14OCT23, at approximately 1215pm, I arrived to Churches on Rivers ave, North Charleston SC. After parking my vehicle, I walked up to the door to find it locked. No worries. Got into the drive in lane to order. I heard the lady (employee) on her mic say, ‘can I take your order”. I said good morning how are you doing. She replied with what’s your order. I went on to ask about the specials. She replied extremely rude and short, “ what about them”. I remained quiet in shock at her attitude. With frustration bordering aggressively she said, “WHAT ABOUT THEM”? I drove off not needing her attitude. Her demeanor is a reflection of management. She is in the Service Industry. Those in this industry are to SERVE projecting curtesy, respect and integrity regardless of their personal, professional or financial concerns. The “guest” should NEVER have to experience an employee’ s negative behavior. After all, the guest are who make sure employees receive a pay check and maintain employment. So disappointing this experience. No employee is entitled lash out their issues with hard working paying guest!

It has to be some law against taking all orders thru drive thru. I understand staffing but if inside can’t open then the sign should say drive thru only. This is not safe.

It’s really a mixed bag on the type of service and quality of food you will receive. I never use the drive thru on any fast food location. More likely to not have any issue if you get out and walk in to order and receive your food. It’s much harder IMO for someone to give you old fries or wrong pieces of chicken when they have to look right at you in person. The drive thru these things are much easier to get away with and that goes for any type of food in the entire industry. For the most part the people are friendly and have been known to help the homeless and needy from time to time.

The chicken was delicious. The lady was very busy. The front lobby was closed because she had no help.

The food was good. My problem came after using my card here, money was being taken out of my account. People be careful of this business.

This was the second location I visited in the same night right around 8:00 p.m. the first location said they were out of bombers. This location dictated to me what I could order. Said that they only had thighs and legs. The only sides they had were mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I asked if they had bombers and two jalapenos. The lady repeated "we have mashed potatoes and coleslaw." While I was waiting for my order the cashier was hollering and yelling and talking to her best friend on the other side of the counter even though the doors to indoor dining were locked. Sounds like they have already cleaned the kitchen, shutdown and they're just selling whatever is left over. The North Charleston locations suck.

The first time I had their chicken no problem. Lastnight I thought I smell sour chicken. I’m pregnant my sense of smell is so strong but I still was thinking maybe I’m bugging. I took a bite and soon as I started chewing I threw up , the chicken was deff sour the smell got stronger as I was chewing. I took a piece of my kids chicken bc they ate about two pieces. My sons was fine, my daughter smelled the same way. I picked up the others in the box & it’s seems to me they had mix good chicken w/ bad chicken. I won’t be eating out anymore at fast food restaurants. Terrible experience.

Picking Up an Uber order . It says come to the counter. People was in there along with the employees but the door was locked. I went thru the drive though and the women said I would have to wait for the customers order for 20mins. I’m wondering like why not drop her chicken when she placed the order ? Instead of waiting until I came to the window for her pick up ? Also while I waited they unlocked the door for someone else to order so I’m guessing they were letting people they knew come in and order food or “Regulars “. Meanwhile they had a poor man stand up to order through the drive thru window.

The lobby is never open. The food is always good but the staff is not it. They’re very rude when you ask a simple question.

I'm a traveler so fast food is often my go to and while I really enjoy CHURCH's Chicken this location, the other Rivers Avenue location and the Dorchester Road location are the WORST. The staff are the most unprofessional awful people who deliberately cheat their customers. I been to all three locations and the staff are often disheveled and not in uniform and my order is always missing something or short a piece of chicken. I will not return and I suggest you avoid these places as well.

Went to two different local locations, first one didn't have chicken tenders or sandwiches so we tried the second one which didn't have the spicy offers and only had water to drink so we left there also. How can you not have what you are famous for AND only have water to drink...??

If it's noted that the restaurant closes at 10, is it standard procedure to stop taking orders at 9pm and tell the customers that you're closed? 9/19/23

Advertised hours are wrongs The Dorchester location only offered chicken and no sides whatsoever. Years ago when I lived in Charleston, Church’s Chicken was the best. Now it’s just like any other chain that no longer cares about service.

Ordered the 12 price dark spicy with two large sides and 6 biscuits. When I arrived they informed me they had no spicy chicken that I'll just have to get regular. When at the window I asked for the spicy packets but all I got was hot sauce. Picked up my food and brought it back to the shop where I work and open it up to see I didn't get the biscuits. Very poor customer service. Should have been informed of no spicy meat so I could make a decision before driving 5 miles to pick it up.

Love churches chicken, this store I visited today during operating hours ignored me completely. Started at the drive thru, no response. Went to the front door (locked) and saw the employee cooking and she did her best to ignore me, I knocked and stood there. All I wanted to know was when and if they’d open today. Finally she glared at me and signaled that she was not open by creating an X with her hands and went back to ignoring me.

Placed order online. It says online that dine-in is open. Driver messaged to tell me the drive thru is backed up and inside is closed. Attempted to call the store to verify if dine-in was open. Nobody answered the phone. I tried calling again. Still no answer. Tried calling from my work phone since my personal is an out of state area code. They finally answered, said "hello?!" And hung up... My delivery driver has been in the drive thru line for 20 minutes... Never ordering food here again.

I came to pick up a delivery. I got out of car to enter into obey to pick up, but door was locked, even though the sign said the lobby was open. Got back in car and had to go through drive thru, which is not a problem, just wish I had known beforehand. Server was very sweet and kind

Food and prices are great, but the staff working there are very unprofessional. They were talking and laughing so hard that they couldn't hear me talking and kept asking me what I said. At the end they gave me the wrong order but I was tired of waiting and just took whatever they gave me.

Poorest service EVERRRRR. We sat in the drive thru 10 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Finally I called the restaurant, I asked the girl we're they opened she said yes, I told her we had been waiting, she said just come to the window to place our order so we did, while she presented herself with an attitude as if we were bothering her! The windows were super DIRTY just like her attitude. I'll Never eat at this location again.

This Church's Chicken location was terrible. Customer service sucked. The ladies were very rude. I spoke with a bad attitude. February 12 at 3:45 a.m.. whoever she is that was working needs counseling. From her manager. My luck she probably was the manager ugh

Sat in the Drive-Thru for about 15 minutes and I was the third customer they had and I finally had to leave. When I went around the first customer was still at the window. If you're not going to be able to take care of people just close this place down

I wanted a chicken sandwich. And it was still pink inside! The other tenders were also undercooked but not raw. This is completely unacceptable especially since I waited 35 minutes in-line (drive through). I will highly suggest going elsewhere as this could give you salmonella!
