A
shadow
of
what
it
used
to
be.
After
all
I've
heard
about
the
Yankari
Game
Reserve,
I
thought
I
was
in
for
a
swell
time.
I
was
disappointed
on
all
fronts.
Overpriced
rooms
with
no
functional
TV,
no
water
heater,
no
soap
and
no
tissue
(till
we
asked
for
it),
available
fridge
not
working,
it
was
not
worth
the
money
at
all.
We
only
had
light
for
three
hours
out
of
24
hours.
The
restaurant
is
nothing
to
write
home
about.
If
you're
lucky,
you'll
get
maybe
rice
and
another
swallow,
that's
all
they
have.
The
soup
is
tasteless
and
infact,
way
too
expensive.
The
Safari
ride
too
was
messed
up.
All
through
the
1
hour
ride,
we
did
not
see
any
animal,
not
to
talk
of
the
tsetse
fly
bites
we
experienced.
Don't
even
waste
your
money
on
it.
You'll
see
more
animals
in
your
lodge
than
you'll
see
in
the
wildlife.
The
only
thing
I
could
say
I
enjoyed
was
the
Wikki
Warm
Spring...
Very
nice
place
to
relax
with
friends.
The
water
was
clear
and
warm.
The
staff
can
light
up
fire
to
keep
you
warm
after
getting
out
of
the
water.
Another
thing
that
got
me
fascinated
was
the
different
savannah
we
have
in
one
place:
The
Sudan
Savannah,
The
Woodland
Savannah
and
the
Guinea
Savannah.
For
a
town
dweller
who
wants
to
get
close
to
nature,
Yankari
Game
Reserve
is
a
good
place.
But
don't
expect
topnotch
services.
If
you're
going
to
visit,
make
sure
you
have
everything
you
need
with
you
because
you
will
not
be
able
to
get
anything
there.
While
the
staff
are
very
friendly
and
welcoming,
the
management
of
the
place
needs
a
total
overhaul.
The
pricing
is
too
high
for
such
lacklustre
services.
