Very very bad food I have ever ate in Gold Coast. Very bad service. I ordered vegetable korma and they gave us some coles packets vegetables boiled in sauce. Not even fresh at all. Also the quantity is very poor as you can hardly find any vegetables in the sauce. Also the chicken curry have very poor quantity. You will hardly find 3 small pieces of chicken which maybe $22 dollars.most disgusting thing is when you are in the restaurant there is no menu. You will asked for order online sitting down at the table and you have to pay online and also you have to provide all your personal details Including your home address, credit card details to them which is not safe.if I choose to pay by my card or cash over there they will refuse to take payment. So be careful everyone before going to that disgusting restaurant. After finishing my order online they just bring the food within 5 minutes.that means the food is not freshly cooked.I am attaching some photos then everyone can see the food quantity and quality. They just boiled some chicken and vegetables in same sauce. I will highly recommend not to go to that restaurant. It’s just makes me angry every time when I think about the service. They charge me almost $70 dollars for three items as it’s just totally waste of money.

Have been to the Sankalp at Annerley & was surprised to notice a Sankalp at Surfers. Was eager to visit & definitely did not disappoint. The same amazing South Indian food. Love the authentic dosas & the selections of spicy sauces. Great service too

Poor hygiene! Staff wheeled in a trolley full of dirty dishes and parked it right beside us to clear a nearby table. He later spilled the trolley of plates on the floor! We ate off plastic plates, while watching another staff member scrubbing other plates with a tea towel (which she dropped on the floor). She must have scrubbed 50 plates! Have they been properly washed? Dirty dishes were on the floor near the bar area. Many staff walked past without collecting them. Some took photos! We complained to the owner but he was not interested. He offered to comp the meal but we paid, we just want to help him make a better restaurant! GC Council Health Dept, try eating there!!

Well, I can't complain about the food. But when you go to a restaurant, you direct more than just food. We ordered chat, paneer, chicken, naan, roti, and Jack Daniels. We were greeted well on arrival. There is a service bell placed at each table. But you may have to ring twice or thrice to get someone to hear you out. The cutlery was finished, and we had to call someone. My son ordered a chat, and we got it almost 70% through our dinner. There was no water on the table, we requested once and got, and second time, our service bells were ignored. We requested Green Chillies, and we were told that would be chargeable as that is part of Salad 🥗. We agreed and still never got them. I requested JD on rocks with only 2 ice cubes. There were 6 ice cubes in the glass, and that ruined the taste by the time I had the glass on my table. The crowd was loud. No one can control that, though, and that has not been factored in rating. But, it might have been a busy evening being werkend and kids holidays. I still recommend the restaurant as food was amazing. Cheers 🍻

Came from Sydney on holiday and found this restaurant. My wife and I sat in this place and found the relaxed ambiance, environment was great also the restaurant is very neat and clean. In addition to this, I have always heard the quality over quantity but this gem has both the quality and quantity. Pure Indian traditional taste which sadly i have never experienced in Sydney. The customer service is absolutely top notch with respectful attitude. Will definitely come back. Also I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants quality, quantity, ambiance, and cleanliness. Five STARS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We visited Brisbane Aspley and Annerley location Sankalp shops multiple times. Always i order my favourite menu Masala idli. I have had it more than 20 times in those restaurants. I ordered the same in goldcoast, and I got just idli with very mild masala. I would say it was 10% compared to other shops. When I asked about it, the manager/owner said don't compare with other restaurants. I don't understand what the issue is if I compare Sankalp to Sankalp. He said the one in Brisbane for Indian community and their restaurant for international tourists. The one thing I do not understand when you have shop board with - Best authentic Indian restaurant - how it differs based on location. End of the day authentic means authentic nothing else. And Brisbane Indians don't visit if you want the same other Brisbane restaurants taste. Save the regrets.

My first time experience at the restaurant (for dinner) was good. Second time, I went around 5 pm, hoping to have snacks and tea. And guess what, this Indian restaurant doesn’t have chai! Usually, in other restaurants, even if it’s not on the menu, people are nice enough to make it for us. But this place didn’t care about it. Then we ordered idly vada (costed us $10) and we were surprised to see a really small portion of idly. Edit: since restaurant mentioned what more they can do in $10.. I will say this.. label the dish “mini Idly Wada”, because if you label it as just “Idly Wada”, then one is bound to think that it’s a regular size. Deeply disappointed.

We went there for dinner on my husband's birthday. He used to go Sankalp when we were in India. But here we had a worst experience there in gold coast. We went there first time, We ordered Pav bhaji thats totally wastage of money, Manchurian was okay, spicy schezwan dosa was not bad but last thing my husband ordered for him that was cheesy garlic dosa and he found steel wool in his dosa. His whole birthday evng was spoiled. They give us another serve of dosa because of that steel wool , really disappointed service. Staff was nice and quick but food was poor in quality. Not recommended

Liked their Biryani, which was unbelievably good, spicy as authentic. Also tried Goat curry which was bursting with flavours. Atmosphere was awesome, service was excellent. Only thing they could improve in these two dishes or others they to cook their chicken and meat slightly more, as was not that tender which I was expecting.

The food is fresh and tasty here. We loved all the food we ordered. Service was good, however we were told we ordered two drinks that we didn’t order and they insisted we did order them, soon enough, staff realised it was a table mix up. Besides that, I highly recommend this place! I’d say it’s one of the best Indian restaurants on the Gold Coast!

Two consecutive days in a row at the same restaurant. Enjoyed every bite of Paneer Lababdar and Lachcha Paratha yesterday. Had Mysore Chatpata Dosa tonight which was delicious too. I was really pleased/grateful by the service provided by all the staff members. They were completely exhausted as it was very busy but they had a smiling face the entire time. Highly recommended for Indian food.

The food here is spectacular!! An endorsement of if any restaurant is how full it is of patrons… it was packed. The best endorsement was that it was packed with Indians enjoying traditional food. The service could be better in terms of friendliness… but food was delivered very promptly. Their Long Island iced tea is probably one of the best I’ve had.

During my one week in Gold Coast I’ve already been to this restaurant twice! Their service is exceptional and the food is ambrosial. Staff is kind, attentive and friendly, Cooks are open to your culinary needs. My kid loved eating here. Great place for family and friends.

Very courteous. My daughter was not drinking soup so the owner person an elderly uncle immediately got a lolly pop for her. There was no need for him but he did and I can easily see affection and care in his eyes for the people. I got deeply moved. We don't go to restaurants much but I would like to come again here. If the owners is reading this then please convey our message to elderly uncle. Again I would like to thank him. Food was yummy too . I will highly recommend this place.

We went to holiday in gold coast and found this good Indian restaurant. I loved biryani, tandoori chicken , kaju curry, naan, roti. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is good. When you are travelling for more than 3 days in gold coast and bored of bread and crave for biryani, this place is good. Price are bit high compare to Melbourne but it's same eve6where in gold coast.

Sankalp in Gold Coast offered a flavorful experience with the Kheema Dosa, featuring excellent chutney and satisfactory sambar. The Mutton Biryani, while aromatic, was just okay. Overall, a positive dining experience, especially if you're a fan of well-prepared dosas.

  • 2/5 Vivek M. 1 year ago on Google
We ordered Goat Biryani and the taste was alright however no efforts were taken to ensure the meat is well cooked. Moreover, the rice quantity what you see in the attached pictures is the only quantity of rice, rest all beneath the rice were massive chunks of uncooked goat pieces. Such disappointing experience was unexpected from a pricey restaurant like Sankalp and when reported to the manager to prove how much food we wasted, we were discounted only 10% of the total bill.
