Ross Evans Garden Centre

Cafe Garden center Plant nursery Wholesale plant nursery

😠 I have bought 2 plants from Ross Evans Runaway Bay which are not as described or labelled correctly . One was an expensive Camellia japonica ( $190 )which I was assured would not ball - every bud does ball and at the end of August is yet to have one flower open although it has been massed with buds... People often mention plants, staff, garden, pots, cafe, service, nursery, good, member, centre,

Lovely set up of nursery plants, good displays, some unusual plants. Bit pricey compared to places like bunnings. Great selection of pots.

I have bought 2 plants from Ross Evans Runaway Bay which are not as described or labelled correctly . One was an expensive Camellia japonica ( $190 )which I was assured would not ball - every bud does ball and at the end of August is yet to have one flower open although it has been massed with buds . The other plant labelled as Medinilla magnifica is not Medinilla magnifica although I was assured by a staff member that it was . Staff claim that by law they are not allowed to accept returns although Bunning accept returns ( Why ? ). Staff are only interested in effecting Credit Card transactions and have little or no knowledge . Ross Evans is more interested in their cafe than they are the nursery .

Fertiliser, mulches and poisons. Fairy gardens to pottery, pots and wall hangings. It's all here. There is even cafe 63 for a snack and a cuppa while walking the many isles. From micro herbs to succulents. It's a green feast for those doing a little rock feature to a total garden revamp. Do yourself a favour and do a walk through, I found insence and oils in the one part. Pots of all shapes and sizes. Wheelchair and handicap parking friendly. Staff are very helpful. We will be back.

Lovely garden centre with beautiful plants. Cafe was really nice and great value. Cafe took my cash, but couldn't purchase anything in the nursery as sadly they didn't want my cash.

Great service and reasonably priced plants but always healthy each time I've bought them from here. Wonderful knowledgeable advice from Jenna..service with a smile 😃. Highly recommend. One small question is why cash is not accepted

A good garden Centre with Cafe 63 inside the Centre. Good collection of plants, pots, garden ornaments and other garden supplies. Friendly staff and great customer service. The staff packed my purchase (two bird cast) in bubble wrap so that I can carry it without damaging. Thank you!

I spent hundreds of dollars at the Coombabah centre on pots and plants about 12 months ago and was very happy with my purchase. Today I drove over an hour up the coast to purchase 3 more pots and plants. After 10 mins of walking through the pot section and looking for a staff member to provide assistance, I approached the girl at the register (who had looked my way more than once in the previous 10 mins but failed to offer any assistance). I had a large trolley which would indicate my intent to purchase something, well, large. I asked the girl if there was someone who could provide assistance about pots and plants. She came back a few mins later and told me I had to go over the other side of the nursery to talk to the staff member as she was watering plants. I understand plants need to be watered but I was about to spend $1,000 and the least I expected was for a staff member to come to me, particularly as I was right near the items I had questions about! I suggested to the young girl that the staff member needed to come to me(and for the reason explained). When she did come to me I reiterated my complaint and she was very rude in her response, like she couldn’t care less about customer service. I asked if there was someone else that could assist me (because her attitude sucked!!) she spoke to another staff member who was actually very helpful and got an $850 sale from me. I am happy that I got the pots I wanted which matched the ones I already have, but probably won’t ever be back. I’ll head south next time! It’s interesting that customer service is not at the forefront of business’ minds these days. Very disappointed!

Plants are of good quality, and staff share their knowledge with customers if needed. Plus, cafe 63 has an affordable menu and great coffee and service.

I just love this place! Diversity of plants, trees, flowers and amazing pots. And they have a cafe😍🙏🏻 You can find good plants for reasonable price, just have to hunt haha.

Nicely set out relaxing cafe set amongst the garden centre. Prices were moderate. Food was ok but not great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A pleasure to visit on a fine autumn day. Stroll through the large nursery grounds to the open air but well protected Cafe 63. Expansive cafe menu of tasty and novel offerings, however very long wait times (well over 30 minutes) even though the cafe was only half full. Price point is acceptable. On the day, some of the waitresses were welcoming and attentive while others clearly were inexperienced and unfamiliar with the menu and how to treat customers. Depends on your luck. But then again this is a common issue on the Gold Coast. Long black coffee is consistently lousy.

Great range of plants and pots. Plants always look healthy and well looked after. Only negative is staff not always showing a desire to assist/help.

This place is a slice of heaven on earth. Great selection of good quality, well acclimatised plants that last the distant. The nursery itself is always calm and a great place to stroll around loosing an hour or two picking through the selection. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable and always serve with a smile.

I love going here for all my garden needs. The staff are so helpful with regard to the best plants to put in certain areas of my garden based on sun or shade. The service is exceptional, my plants are packed up nicely, put in the boot. They will ring me regarding something I have requested when it comes in. The plants are of excellent quality and advice about caring for them or about any problems is second to none.

Lovely, relaxing, well stocked nursery. So good we visited twice while on holidays. Also lovely to sit in the cafe and look out over the plants, enjoying good food and drinks

Best time to buy roses is in early July. Prices a bit of premium side but you’d get more selection of pots. Food was ok. Price for cafe a bit pricey considering the food quality, and presentation. Overall very satisfied. I bought David Austin Roses where you cant really find it easily in Bunnings.

I’m new to Brisbane and had no idea what would be best to replant my garden. The lovely young person at Kenmore garden centre gave me exactly the service I was hoping for. She helped suggest what would suit my garden and my lifestyle and was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you very much 😊

What an absolutely brilliant garden centre. My Mum and I came to the Morningside centre and were so impressed with the quality of the plants and the beautiful setting. As an elderly walker, it was easy access for Mum and she found exactly what she was looking for at a great value price. The staff were super-helpful and friendly too. Looking forward to our next visit.

👍👍 Yatala pies are just amazing. I often find myself coming up with a reason to drive down the coast just to get one with their chips and gravy. If you haven't gone before and you live around the area, what on earth are you doing with your life? Go get some! The staff are always super friendly and the...
