Our family booked the whole lodge and one cabin so we could all be together for my nephew's wedding in Salida the second weekend of September. We were so thrilled with the whole experience: the ambiance of the lodge, the wonderful rooms & cabin, the huge table we could all gather around for brunch, and the snacks provided for free. Being able to share one place together created an extraordinary special place for our mini family reunion of 20 people, including three small children. Both evenings we loved hanging out on the back deck to share stories and wine. Sara, the owner was SUCH a wonderful help to us, always available to answer any question and provide any assistance she could. My whole family loved it!

Blue Coyote is a terrific hideaway just outside Salida, one of my two or three favorite towns in Colorado. Our room was a study in updated midcentury modern, with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and mountains and a big marble shower room around the corner. The public areas looked and felt like a welcoming family home, complete eithnliving room fireplace. I would like to try to single out an area for imorocement- but I cannot think of one! Worth. Detour and then hike, dine, and/or ski!

Absolutely loved this place! Stayed here for a wedding weekend with a group of friends and the amount of "thank you"s I received for finding the place was off the charts. Rooms were beautiful and well kept. Property was gorgeous. The resort was so flexible with me and answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Thank you!

When they’re not booked for an event, they rent out individual rooms. We stayed overnight in the Mountaineer room. We loved it. It was so easy to get in with our key code. The room was beautiful and comfortable, everything perfectly clean. We loved the extra touches like the nice teas and coffee that we’re available. And the location is perfect. They’re very close to downtown Salida, but you’re surrounded by beautiful nature. Next time we’ll stay longer!

We had our wedding at the Blue Coyote Ranch! Having everything in one place - rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and lodging for everyone - made it so easy and allowed ample time for everyone to be together and enjoy a lot of quality time. Sara and Mike have gone above and beyond in making every part of the ranch feel special, inviting, and warm. Their attention to every detail, the cleanliness and modern design, and their obvious love for what they are creating at Blue Coyote infused our wedding weekend with even more magic. We are so grateful that we found the Blue Coyote Ranch, and will absolutely be planning future anniversaries, family reunions, or just a quiet weekend getaway to one of our favorite mountain towns here! If you are looking for a place to stay while you're in Salida, the Blue Coyote provides excellent amenities and proximity to downtown while making you feel like you're at a private mountain retreat. We wholeheartedly recommend the Blue Coyote Ranch!

We love the Blue Coyote! We rented out the ranch for our wedding weekend. Our guests loved it. What a blast! The location is great and the recent renovations are really nice. The owner Sarah and Mike were friendly, accommodating, and responsive. We highly recommend! Thanks again!

What a gem! Came to Saluda for the Monarch Crest Crank and brought my mustang. The trails for horseback riding were easy to access and Modoc loved his barn and corral. Our cabin was perfect.

Blue Coyote Ranch was the perfect space for our wedding and we feel so fortunate that we were able to use the ranch for our special time. Being locals to the area we knew we wanted to have the wedding close to home while also providing comfortable and unique accommodations for our out of town family and friends. BCR checked all of the boxes and more for our vision and guests. We stayed on the property for the weekend to soak in the love and many of our family members took advantage of the private, cute and highly functional cabins on-site and unique inn rooms while they were visiting for the week of celebrations. Having the option to have our closest family members and friends stay on property provided easy transition, less driving and an intimate time together. Our beloved pup even got to enjoy all of the festivities with us! The cleanliness of the inn, cabins and property are top notch, the amenities are modern and create comfort, the backdrop is beyond beautiful and the attention of detail in all aspects of the property make you feel special that you are there. If possible, I probably would've never left and moved into BCR full time (husband and pup in tow of course)! Sara, Mike and team have thought of it all and then some. If you are looking for a special and functional space in the mountains for your event, look no further!

This venue exceeded our expectations! We rented out the cabins and the main lodge for our wedding and was blown away at the cleanliness and amenities! Sara and Mike are absolutely fantastic hosts! We couldn't have asked for a better location and backdrop! The extra work that was put in by her and her team made us and all the guests not wanting to leave! Each cabin was so cozy and felt like a home away from home. Our families ate mostly in the main lodge with the amazing table that somehow accommodated everyone! To have all the family in one room was quite remarkable and enabled us to have memories that we haven't ever been able to have! From the walking trail, to the dog park, hand-made custom bean bag toss boards, the outdoor covered dance floor, plus the benches, aspen arch, walkway with Flagstone, needless to say there were so many details that we are beyond blessed to have Our Wedding at this exquisite site. Then when our florist disappeared a month before our wedding she connected us with a new florist! Even helped us get set up with American Adventure Expedition rafting company, and even Captain Zip-Line Adventure Course!

We stayed a week in Cabin #3 and absolutely loved it! More of my family had 2 other cabins the same week that we were there. The cabins are spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The Blue Coyote Ranch is close to town yet isolated in the country side and very quite and peaceful. Sara and Mike were friendly and available when our family needed them. We went four wheeling, hot springs, zip lining, and the Royal Georg during the days and Salida is a great little town to enjoy the evenings. I definitely recommend staying here.

My boyfriend and I just got back from the most wonderful, magical getaway weekend at the beautiful Blue Coyote Ranch. It will be hard to put into words what am amazing place this is. The cabins on the ranch are quiet and relaxing, very clean and accommodating, so comfy and warm, simply lovely. We slept like babies the whole time because their mattresses are really, really nice. Gorgeous mountain views surround you here with lots of wildlife to see too! The precious little town of Salida is within minutes of the ranch and has many cute shops and really impressive, delicious restaurants to eat at also! The owners of the ranch, Mike and Sara, were hands down two of the nicest people we have ever met!! They make sure your stay is nothing but wonderful and we appreciated them so very much. What a perfect place for a mountain getaway, but also an absolutely ideal spot if you are looking for a perfect wedding venue with lots of space for wedding guests too! My boyfriend and I definitely could picture us getting married here <3 We cannot wait to go back to this ranch, our new favorite spot! Thanks so much Blue Coyote Ranch!! See you next time!!

What a beautiful place to stay! The accommodations were perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed using the common areas downstairs...the coffee bar and the spacious, comfortable living area, as well as the deck outside. It was peaceful, and the scenery was breathtaking. We loved everything about it, and will definitely be back!

Recently stayed at the Ranch for a wedding. The property is picturesque, so stunning. Lodging was fantastic and the bed were extremely comfortable. The way the mountains surround the grounds creates an amazing landscape. The perfect backdrop for a wedding or special event. We will be returning anytime we’re in Salida. Sara and Mike were amazing hosts, you can tell they love what they do. Couldn’t recommend the Blue Coyote more!

Our stay was fantastic! Easy check in, great communication. Our room "Geologist" was clean, comfortable and perfect for our party of 3. I love supporting independent business and this was a great value and a much better alternative to the traditional motel/hotel model. Felt like we were staying at a friends house...but better:)

The ranch was so beautifully outfitted. I could tell a lot of love and intention went into all the decisions. Our bathroom looked newly remodeled and was beautiful and was just a few steps from our room (the mountaineer bathroom is just across the hall, and not inside the room). We could see beautiful stars at night, lots of outdoor and indoor places to hang out. We would definitely come back! Thanks for a great stay.
