We stayed at Lokanda Devetak for three nights and we had the best experience. Rooms are super clean, newly remade bathrooms, air conditioning, and very quiet at night (well insulated too). We had dinner at the restaurant on two separate nights and it was AMAZING! Really some of the greatest food I’ve had. So special and carefully researched, the different tastes and textures go so well together. The Lokanda is run by a family and they’re all such lovely people. The dad & daughters are so helpful and kind, and really caring. They care about the costumer and all the details, and make it such a pleasant stay. Breakfast every morning was great too, organic local products and homemade cakes, as well as the most delicious herb frittata they would prepare for you in the moment. I definitely hope to come back, it was sad to leave! Would highly recommend as both a restaurant and a hotel.

Great food, though service could be a little more attentive. The location is great though, casual but truly authentic, and the cuisine very particular, a mix of Italian and Slovenian as you would expect this close to the border. Quality is good, and some dishes really worth the detour to get here.

We went for a six course seasonal menu and had a wonderful experience. The owner also showed us their wine cellar which is amazing. Thank you family Devetak for everything

The most perfect “cucina rustica” we have ever experienced. Looks like grandma cooked it. Tastes like you fell backwards in time and took a 2* Michelin Chef with you. Staff deliver the experience with panache. To die for wine cellar, and a host that knows how to pair food and wine; REALLY knows. Funny, wise, proud, and dedicated to the art of dining. Multi lingual, so long as the subject is wine or food. If you can find it, you can thank us later. Buon Appetito! Dober Tek!

Amazing artisanal and genuinely organic place. Their food is all produced there, a complete cycle of growing plants and keeping animals, with nothing wasted. The flavours are incredible, you realise how far modern food industry has removed us from a simple nutritious meal. Highly recommended.

Finding a complete package of lovely accommodation, fabulous food and great service is rare. But this lovely little inn delivers it at every level. The rooms and food are wonderful but it is the hospitality and attention to detail of the Devetak family who run it that makes it special.

Wir waren übers lange Wochenende dort und sehr beeindruckt. Schöne und saubere Zimmer, das Personal bemüht und sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant hat sich dem Slow Food verschrieben, was sehr begrüßenswert ist und sich halt etwas in den Preisen niederschlägt. Für die gebotene regionale Qualität aber ein sehr ordentliches Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Der Hausherr ist ein Weinkenner und bei Spirituosen sehr bewandert und hat immer ein gutes Tropferl bei der Hand. Wir kommen sicher wieder.
