Walked in around lunch time and fortunately got a table. Was seated by a friendly staff member who promptly provided me with a menu. I ordered a chilli pickled fish slider that comes with wedges. I also grabbed a virgin mojito. Whilst I was waiting, I had time to process the ambience of the restaurant. An outdoor environment that worked perfectly on the day I visited since it was a warm day with a light breeze. The decor is lovely and uplifting that also has a fresh feel to it. After a short wait, the food arrived. The burger arrived and the wedges were served with some sour cream. Tasting the wedges, this was really tasty. Perfectly cooked. Slightly crispy edges and a soft middle. The burger tasted really nice too. The fish was a lovely taste - it wasn’t heavily pickled, so was quite a light taste that I really enjoyed. The bottom of the burger bun was slightly soggy as the sauce from the pickle sauce set in a little too much. That was a shame, but still a good taste. It wasn’t chilli, or did not taste chilli rather, despite the description. The virgin mojito was refreshing and tasty, if a little too sweet for me. I was later informed that the fish used was dorado. Overall, this was a really enjoyable meal with friendly, polite and attentive staff. Would recommend for others to visit and I would certainly like to visit in the future to try out other items on the menu.

Hidden jem. Very good drinks and food. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the shrimp's and the wings. Best ice coffee. A must go to place when in Port Louis 😃

Wonderful experience as always. Staff is super welcoming and warm. The food is so good. I definitely recommend the wapalapam mojito made with curry leaves. Very exotic. Beef tataki is so good, was my first time trying it, and i was pleasantly surprised. The chicken wings were sweet and tangy. Shrimps is always my go-to for wapalapam. They are super fresh and sweet.

We had lunch at Wapalapam one day and had amazing tuna sashimi (never had tuna so soft), ceviche and octopus salad. The food was so good that we decided to go back the next day for dinner to have the weekend special, the seafood platter. It was amazing! The place itself is very nice located and has very kind and friendly servers, one of them was Josie! I would really recommend going here.

Love the catchy cool atmosphere the place is well ventilated.... Food rating is 7/10 still very unique and good tho. Service was 8/10 Already the talk of the town with their happy hours and signature drinks. It's the place to be after a day at work or Friday night... Do try their special mohito with curry leaves. Unto all their desserts are home made with passion and until now the best I've eaten so far. ⭐⭐⭐ so far better than zakadi trust me.

Highly recommend. I was honestly so happy with everything I had here. The chili prawn starter is incredible, I also had the chicken mappas and the baked yogurt dessert. Wow! The staff are friendly, especially the manager Suzanna who makes sure to check on with each table and have a little chat. A very cool find in the heart of Port Louis.

Amazing lobster! Fresh, delicate flavour, well seasoned - it was excellent. Compliments to the chef! Atmosphere was very relaxed and cool. Waitress was warm and friendly. The passion fruit mojito cocktail need improving though. Was sour and also did not taste any rum in it.

After a long sweaty visit to the bazaar, this is the perfect place to stop and relax. Hidden between modern buildings this colonial courtyard welcomes you in a tropical garden, peaceful and repaired from the tropical sun. The service is excellent and the food amazing. As usual with tropical bars avoid alcoholic drinks and go for the fruit jiluoces, the pineapple is delicious in november

Simplicity, flavour, serine. These are the words I would use to describe the experience of Wapalapam second restaurant in Port Louis. You might even be forgiven for forgetting your in the capital. Nestled in a lusciously green ‘place’, it will easily be a favourite eatery & cocktails venue. Don’t forget happy hour as well! I was happily surprised to get two cocktails for the price of one. Nearly crawled out of la place in glee!

One of the best places to eat near Port Louis, friendly staff and atmosphere! Great food that makes your taste buds feel like heaven, and I’ve never had such good food at such a low price! I wish that I could rate this restaurant 6 stars, because the cocktails were amazing! P.S. try the Mojitos, they’re so good!

The food was good especially the black pepper beef. I thought the whole fish was bland and a bit undercooked. The fried jackfruit was also not super well seasoned. The tamarind ice tea is amazing and super refreshing. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere especially at night!

We dined at Wapalapam for dinner and we really enjoyed everything: food, service, atmosphere. Our waitress was absolutely great, Wendy, she was so genuine, she recommended a coconut soup for us which we loved and was patient while taking our order (it took long for us to decide). She really showcased a great customer service and we left so happy! We will not hesitate to recommend your place to everyone. Thanks Wendy! Virgin pinacolada was nice too! A tip to the owner: Consider to keep the restaurant during the day without closing. We were a big group of people walking in Port Louis and looking to eat at 4 pm. Unfortunately your place was closed and our friends could not wait as they were very hungry, so they went to eat elsewhere. We were less hungry so we waited till 5.30 pm to get food from your restaurant.

Nice setup to hang out, you don't feel like you are in Port-Louis. Staff could be a bit friendlier. Food was quite good in general, but a bit pricy in my opinion, so are the drinks. Tried the dorade as main, well seasoned but it was borderline a line bit chewy, and salad was quite basic, i expected something a little bit elaborate when paying that price. Also tried the crispy calamari, octopus salad, seared tuna, ceasar salad, sashimi. Overall good quality and nice setup, will be back on another occasion to try something else

The food is good! I’m a frequent eater at this place. In all 3 of them, Port Louis customer service is the worst. That one waiter in Port Louis, will ruin your day by the way she talks. Doesn’t even make an effort to give you proper service. She will ruin your week end. Just don’t go there!

Delicious food and always great service in the both restaurants we visited from them. For vegans definitely a good place to eat in and the one in port Louis has even more choices for vegans than in le Morne. The drinks are very good too :) definitely recommended!

The good : - Ambience is nice! - Waiting staff very friendly - Papaya salad delicious The not so good : - Prawn curry was just “flat”. It was supposed to have coconut and tamarind but you couldn’t really taste it. The curry tasted like tomato sauce with too much black pepper. Very very boring and unforgettable. - Only 4 prawns in the curry - Whilst staff were friendly they didn’t check on us during the meal to ask how the food was

Nested in the heart of Port-Louis, it's a little breath of fresh air. Nice food, had a Philly's burger.. loved the home made mayonaise with it's small twist of wazabi.

Wonderful dinner with friends and their parents. Impressive techniques for the cooking of the tuna presented in raw, half-cooked and well-done textures. Worthy of best review note or Michelin star. Staff was very friendly, thank you Varuna for your assistance. Dessert was slightly under par with the lemon yoghurt cake having a granulated texture. But a very enjoyable meal from start to finish overall.

Nice and cozy place in the heart of Port Louis very quiet and peaceful. There's something special that made the experience there enjoyable. Food is ok I've tried the ramen soup and service was quick. I highly recommend. In summer better go there in the afternoon as it can be quite hot during the day. Price range is more or less ok.

Had a great meal at Wapalapam (one of our favourites during our stay in Mauritius). We received excellent service from the staff who were very attentive to our needs and able to offer us good recommendations from the menu (the lamb was out of this world) . As a bonus came at happy hour and we're able to enjoy a few Ti Punch cocktails!

Finger licking good food! Chilli prawns were absolutely yum. The calamari perfectly done. The spiced pineapple mojito went very well with the food :) the only disappointment was the mapas curry. Would definitely go again!

Good patio garden coffee n restaurant outlet. There are Nice ice tea flavours from the local terroir ie tamarind and lemon grass. It's shielded from the hustle bustle of inner City life and hence an ideal place to cool down and concentrate on food. Certainly a touristic place to pause n recharge.

Food is excellent. Try the jackfruit dishes. Excellent décor. Non alcoholic. How have to park at Medine mews or the granary parking as nothing is available during lunch time. You have to be patient for the food. My friends were happy but am a good eater and found the portions a bit small. A side dish made it complete. Since it has an open air set up, smokers would find a good corner for a nicotine puff

We stumbled on this charming oasis after wandering around the market. We were really impressed with the calm quiet in the centre of the hustle of the city. The staff were very hospitable and chatted about their range of gluten and dairy free foods. We just had coffee, which was great, and some dairy free ice cream, also brilliant. A great find.

Enjoyed the location and the quiet on a Saturday. Food was fresh! We had the pulled jackfruit burger and jackfruit ceasar salad! The jackfruit on the salad isn't something I will order again. Fine for a first try only. And the home made lemongrass ice tea was amazing!!
