This place is great! Food is delicious, one of the best Persian meals I’ve had outside Iran. They clearly know what they’re doing and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Persian classics full of flavour and 100% worth it -quality/price is awesome!!

The staff was very lovely and accomodating.The food was very delicious and has big serving. The pita was nice and soft, the meat were juicy and very tasty, the rice was fantastic and very addictive 🥹 The cake was yummy and tea was very cute. We will definitely go back again.

Baba Joon has beautiful food and beautiful people. Each dish was wholesome and tasty. After our meal, we tried saffron ice cream for the first time. It was delightful. I'm glad we stopped to try this restaurant, having only stumbled across it last minute. With tables of happy people plus affordable dishes, it's a no-brainer.

Used to be regular here when it was Shiraz, This is my first visit since it changed to Baba Joon under new owner. Did not disappoint at all!! Great quality food, very generous portion and all the meat was perfectly grilled. Service is very friendly. Will definitely be back. Only minor criticism I have is they are tad bit on the lower side on salt. Little more salt will bring more balance.

We had a kebab sharing plate, and it was brilliant. We had been acknowledged and seated within seconds after our arrival. The cold water and menus they been brought to our table straight away. After we ordered, the food didn't took long to be served to us. The portion was huge. We couldn't finish between 2 adults. It was very tasty like we remembered from our last visit 7 years ago. At the end of the meal, the hostess offered us a complimentary persian tea that we like it very much. We have enjoyed our experience in this restaurant and we'll be back.

Paradise for BBQ meat lovers. Wonderful place with amazing food and outstanding service. With BYO as an added bonus! We had great time dining with friends at an outside table. The meals were cooked to perfection, tender meats, perfectly cooked rice and super fresh salad. We have to visit again as the whole experience was just perfect.

We picked this restaurant for dinner during our stay in Gold Coast because it had very good reviews and we were not disappointed. The place is not big or fancy, but the staff was friendly, the dishes were very generous portions and most importantly delicious. We really enjoyed the food, and our children who had never tried Persian cuisine before, loved it. Highly recommend this place!

First time having Persian food and i loved the Koobideh so much! Nice balance of flavours, didn’t feel heavy afterwards and the lamb was moist and tender. The best part was definitely the warmth of the staff. My waitress was super attentional and I felt right at home at her care :)

What a fantastic experience. The amazing team catering for our family of 16. The service staff were polite, friendly and couldn’t help you enough. The food was delicious, especially the platters, well worth it. If you’re in surfers you need to call in and sample the food. We will definitely be back.

Lovely place, just a stroll away from Mantra Legends. Very lovely staff, great hospitality and the food was delicious. Highly recommend their lamb cutlets. We had the Shah Platter, Mix Platter and a trio of dips. We even added another serve of lamb cutlets!

The best food we’ve ever had during our stay on the Gold Coast last week. We’ve never had Persian food before, the lady recommended us what to get and it was delicious!! The savoury rice was nice and fluffy (now I’m craving one just to think about it) it was perfectly cooked, we also got complimentary tea afterwards. Great food, great service, nice place. My Fosalia stew and rice didn't go too well together, and my portions were not that generous, however, the people I was with had much larger portions and the food was excellent. I would definitely go again for some great Persian food. Ordered in pic the Fosalia, Gheymeh, Shish, Joojeh Arabia and Adas.

Oh dear, the best meal we had in Gold Coast. So tasty, big portions, good value. Restaurant is very busy, but you still able to get your orders relatively quick. High recommended!

Interesting point was their multicultural customers. It shows how they are doing fantastic job. All staffs on the floor are professional and kindly serve the customers. The lady (Saba) on the floor was super friendly, great welcoming and always with a lovely smile serves the customers. Highly recommended:)

The food is absolutely amazing! Tender meats, loads and loads of flavour and huge portions that won’t break the bank but beware: you won’t be able to stop eating even if you’re full. That’s how good it is! Not to mention the vegetarian food is absolutely delicious too. Plus super warm and friendly service both from the wait staff and the owner. A MUST if you’re in the area!!!

Month of visit October 2023 First time trying this restaurant in Goldcoast. The food was nice, lot of spices and importantly it was a halal restaurant. The baklava was delicious but the pistachio was very fair and a bit too sweet for me. The place is also pretty, decent and fine. The waitress is so friendly and kind, she even also allow my friend and i Sholat in the restaurant. Good to try if you are in Goldcoast!

We had a beautiful lunch at Baba Joon. It was a very pleasant surprise as it is just behind our hotel. We love Persian food and cook it often. I had a stew (khoresht) with okra. The meat was very tender and beautifully seasoned. The rice was also excellent and it came with a plentiful salad. Everything was plentiful and I took 1/2 of it for later :) My husband has two type of kebabs and those were very delicious as well. The prices are very reasonable compared to some other Persian restaurants in the area. Would most certainly recommend it to anyone who likes Persian food.

It was our first time at Baba Joon and we will go there more often for dinner. We can recommend the restaurant 100%. The food was great for all of us and we all had very large portions. The taste was perfect and my lamb was so tender. Kudos to the kitchen. The young lady who served us was so friendly and very attentive. We were given a delicious tea to finish.

On Tuesday 7th August 2023. My partner and I went to Baba Joon Persian Grill Restaurant - Surfer’s Paradise for Lunch and was greeted by Saba. We ordered Joojeh Arabia - Chicken Breast pieces marinated with our unique 13 spice mix, served with saffron rice, grilled tomato, side salad with one extra skewer to share. The food was delicious, beautiful presentation of food, generous portion size, filling and was also happy with the customer service too. Saba was polite and friendly. A huge shout out to chef too. Good job. Highly recommended. Thank you.

It is difficult to find a good lunch around Surfers Paradise. I was really happy with my dish at Baba Joon. The serving on the plate was huge at a really reasonable price. Our waitress was really polite and attentive. A great experience all-round. Will definitely be back.

First time trying Persian food. Such a great meal and good value for money. Portions are really generous. This place is toddler friendly and super close to the Surfer’s Main strip so if you’re looking to try something new this place is great!

I have been there twice now, really like the food there teaste so good. specially the chicken, I can taste a little bit spicy but just perfect. waitresses there are really nice too, she gave us free tea in the end. it was just the perfect way to finish the dinner
