I am obsessed! Their wines are so tasty and so reasonably priced! Their cellar door is beautiful and all of their staff are so friendly and knowledgeable! These guys deserve cellar of the year!

This place was amazing!! 😍😍😍 First of all... outside was a house that was imported from Germany and had peacocks roaming around it. Secondly in an unassuming shed was this hidden bar in a cellar! 🤯🤯🤯 The wine was so good and the person that served me and my friend was very lovely. Currently they are renovating the German house into a wine bar and the hidden bar is invite only. 😉 Would recommend buying the Estate Grenache/Mataro. ❤️

2 nd time now I have dropped into Tscharke’s for some wine and whole you can’t have a little try atm the super friendly welcome and taking the time to show us around and share the love and knowledge they have for their product. It has to be some of the best wine in the region and priced extremely reasonable.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! Are we ever glad we pulled into this cellar door..unassuming from the road, however do yourself a favour and check out their renovated wine venue called The Protagonist. It’s beyond gorgeous!! Not to mention they have phenomenal award-winning organic wines, resident peacocks roaming the grounds and beautiful views. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable, and will give you a personalized, one of a kind experience!!! The underground barrel cellar is the coolest place ever. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Highly recommend!!!

One of our favourite wineries so far! Amazing quality wines for a very reasonable price! Conny gave us an amazing tasting, she's absolutely lovely. We'll definitely be back!

I was really torn about putting up this review, only because I feel Tscharke is such an exceptional winery it needs to be kept a secret and protected from the great unwashed 🤣 We arrived at 10.30 and were told that the cellar was full with a tasting and we should return in an hour as it is worth it. We did and it was! One of the most magical scenes to have a wine tasting of some of the most amazing wine I have ever had. Tscharke is run by passionate people making truly exceptional things, from Mark running the tasting, divulging secrets and stories of the Barossa while taking you on a magical journey of taste and expression, all the way to Damien the wine maker and farmer. What an amazing operation dealing in experiences and truly great wine!

Tscharke is our absolute favourite place to visit in the Barossa. We always feel warmly welcomed by Damien and his team. True value for money wine where every bottle has a story to tell and is of the highest quality.

Great team, great wines. I love the glassware and how they have done the cellar. Definitely visit this cool winery if you’re in Barossa.

Our visit to Tscharke Cellar Door in the Barossa Valley was an absolute highlight of our wine-tasting journey. The staff here are nothing short of amazing – passionate, knowledgeable, and completely dedicated to their brand. Their recommendations were spot-on and made our experience truly exceptional. Having explored 15 to 20 wineries between McLaren Vale and the Barossa Valley, we can confidently say that Tscharke stood out without a doubt. The wines were exquisite, and the ambiance was delightful. It's evident that they take immense pride in what they do. If you're looking for a wine-tasting experience that combines expertise with warmth and a touch of fun, Tscharke Cellar Door is the place to be. Our heartfelt thanks to the incredible team for making our visit unforgettable. Thanks for the special day, Adam and Deb

Absolute GEM in the barossa! Stunning inside and out! Doesn’t get any better than sitting outside in the garden drinking their incredible wines while peacocks walk past! And ask for connie, she makes for such a fun tasting! Thanks guys! Will be back for sure!

My husband and I really enjoyed our wine tasting experience at Tscharke. Their wine was the best among all the cellars that we went to that day. Our wine taster was very knowledgeable and we also enjoyed the insights that we learned from chatting with one of owner + wine maker. Beautiful cellar setting to sit back and sip your favourite Tscharke.

A must visit in barossa, award winning wine, best tasting glasses I've ever seen in a cellar door, what more do you want !?

If you're visiting the Barossa, Tscharke is a must-visit winery. - The venue is beautiful, with an accompanying peacock - Russ (who hosted our tasting) was incredibly friendly, spoke with a lot of passion and shared his knowledge - The wine is top-notch, delicious and organic. We were surprised at how affordable they were, as the quality of the wine is top-tier.

One of the best wine tasting experiences! The tasting is actually free but they let you try multiple. The wines are so splendid anyway that we purchased a few! The grounds were delightful, and all the finer details, like changing each glass to suit the particular wine were was a nice touch and allowed for a better tasting experience.

What a beautiful place. We went to the new protagonist cellar door. Fabulous renovation. I love that you can either do a formal tasting or just opt to buy a bottle and sit in the garden. We opted for the tasting, not only were the wines super delicious but they were all served in beautiful glasses to match the wine, and the most comfortable chairs (they have thought of everything). I think this will be a regular visit when we are in the Barossa.

Beautiful environment, delicious and complex wine at a really affordable price due to their lack of distributor price additions. No tasting/visiting fee (as it should be) and amazing staff. I love their environmental, organic and sustainable practises too. Enjoyed the pottery too and brought some back home, as well as plenty of wine. I’ll hopefully be back again soon.

A fantastic example of a boutique winery done extremely well. Awesome wines at unbelievable prices. We bought 8 bottles. Great cellar door set up with a cool room downstairs for private tastings. Check out the photo. This is one winery that has to be visited when in the Barossa

Highly recommend this winery. Special shout out to Liam!! We came in close to closing time expecting to be turned away and we were greeted by huge smiling faces and the most relaxed, welcoming and fun atmosphere. Liam helped us with a wine tasting and it was everything we love in a winery! Easy going, warm and most of all - full of knowledge and history! The experience at a winery is strongly credited to the employees you come across so thanks Liam you are the best! We will be back.
