I only been here because of the hike to the castle. Did not really pay attention to it but it's nice, no comment on it but 5 star for it.

Unexpectedly beautiful. Like so much in Italy though. I took the bus from the main train station up the hill to the Tower of Adalberto stop. The scenery from the old city on the hill is amazing. Great traditional restaurants of all types like the little medieval town. The people there are mostly friendly. I got a focaccia pizza and beer at a local traditional bakery. Was amazing. This is also the spot that they filmed some of the final scenes from the film “Call Me By Your Name” which was interesting.

Bergamo High City central point. Must see also the nearby Santa Maria Maggiore Church. It is not huge, but is one of the most beautiful in Europe!

The cita alta Bella , the Venetian walls and the beautiful Bergamo, the parking is far, the close parking is just 2 hours. Use cash to pay you will have lesser problems. And put the ticket in the dashboard. They really reinforce. It is beautiful.

Imposing structure well worth seeing. Part of the wonderful old town of Bergamo.
