Stayed in the Jungle Vibe Double Bed Room. Cosy little nook which looks to be revamped from an old motel place. Nice touches and details to the room - love the use of eco friendly products, such as bamboo toilet paper, toothbrush, toiletries, etc. There is a magnesium pool and a nice comfy bed. Centrally located at the heart of palm beach, with outdoor parking options so you can directly walk up to your room. Barry who runs Tessa's was super friendly and attentive throughout the entire process - from meeting and greeting, providing the breakfast box to checking out - truly makes the experience at Tessa's pleasant!

My friend, Lauren and I had a very relaxing first stay at Tessa's. Barry and the team were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast box was delicious and fresh, the pool was divine and the beach directly in front of the hotel, amazing! We can't wait to return!

Despite the poor weather, my partner and I still had a fantastic time. I decided to go to Tessa’s as a trip away for my girlfriends birthday. Barry was quick to wish her a happy birthday and gifted us a complimentary bottle of wine - which wasn’t requested. He was constantly checking up on us, making sure everything was fine. Great location, great hospitality - would recommend.

The boutique I work for used Tessa’s as a photoshoot location and were so happy with our experience. Beautiful gardens, immaculately kept, many beautiful backdrops to shoot with. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, great response times to our enquiries. Food and beverages available onsite which looked delicious, we wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the venue afterwards. A hidden gem for brands looking to shoot on the Gold Coast.

Was a great stay! Perfect for a short getaway if you love the beach at your doorstep with a price of a hotel at a lesser location!Tom the receptionist and bartender was very welcoming and kind!

Staff very friendly and helpful, best location to beach. Bikes to use as bikeway and walkway right out the front of property on the beach. Very clean . Lovely pool. Ample, well placed furniture.

Stayed overnight on a recent toad trip. Room was small but lovely comfortable bed and great hot shower. Beach on your doorstep but not really walking distance to anywhere else. Nice bar area. Limited pizza menu but pricey drinks.

Loved staying at Tessa's on the Beach! What an epic location and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. My room was very spacious and clean. Great that there are free bikes available as well.

Pack your ear plugs if you’re in a room anywhere near the road, it’s noisy and it goes all night unlike the planes which stop at 11pm. Nice simple room. Rather pricey for what they’re offering.

Brilliant Reno of an old 1970's motel. Very trendy, staff are very helpful and free use of bicycles.

We were overwhelmed with the outfitting of the room. I love vintage inspired locations and this one is pure perfection. Our room was located on the poolside and contained the sweetest kitchenette/bar, loungeroom, king sized bed with a TV, bathroom with a double shower and amazing deep bath tub. We had the choice of using air conditioning or fans which is ingenious. The pool is so pretty at night and a delicious temperature any time of the day on dinner days. Only a few steps away from the beach it is the perfect location. Upon arrival we were informed that freshly made coffee is on the house and they even provide alternative milks. FYI they know how to make a great coffee too. They have a little bar/cafe and have a great selection of alcoholic beverages. I couldn't recommend Tessa's enough. We will definitely be back.

Amazing location right on the beach. The rooms are modern and decorated well. Brekky box each morning is an added bonus and delicious. Would definitely stay again!!

My partner and I absolutely love this hotel. Having it right on the beach front with a bar and restaurant is exactly what we are after for our wedding. However, we are very disappointed in the lack of communication as we have enquired multiple times via the website and spoken to the lovely manager on site and have had zero response from the functions co-ordinator. We would really appreciate it if someone could please get back to us.

Cute little boutique hotel. I didn’t stay here but visited friends who were and it’s perfect for a group of friends, which was the case for us. Right on the beach. Sunset was beautiful! Pool area and hotel decor in general was gorgoeus. Would recommend if you want to be closer to the airport, beach front away from the hustle and bustle of surfers.

We had a fabulous stay at Tessa’s over the long weekend. Rooms were stylish and clean, staff extremely friendly and perfect location right on the beach. We really enjoyed our breakfast box and coffees delivered to the room each morning too. Will definitely stay again!

I will start off saying that the accommodation staff & deco of the place was great. They've done really well with renovating what is an old motel style complex, and the reception staff were warm and welcoming. However, if you plan on getting an uninterrupted nights sleep. I strongly suggest booking a proper hotel - located very close to the airport runway & main road, you will hear constant road traffic noise and aeroplanes landing/taking off regularly during the day and late into the night. The sound proofing in the rooms are just not adequate for the location. For the price that is currently being offered, it just doesn't seem right.

Very happy visiting our friend who stayed at Tessa’s 3 nights in holiday season. Loved the fit out of the whole place - relaxed, minimalist, 50’s Californian vibe 😎🍹 Excellent standard of cleanliness 🤩 Delicious breakfast, coffee & drinks 🥐🍇☕️🥂 Great, friendly, helpful service/communication from Eddy & Shannon - such a welcome change from cookie cutter hotel chains. Magnesium pool a refreshing dream to swim in - not a smell of chlorine in sight - hooray! Location fantastic - stone’s throw from the flagged Tugun beach 🏖️ Nowhere is ‘cheap’ to stay these days so would rather enjoy time away somewhere different 😎

Gorgeous stay on the Gold Coast. Located close to the airport, right on the beach. Fantastic service, definitely recommend it.

I rarely give a full star rating, but Bazza has been very accommodating, the premises is the wife's name Tess, its got a 70's theme, I feel like I'm on the Hawaii five O series, brekky is pastries and yoghurt with fresh fruit... beach is behind the hotel where the original house is located.. beautiful 😗👌

Real stinker of a place to stay. Basically an old motel. Very below par accom. The price is a joke for what it is. Not convenient to any shops and has loud planes going over. Stay in a proper hotel. One of the worst places I’ve stayed in my life.

We stayed at Tessa's on the beach for a quick weekend getaway. The staff were incredible - Eddie most notably was amazing! I had accidentally left my AirPods in the room and he posted them to my address immediately upon request. The views are insane! Have never stayed at such an affordable location with the beach literally on your doorstep. They had a great magnesium pool set within a 60s vibe and around 15 bikes/helmets that are accessible for all guests! We had a few wines each night at the super cute bar - the Sav Blanc was delicious and only $10 a glass. Highly recommend Tessa's for a weekend romantic holiday or even an easy holiday with the family. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Our new favorite holiday hotel in the Gold Coast!

Staff really friendly; great breakfast; so close to the beach; saw whales and went for a few perfect swims. Nice boutique feel to it and tasteful decor.

We stayed in a Sandy Toes seafront room, and its simply a gorgeous place to be. The room itself is quite small but well apppointed, and who needs space in there because you'll be sitting out on the patio, in the bar or on the beach :)

Fantastic location right on the beach. Fin the barman made the best cocktails. Rooms are freshly renovated and the whole place was spotless and clean. Great value and definitely be back at the price we paid 👍🏻

Nice but totally over priced for what you get. Good beach location. Also poor young receptionist red faced when she had to say she wasn't permitted to accept Cash. Cash is legal tender , its illegal to NOT accept it. We would've been screwed if we didn't have our card with us. Probably wouldn't recommend to interstate travellers

Such a beautiful place to stay. Very modern. Barry, the manager, went above and beyond to look after us on our wedding day! Thanks Barry, we will be back to enjoy the accomodation again!

This place is amazing . I didn’t stay but will be, as my friend did. The only thing I would suggest is, that if you are going to run a bar ( which is brilliant) please stock it properly or at least with minimal range of wines etc. Otherwise what a fabulous retro style place to stay.

We wanted a place to stay near Kirra and choices where limited. The staff are nice, and the place is fresh with a beach lifestyle feel but it's borders on being a backpacker’s accommodation. We paid $300 for the night but we knew accommodation was limited for the dates we wanted. We checked in and stayed for the afternoon but packed our stuff and went home before 11pm the same day. The furniture seems to be made locally from plywood and isn't very useful. All facilities are very minimalist so it's more like going camping. We really felt like we were staying in a 1970's caravan and probably suite a group of surfers who just want a place to crash more than a middle-aged couple.

We loved our stay at Tessa’s. The location is absolute beachfront. It is a renovated 1960’s motel with a wonderful 1960’s retro feel. The rooms are small but comfortable. The pool and bar area are great. There are plenty of bikes to use on the beachfront path. The Tugun shops and cafes are only a short picturesque bike ride away. Barry the manager is very friendly and hospitable and gave us 5 star service. He took our bags to the room, brought us drinks to the beachside terrace and to the pool and was always there to greet us. We will definitely return.
