini eggs benny, which she is still raving about. My daughter had the French toast and for $18 I thought "It better be bloody good", and it was. 2 huge slices of French toast covered in banana, mixed berries, and maple syrup. I has the egg and bacon roll which was ok. 2 things that put me off - the roll was a brioche bun, which I'm not keen on, and the egg was hard cooked. Nothing better than a runny egg on a roll, especially if you've opted for no sauce. Not show stoppers. Still recommend coming here.

The food was absolutely divine. Such lovely presentation and the meals came out nice and speedy. The atmosphere was very pleasant, however, one staff member was being extremely rude to the others, demanding they clear tables and talking down to them. They all looked really embarrassed and I felt sorry for them as they were all so lovely. The girl had brown hair. I will be getting take away next time as that was a very awkward and uneasy thing to be sitting in the middle of. I hope she doesn’t talk to her mother with that mouth.

OMG - best coffee and breakfast we’ve had in ages! The service was quick and even when we forgot to order the bacon and ordered it after our food arrived they still got it to us really fast. Seriously well organised kitchen. The coffee was also totally on point and amazing. The staff were also helpful and friendly. Well done Cafe Kirra! Don’t change a thing.

Just had breakfast this morning here. Our pancakes was fabulous but our Big Breakfast was cold 😞 I asked the waitress if it was freshly made because it's not even warm, it's cold - the mushroom, toast, poached egg, everything in our plate. We were hungry so I told her we'll still eat it. Waitress says she will let the kitchen know but never heard from anyone or the waitress 😔 Disappointed no one came back to apologise at least therefore will not be coming back to this venue...

A beautiful spot but let down by the whole experience when the waitress spills a coffee on your while trousers ruining them forever ! So unless you want the coffee to fist you a pair of trousers avoid this place . The recompense was extra napkins Ana a damp blue chic rag to mop it up - no replacement coffee was offered as we were told the kitchen closes at 11 am to reopen again at 11:30 am to give them time to replenish ! Staff need to serve correctly not reaching over people ! Coffee was ordinary also

This place made a great beaky. Menu has a good range and service was fast and friendly. Range of options including for kids. We would definitely go again. Added bonus is the playground over the road for kids while you wait.

Awesome view! Coffee took ages, flat white wasn't traditional more Milky frothy latte, lacking decent punch. Bacon eggs were nice, smallest eggs I've seen in ages with smallest side salad. Service well below average, wasnt offered salt pepper, nor sugar with coffee. Sometimes the little things.

👍👍 Yatala pies are just amazing. I often find myself coming up with a reason to drive down the coast just to get one with their chips and gravy. If you haven't gone before and you live around the area, what on earth are you doing with your life? Go get some! The staff are always super friendly and the...
