Lovely cafe and bar. A Nice layout however once music started, it was very hard to converse with guests. Music was good however the volume needed to be turned down. The fish and chips were amazing and the Shank meal, the meat fell off the bone, however Ceaser salad was not good. Prices are quite high especially for the drinks.

Amazing service food exceptionally good and of very high standard, all staff very friendly with cheery attitudes and eager to assist, with all dietary requirements. The Chef is amazing and the Manager exceptional. Also very dog friendly. Well worth the visit, thoroughly recommend. Our go to every week. Thanks guys. Went to the Charming Squire recently in Brisbane definitely not up to the same standard in regards to food quality and customer service.

Friendly service. Food prices do not reflect the quality we recieved. Fried chicken wings had a strange after taste, double cheeseburger was very dry. The pork belly was rubbish. The skin was soft and rubbery as though it had just been reheated in the microwave, absolutely not worth $35. The cocktails were poorly mixed. The first half tasted purely of soda water and the bottom half contained all the alcohol. As the venue has no straws or cocktail sticks the only way I could stir the drink to mix it properly was with my cutlery from dinner.

Was an amazing experience! Had Abbey look after us, service was exemplary and did nothing but impress. Food was amazing and fresh, and the drinks were amazing. Abbey has amazing knowledge of the food and drinks, and showed us a great time! Would definitely come again.

We are locals and have come every Tuesday (kids eat free on Tuesdays) for quite some time now. This place has an awesome vibe and very good service. We expected the usual pub food but instead were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. The kids were recently treated with a brownie dessert that looked like it came from a fine dining restaurant. We had never had lucky squire beers before and now are big fans. Happy hour makes the prices great and the beer range is huge. Thanks guys for a fantastic place to take the family each week.

Excellent! Service was great, our pup was served his own dog bowl and a treat. Relaxed atmosphere, lots of outdoor space and options for seating. The anti pasto platter was fresh, lots of variety (big wedges of cheese!) and comfortably fed 2. Highly recommend as a dog friendly venue off the Main Street

The food was very disappointing and not what we expected from a Squire's restaurant. The service was below average also. We had the arancini, gnocchi, and sticky date pudding. The arancini were very average and sitting in what seemed like a mushroom paste. The gnocchi was covered in the same paste and was salty and bland. Neither of us finished the gnocchi. The sticky date pudding was also strangely salty and below average in flavour. The staff seemed to be quite disengaged and that was reflected in the service we received. There were not that many people dining last night (Monday) but on leaving, we noticed tables with uncleared plates and half eaten meals also. I have not visited a Squire's since 2019 but loved the food at Charming and Squire's Landing in Sydney. We won't be back to the Lucky Squire I am sorry to say.

I recently hosted my sons 21st at The Lucky Squire and can recommend this venue. The whole night and experience was amazing. With the help of the fantastic events staff we planned a football inspired party. Nothing was too much to ask and the team went over and above to make myself and all the guests happy. The food was so good. The beer and cider always amazing and the atmosphere was excellent. Can't wait to get back there to try some of the other food they offer and work my way through the beer menu. Thank you so much. We could not be happier.

The atmosphere is nice, but the food was not so great. I ordered a pizza and a platter and they were both really salty, and they added some more fresh salt on top of that. The other thing is that the service was very impersonal. I understand that Covid rules imply new systems , but At least hand me some cutlery before you bring the food over the table 😞

Not a bad place to catch up and have a meal. Prices are on the higher side of average. Food was nice, and tasty. Atmosphere was a little loud if you wanted chat across the table but entertainment could sing. Would go back to try other dishes.

Went on a Tuesday night; it wasn't busy and the food came out quite quickly. Ended up being just over $100 for two adults and two kids under 10. The chicken parma was great. The baked chicken or whatever it was was too smokey and lacked any flavour. The two kid's steak and chips were too rare for children.

The staff were so great, we brought our dog and he was served first, of course, with a large bowl of water and a treat. It was great to see the staff have a chat with customers. Very welcoming and very dog friendly.

Very impressive withy the wood fire roast chicken, nice and juicy, the ginger beer is great. Easy to order, good quality and quantity. Kids eat for free on Tuesday, great family saving and family gathering in the Gold Coast areas

We went to the Lucky Squire early on a Saturday evening before seeing a show at HOTA. We booked a table for 4 thinking it might be busy, it wasn’t, despite being late due to traffic. We were shown to our reserved table which was about the least pleasant table in the room. Because most of the other tables were free, we asked for another table and it was better. Everyone agreed that the food was good and prepared quickly after ordering. We found the drinks to be pretty expensive and I was disappointed with my drink on arrival being full of ice (on a cold night). There was a lady singing which was nice but generally the atmosphere was pretty quiet. It was OK but I don't think we will be rushing back anytime soon.

Great little stop at Squire's, we were just surprised by the service and personal touch , here, by George & Thomas ... luv the staff service. If you want to enjoy squires have a cheeky terrific drink. I suggest you come on down... Music is cool too.

A great venue to catch up with a large group of friends. Can be a wait for food when busy. Good pub style food - the calamari was particularly good and so were the pizzas. I’m not a beer drinker but did enjoy their limited edition ‘lemon myrtle pale ale’. I found the staff patient and pleasant.

Nice place to have some drinks. We went here for a family birthday celebration 🍾 💕 They were also really accommodating to us, and kept our own birthday cake in the kitchen and brought it out at the end for us.

Caught up with friends on Easter Sunday for lunch. Great venue (has no idea it existed lol) with a cute outdoor area, live music and a separate dining area. QR code to order both food and drinks. I did find the menu to not be that great but the chicken burger was bloody good and comes with chips 😀. Efficient staff. Service was quick. Nice little casual spot.

Overpriced for terrible service. We waited 45 mins for our first order to arrive and an extra 15mins for the second order which was placed with the QR code just 2 mins apart from each other, we were told the kitchen was busy even though more than half the tables were empty. After waiting 45 mins they brought out the entrees together with the mains!! Then my $26 calamari salad came out incomplete, it was missing the goats cheese and it looked nothing like the photo on the menu. See the attached photo, I paid $26 for a few strips of cold calamari with what looks like the packet salad mix from Coles with soggy capsicum but was advertised as "roasted peppers". There was only one waitress and she was nowhere to be found, I had to bring my salad to the kitchen where I found the waitress who hardly spoke english and couldn't understand what I was saying so she called the chef. I then waited another 15 mins (a total of 1 hr 15 mins waiting time) for my salad to come back with the cheese but it still looked nothing like what was advertised. This restaurant is terribly understaffed and there is clearly no quality check. Also they don't seem interested in the customer experience as the whole point of ordering an entree is to have something to nibble on while waiting for your main meal. We spent nearly $200 in food and drinks for a very disappointing experience. Will not return!

We held an event at the Lucky Squire on the 18th of September for over 300 guests. Tom, Jana and the team were a delight to work with organising the live music, security and food. The event was a complete success and we would not hesitate to recommend them for any event in Broadbeach. 10/10 thanks team!

Amazing service and atmosphere. Good was generous and delicious. So fresh. Highly recommend the loaded schnitzel. Best restaurant we've eaten at on the Gold Coast.

The place was quiet on the evening I visited. We ordered from the table via QR code and came across 60 minute wait times for each menu item we selected. It almost stopped us from ordering the food, contemplating going somewhere else. We even asked a waitress and they didn't know if it was an accurate time or not. We chose to order food and the wait time was no more than 15 minutes. We were surprised to receive our food so fast, yet be warned it was going to take much longer. They need to get this right as many people will finish their drinks and go elsewhere to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by the food as it was pretty good. The place was nice and it was a good experience.

Really enjoyed our visit! Had the Calamari and the Arancini, nicely done. Love their nine tails brew. Nice location. Surprisingly quick service. Only a couple of qualms, we wanted to buy more of the Mojitos but no straws for stirring to keep the alcohol from settling, we had to go back to the beers. Also you do have to recall to log into your emails and advise them you have attended your booking as its a QR code venue and no one is there to confirm you are there for your booking. Ended up with an email advising us to let them know next time we do a no show. Apart from those minors, not bad.

We ordered the BBQ pork spareribs which is served with fries, onion rings, salad & coleslaw. We both felt the meal was average for the $39 price. The coleslaw tasted like it was past its best before date so we could not eat it. The ribs were served warm (not hot). We won’t be in a hurry to come back.

I guess straws are optional when you spend over $20 on a cocktail. Very tasty though and I do love their beverages and atmosphere

If I could give no stars I would. Actually, I'd take them away. The food was ok but this was arguably the worst service I have EVER experienced. We ordered share starters but had to ask for plates which were never provided. They also failed to provide cutlery despite serving food with a SAUCE. We watched while 2 members of the wait staff chatted next to our drinks for several minutes (which were resting on the bar in a leisurely fashion, not unlike the wait staff). There were only 3 of us, but 1 member of our party received his meal a full 20 mins before the others - eat your food cold or eat it alone, you choose. When the other 2 meals finally arrived, the wait staff removed the HALF EATEN meal which had been delivered 20 mins prior without asking if the diner had finished. He had not finished but she decided for him by throwing a serviette onto his plate and whisking it away. I am astounded and wish we'd ordered pizza. We'd have saved a load of money and not had the aggravation. My recommendation is to go elsewhere or stay home, but if you want anything approaching decent service then give this place a wide berth.

Nice atmosphere however the food didn’t reflect the prices. The pizzas were tasteless and had terrible thin bases. Our alcoholic drinks were poorly mixed, payed $20 for a cocktail to taste like straight tequila and no one at our table could finish the drinks.

Attended The Lucky Squire over blues festival and the entire operation was fantastic. The place was packed with patrons, music was fantastic and plenty of staff to keep things running smoothly. Anticipated a long wait on food however we got our meals much quicker than expected. The food was fantastic and the staff were super friendly and helpful, even with how busy the venue was. Will definitely be coming back!
