I visited Maggie Choo tonight with high expectations, only to be thoroughly disappointed with the entire experience. This place failed to meet even the most basic expectations of a reputable establishment. As the administrator of a significant community group with 10,000 local members and I feel obligated to inform them of this disappointing experience, as nothing was done to meet us halfway. One of the friends dining with us owns several restaurants and was completely appalled by the lack of customer care. First and foremost, let's talk about the cocktails. Not only were they ridiculously overpriced, but they were also absolutely revolting. No one at our table was satisfied with their $24 cocktail. I have never tasted such poorly crafted and unappetizing drinks in my life and it was the first time I returned one. It felt like they were trying to mask the inferior quality of the ingredients with excessive amounts of sugar and artificial flavorings. We were appalled by the lack of skill and care put into them. But the worst part of our visit was the incident involving a precious painting I had gifted to my friend for her birthday. The food was ok, but this incident left a bad taste in our mouth and ruined the entire experience. We were given a booth, and she placed the painting on the back of it. We went away from the table for a minute, and a member of the staff thought it was a great idea to place a tray with freshly washed glasses on top of the painting. As a result, water spilled onto the painting, damaging it. Thankfully, I made the painting so I can fix it, but it was a heart-wrenching moment, and the staff's response only added insult to injury. When we brought the issue to their attention, they displayed a shocking level of apathy and indifference. Instead of taking responsibility for their negligence and offering a proper solution, they nonchalantly brushed it off and only offered a free dessert as compensation. However, the dessert turned out to be just as disappointing as the cocktails. This meager attempt at compensation was an insult, and it only further emphasized their lack of professionalism and regard for their customers. To summarize, my experience at Maggie Choo was a disaster and I feel bad for picking that place to take my friends out. Cocktails were overpriced and disgusting, the staff demonstrated a shocking lack of care and responsibility, and the compensation offered was inadequate and unsatisfactory. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. Save yourself the disappointment and find a different place to enjoy your evening.

Our experience at Maggie Choo was quite a letdown, to be honest. The manager seemed to have completely forgotten to mark our appetizer as complete. And just when we had about 25 minutes left of our dining "slot," they suddenly announced that the remaining dishes were about to come out in a rush, urging us to devour them even faster. Talk about pressure! Now, let's talk about the food. Sure, it looked fancy and all, but when it came to flavor, it fell flat. Seriously, if you're looking for some proper tasty food, I'd suggest checking out the other spots in Broadbeach. They're much more likely to impress your taste buds, trust me. Overall, this birthday meal was a major disappointment.

The food and flavours were awesome. Just a bit awkward having the banquet in 2 plates for 7 persons, we felt we were not getting as much as we should and everyone felt they had to fight for the food. Also weird you had to use a QR code and a website to order drinks but order food from a traditional menu

The food here was delicious and service was great. Highly recommend. I just wished I had had room for dessert.

Wow, this place was quite unique. From the good to the interior design this price was something to marvel at. The food we ordered had a very distinct taste and spice compared to other Asian restaurants. We weren't very hungry so we ordered a small portion of food. Some noodles rice and honey chicken. But they all came out with their own taste that covered your pallet and gave you a nice kick. The atmosphere was amazing, if you don't like busy places though I suggest going to this place on a weekday as the weekends can get quite full. But if you can get around that the scenery and design of the place is immaculate. From cherry blossoms on the ceiling to the subtle lighting the vibe was definitely fresh and vibrant. As for recommendations, everything we ate was amazing, but apparently the Mars bar spring roll was incredible so if you're a dessert person try that.

WOW! My favourite thing in the world is sashimi, and this place made me love it even more! I had the Kingfish sashimi with pineapple 🤯 Was really an amazing bite! Also had the Ceviche which was delicious, and Tom Yum dumplings which was delightful! Great place to have great food. The staff was kind and attentive, the music was vibing, lovely dinner overall.

Couldn't fault it from my experience. Had a few dishes all in which I really enjoyed. Everything was full of flavour and top notch quality. Highly recommended and will definitely go back. Cocktails are also fantastic, mango margg was elite!!

What a great dining experience. We booked in for a mothers day lunch. The food was awesome, the staff were friendly & attentive and it's a beautiful setting with the cherry blossoms hanging from the ceiling. I recommend the cheese burger spring rolls, prawn & crab dumplings and mars bar spring roll for desert...but everything we ordered was delicious.

This happened earlier in the year. My family and I approached the male, white, worker with curly hair working at the front to ask if we could book a table for later. To our surprise, the worker bluntly said “I don’t have time for this” and handed us a business card with a QR code to proceed with the booking. This could’ve been dealt with so much better and differently. How hard is it to use your manners and have some decency? As this happened a while ago, I really hope this male worker is no longer working here.

We had a group booking for Maggie Choo, and it was a great meal. Most people had the banquet, but some people ordered separately. The seafood was fantastic, and there was a great range of flavours. Unfortunately, we were told the banquet would take 2 hours, but it actually took 3.5hrs as there was a delay between each course arriving. It was OK in such a large group as it gave us a chance to talk, but it could be a problem for others. The wait staff were attentive and remembered who ordered what, which was very helpful! Thank you to all at the restaurant

Feel overpriced due to their food and services. I prefer other places where we pay the same price or higher but get a better food and service. I expected more for the price that I have to pay. Overall food taste very average. Service needed to be improve, we asked for water since the start but never get it. Food also very slow, and came out one by one (each one is nearly 20mins gap) not all together.

Fantastic tasting food & great dining atmosphere. Unfortunately tiny Portion sizes in comparison to the large price tag as well lack of service from uninterested wait staff. If you’re going to charge high end prices at the very least give high end service. 😁

Amazing food - got the banquet and couldn’t fault the food. Unfortunately the waiters were not the best, bringing plates out and not clearing empty glasses whilst at the table. Had to call them over to order drinks - it wasn’t too busy either. The atmosphere makes up for though - beautiful decorations and lighting. Will definitely go back!

The food was really good but wasn’t worth the price as it was such a small portion. Food and drinks were extremely slow and it took an hour for the last dish to arrive. The waiter noticeably didn’t know which table the food was for. When asked what dish it was, waiter looked panicked.

The broccoli was done well, with a good mix of western and Asian flavours. The poke bowl came in a big portion and was hearty. The flavour of the ingredients in the poke bowl complemented each other - with a mix of sweet, savoury and even bitter notes. Very good. The bao was a good combination of sweet, savoury and sour taste.

The food tasted amazing. We had 4 dishes all of which were filled with flavour. The cocktails were also great. There was such a large selection of signature and common cocktails it was incredibly difficult to choose just one. The service was also delightful. The only downside was the price of each dish considering the relatively small portion size. The beef was $55 for a sliver of meat. Despite this our experience was great. Maggie Choo’s is definitely a place you should visit at least once!

Great food, friendly staff and an amazing Mars bar spring roll on the desert menu. The drinks service could be quicker, had to follow up a couple times after we’d ordered but apart from that it was fantastic. Great looking place too, really funky feel. Do yourself a favour!

Disappointed. Service felt very rushed as we had a late night booking, and the staff didn't seem to know what the dishes were. Food was aesthetic at best; the dumplings we ordered were pricey ($20 for 4!) and the sauce on top tasted like it was store bought. Quality was definitely not on par with the price.

We went here for the first time on Mother’s Day and were stoked!! Food was 12/10, service 10/10, decor 10/10. My mum and I couldn’t stop talking about how AMAZING and flavourful all the food was - our favourite was the prawn and bug curry 🤤 and the honey lime chicken wings! So many gluten free options too - will definitely be my new go to for Asian fusion 🤍✨

We loved our night out at Maggie Choo. The restaurant is so beautifully decorated. You are spellbound from the moment you arrive. The food was next level. We loved each of our dishes. 10/10 for the food, complements to the chef. The service was good, we couldn’t fault their attention to detail. Our only criticism was the volume of the music, it was so loud, we couldn’t hear the person opposite us at the table. This made it hard to have a conversation or to talk to the staff. Other than that, we really enjoyed our night at Maggie Choo.
