Fun local favorite on a rooftop with some views. Fantastic customer service. We LOVED Anderson. We recommended the francesinha to our friend and he loved it. We enjoyed drinks, sandwiches, salads, and the fun atmosphere. Beautiful advised, the music is quite loud, so conversation can be more challenging. The #14 was exceptionally good with amazing pork. The salad was quite fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend. 5 stars for a casual eatery ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wandering through the enchanting streets of Porto, my serendipitous journey led me to Casa Guedes Rooftop, a culinary haven hidden amongst the city's alleys. Ascending to the rooftop, I was greeted by a captivating blend of local charm and international allure. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the rooftop transformed into a magical space. Soft lights adorned the terrace, casting a warm glow on the wooden tables. The ambiance exuded romance, a perfect setting for an intimate evening. Nestled beneath a canopy of stars, the city lights twinkled in harmony with the lively conversations. Casa Guedes Rooftop presented a menu that bridged local flavors with international flair. Each dish was a symphony of tastes, meticulously crafted to delight the palate. The culinary journey was complemented by an extensive drink selection, featuring local wines and exotic cocktails that elevated the dining experience. The attentive staff at Casa Guedes Rooftop added a personal touch, guiding us through the menu and ensuring every moment was a celebration. Amidst the enticing aromas and the city's gentle hum, this restaurant became a transcendent experience, seamlessly blending local authenticity with global sophistication. Casa Guedes Rooftop is not just a dining destination; it's a romantic sojourn through Porto's culinary landscape.

Got there and the wait looks loooong but we got our table within a respectable 20-25min. Came here just to have a taste of franceshina. We went with the traditional version and shared amongst 4 pax. It was good, not as heavy as we thought. Also had the sandwiches. No14 in particular. Nicely done, again not heavy. Best of all, our server Adson was delightful with a smile and great service. Obrigada!

This was the first place we tried when we got to Porto. Taken up to the top floor, it gave us a great view of Porto below. The atmosphere was really good with a great buzz. Food options were plenty and really affordable too. We opted for the loaded chips and the chorizo. For started had the empanadas with fish and chicken. Both were really good.

Having booked my Portuguese vacation months ahead, I came across this place as a local favorite. Turns out it’s a better choice than many traditional Portuguese restaurants which typically have limited menus of five to eight “mains”, some salads or starters and dessert. Cafe Guedes has all the main entrees you’d want or need if you like Portuguese food but the sandwiches, franchenshinas and starters are the main reason to come. With about 15 choices of roasted pork and cured ham sandwiches with all kinds of awesome toppings like soft sheep cheese and caramelized onions, it’s the real Portuguese experience. We even broke out cardinal traveling rule and came back twice. The second time we had the shrimp tower. Featuring 10 large jumbo shrimp marinated in garlic and olive oil, it’s three times higher than most shrimp dishes in more traditional restaurants. We also tried a local Portuguese soup that was supposed to have pork liver and other innards but actually tasted like refried beans. (Delicious by the way) Additionally, the staff is very welcoming despite the cafe style seating and you can sit outside, across the street in the park square or on the rooftop. Promptly seated both times, food was fast and delicious and wait staff is helpful and friendly. Personally, it was my favorite place in all four days. Skip the fancier restaurants and eat here.

In LOVE with Guedes’ cooking. Must try Guedes Francesinha (a spicier version of traditional Portuguese sandwich), Pernil com Queijo de Ovelha (Roasted Pork and Soft Sheep Cheese) and Paio de Porco Preto Alentejano (Cured Black pork) Casa Guedes Rooftop is a full service restaurant. We love this place so much we went back to Casa Guedes Tradicional. Limited seating and Togo. My husband ordered the best sandwich EVER, “Roasted Pork, Cured Black pork and Soft Sheep Cheese” I think #9 and add Soft Sheep Cheese

The rooftop was a lively, pretty place for a quick bite to eat and a nice cocktail with great, friendly service and music. We actually came here twice during our stay in Porto. I got the most delicious sandwich - the Chef Guedes (Pernil, Queijo Brie, Cebola Reduzida em Vinho do Porto e Rúcula - aka Roasted Pork, Brie Cheese, Caramelized Onion in Port Wine and Arugula). It was incredible. My boyfriend enjoyed a similar sandwich with steak. Also the caldo verde was likely the best version I had during my trip to Portugal (and l've tried a lot!) This place was great atmosphere, food and value for the euro. I hope to come back someday!

We went to this place for the “Francesina” we tried the traditional and the in-house special version. They were very good in taste, good portion and great atmosphere on the rooftop. Definitely give it a try for your lunch.
