Long wait, rude owner! Waited over 1hr for breakfast along with many others. No communication on wait time when ordering. Followed up on food as friends were going to miss a flight and the waitress was nice about it. Then followed up again to ask for a refund and the owner grilled us. ‘This is the busiest cafe on the Gold Coast, you shouldn’t have come here before a flight’. Got refunded for breakfast only, couldn’t even cover our coffees for the wait. We are locals and loved coming here and won’t be returning. Can recommend Refinery in Currumbin, amazing food, coffee and service.

Don’t be in a hurry if you wish to visit this establishment. While the food was fresh, it took forever to come out. The coffees came out fairly fast, but we had time to finish our beverages and move a vehicle from down the block before the food order even reached our table. Definitely an increase in pace and staff attention to patrons orders and needs would be beneficial.

A real pleasure to have breakfast here. The quality and variety of food available is very good, possibly the best in the area. Nice comfortable seating either inside or out. They are dog friendly so that is awesome. Loved their food, great coffee will be back!

Disappointing service was poor on arrival once I got to the counter the lady at the counter ignored me while speaking to another colleague for a good 5 mins. Onto the food no issues with flavour however when the food was made o happened to be sitting across from the kitchen which I saw our food was sitting there for once again over 5 mins while staff were chatting at the counter and the two staff waited for the poor waitress who was busy cleaning other tables to do it… and the icing on the cake the cup my latte was served in happened to be chipped and broken on the edge I cut my lip… All in all pretty disappointing and quite poor to be serving broken cups could be a more serious injury waiting to happen.

Great service with fantastic food and coffee. First time here, couldn't fault it. Great options, Turkish eggs and Boston beans were delicious. Would highly recommend. We'll be back. Thanks 😊

I have been going to Barefoot since I was a teenager! So over 10 years. It’s changed so much but what hasn’t is the kindness of those who work here. Thanks for great coffee and friendly smiles. Food is always great too. Also thank you for letting me bring my 8 week old puppy inside (while holding him in my arms) so I could order a takeaway coffee without having to leave him in the car. Really appreciate the accomodating gesture.

Thank you for the beautiful Carrot cake. The texture was perfect just like the cupcakes. The icing was just superb...worth every calorie. My family had nothing but praise for the cake. I will definitely be back for more. Thank you also for doing thia on such short notice.

I pinned this cafe on my google map long time ago to try out someday. Finally, I stopped by this cafe because I had a bit of free time in the morning. I took my mom who is a coffee addict and she said it’s niceee! Good coffee, nice atmosphere, great seats feeling the sun. I’ve got a great start of the day with this coffee!

A pleasant place for a drink and something to eat. Pretty decent menu with options for vegetarian, and gluten free. Nice strong iced latte and large latte, they know how to make coffee here. Plenty of seating indoors and out with loads of parking right outside. Great spot to get some winter sun too. It is not cheap, but with inflation is anything?

The café is just a street down from palm beach. The area is a lot more laid back than the main beach area from Burleigh northwards which tends to be more touristy.

When we’re on the Gold Coast, we often stay at Palm Beach. There’s great beaches, parks and coffee shops aplenty. We often frequent @barefoot_barista and find it’s a super chill space to have your coffee and brekkie/lunch and lots of people working too. We had a few coffees and their tasting plate of chia, yoghurt and avo toast

The food and coffee here is great and the portions are big. We had the acai bowl which was very refreshing and light, the chips and the full aussie brekky (camt remember what it was called). Came out pretty quick too.

Earlier this morning my friend and I came along to Barefoot for breakfast and unfortunately had quite an awful experience. The waitress was awfully rude from the get go, sucking on her drink bottle as she served us and spoke in quite a rude manner. This alone pretty much ruined our whole experience and made us pretty uncomfortable and then to top it off my food was brought out (eggs) as pictured below with a fly right in the middle of it, cooked to it. As I have serve anxiety and has already experienced her being quite rude I didn’t want to say anything to her and went to eat the toast under it and then couldn’t bare the thought and stopped. I’m extremely disappointed in this entire experience, both with the food and service and I believe the chef would’ve been able to see the fly prior handing me the dish because it was the first thing I saw.

Great spot for coffee and breakfast. We had the wrap and it was delicious, although we got extra mushrooms and I wouldn't recommend that. Juices were good and avo on toast was yum.

My partner and I, with our 12m/o old ate here for breakfast today, the customer service was great and the food was good too. I was just a little disappointed because I asked for my poached eggs to be cooked through (as I’m pregnant) and they were completely runny when receiving the meal, I politely sent them back and waited another 20-30mins while my family finished their food, the eggs came back runny again, so I went to the chef myself and explained I am pregnant and can’t eat runny eggs so I need them cooked through, boiled if they have to, I received my meal again, one egg was cooked through and the other completely runny. At this point I had been waiting for too long and just removed the runny egg and also as I didn’t want to be ‘that customer’ sending food back a 3rd time. I was offered a cake to make up for it which was lovely. I attend cafes often and have never had issues with getting my eggs cooked through so hopefully next time it should be an easy request here. 🤞🏽

Delicious meals, outstanding coffee and the muffins are divine. The açai bowl for me is the best on the coast! Great atmosphere. I have been having food coffee here since this cafe was open. I love it! It’s my every Sunday cafe.

Visited recently for a quick brekkie and enjoyed the industrial open interior! The woman that greeted us was super friendly and made us feel welcome when entering the cafe. We only had about 30 minutes to spare, so we’re so glad service was super quick! Ordered two coffees and the big breakfast plate to share (can’t remember or find exact name). We really enjoyed our meal, however we were a bit disappointed that for its price it was pretty small. Sadly the coffees were really bitter for us, and we didn’t enjoy them. We really liked the cafes vibe, so it was still a nice space to come early morning and energise for the day!

Staff were friendly and helpful Plenty of street parking available I got the avo toast ($13) and a vanilla oat milk latte ($6) Food was good, decently priced for the area Lovely outdoor seating, but plenty of indoor seating too ig: travel__eat__repeat_

This place is busy, high turnover of people waiting for takeaway coffee. We tried the potato hash with optional extra haloumi and it was delicious. Pricing was reasonable for the area. Highly recommended, would return.

We had $11.50 remaining on a gift voucher and decided to drop in and have coffee and something to eat. The coffee was nice, the almond croissant was OK, but the service was ... unusual. The total order was $16.00 and the lady serving needed to get her phone out and fire up the calculator app to work out how much I owed ($16.00-$11.50 = ?) OK, so not everyone is good at math. But then she had absolutely no idea how to charge me an additional $4.50 and so asked me to come back after our coffees and pay the remainder. The almond croissant was delivered to our table stone motherless cold, so we needed to take it back to get it warmed up. OK ... so none of that's ideal and all a bit inconvenient, but in the spirit of doing the right thing and paying what we owed after we had finished, my wife approached the counter to ask how we could settle our account because we were not planning to stand in line behind 8-10 other people. The girl behind the counter (same one as it happens) says "oh, you're the voucher people ... do you have cash?" You've got a great venue, nice coffee and great food (last time we were there I had the street wrap from memory, and it was fab), and you are clearly popular, but when your staff behave like that I just feel a little ... perplexed. OK, so if all of that was the very worst thing that happened to me today then it wasn't such a bad day ... but the service from your staff (well, one of your staff) doesn't make me feel like I would go out of my way to return to the BB for coffee again. I didn't feel particularly valued, and there are lots of other places that also sell great coffee and food, and the staff make you feel welcome and special. Other people probably would have just walked away and kept their $4.50. If it was such a problem sorting out our account then I'll bet others had the same problem too ... which means you are probably losing money. Sorry for the review, but I thought you'd like to know. :( All the best.

Lovely vibe for a café. Spacious and busy, though the decor was such that it didn't feel cramped. Not a huge amount of vegan options But the south American filter coffee was beautiful.

The cafe was quiet when I initially ordered. Upon receiving my coffee order, it was incorrect, which is fine because mistakes happen. However the barista who made it and then brought out the second attempt at my coffee order, was quite rude. The second coffee I received was also incorrect but by the time I received it, I was not willing to attempt ordering a third time. My friend also got a terrible looking, curdled, dirty chai which she returned and was given an even worse looking (and tasting) flat white. Travelled a long way to go to Barefoot for its apparent, quality coffee and service. Unfortunately, would not recommend to anyone who was thinking of doing the same.

Just had a awesome brunch today @ barefoot Barista with my mother. The lentils were to die for & so was the Turkish bread. I highly recommend going there along with a caramel iced latte! Mum had a caramel & honey cake which she loved & finished so quickly lol. Hats off to the chefs & staff, so professional! Will definitely be going back 👍🏼😃...
