    Terrific place to just hang out in comfortable settings. Friendly and helpful staff. The Manager sets the example of great customer service. Shared the Finlandia sandwich, and beetroot salad, $20.45. All made fresh and presented well. Both tasted amazing and very flavourful. You gotta go. Enjoy.

    We had a comfortable lunch here today. It was not crowded, so I was satisfied with the food, coffee, and service. When we left here after the meal, the Asian male employee who greeted us with a smile was very impressive:) I'm thinking of visiting this place again next time.

    The worst service! Bought food and drink, they accidentally put it through as takeaway and then wouldn’t let us sit down. We would have been happy to order more food to get a seat, but they informed us they were full while still wearing people behind us. I remained cheerful and understanding, but the manger didn’t break a smile once, and just barked my name when handing me takeout coffee. Never again. Synch a shame

    While your signs may so no cash it is actually illegal to refuse to take Australian bank notes in payment. It is legal render at any site in Australia. You may want to check that and the attitude of your staff

    Went to lunch with my son and was happy to see the customer service from the young lady named ershal who was waiting tables gave my son some colouring things while I took a while to order. Have never experienced this hospitality anywhere else :)

    02 May 22 (11am) Her name is Mikaela, a young girl who doesn't have a very polite attitude towards customers. It was clearly written that every purchase of regular and large size soup was served with sliced ​​of bread, but she said I had to pay $2. After she realized that it was actually free, she then said I should ask if I wanted the bread. Wherever people work as waiter, they should be the ones who offer or indeed should give it to the customer if that a procedure from the company.

    Very disappointed with today's meal and service. We ordered the best seller sandwich, waited 30 minutes, and the restaurant certainly wasn't busy..When the meal arrived the toast was rock hard, the chicken was missing and the lettuce...The bacon was cold. Then they brought out a bowl of chicken and said they forgot it. We asked for our order to be remade fresh which was all to hard !!!! We asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere...The manager didn't ask what the problem was or apologize....I know it's Sunday but surely you can provide fresh food and at least experienced staff..If your staff are going to eat in your kitchen maybe they should be out of the public eye. We were not the only customers that weren't satisfied..

    My friend and I visited at a busy time. Staff were professional and pleasant. I had a BLT which was very tasty and I’m confident it was one of the best I have had. That is high praise because if I’m unsure what to eat it is my go to choice which means I have had more than a few. 😁

    I was welcomed as soon as I approached the entry by a young lady. She had exceptional customer service skills which is very rare today. She was pleasant and chatty without being over the top. I also noticed not only did she serve customers, she waiting on tables and cleaned up. This again is very rare today. Not only is she an asset to Miss Maud, she would be an asset to any company that employed her. Her name is Louisa. All of the other girls were very pleasant also but Louisa certainly went above and beyond in her duties. By the way, just to clarify. I am not a relation and I don't know this young lady 😉 My lunch was pretty awesome also.

    Visited today intending to dine in. We stood for 10 minutes waiting to place our order, only to be completely ignored by the various members of staff. While the staff appeared to be busy, there was not even an acknowledgement from anyone. When we said we would go elsewhere (within earshot of at least two staff members), there was still no reaction or comment. Certainly won’t be returning.

    Went here for lunch today absolutely shocked with how dirty the glass wear was and the children's pancakes were rubbery and cold not only that but seriously $7 for One pancake One! That's a bit crazy, ordered two egg dishes very sub par left here felling ripped off and still hungry the food was not edible.

    Unfortunately the worst customer service experience due to our interaction with 2 young female staff members and the manager Michelle on Tuesday 28/02 at 2pm. The first young female who took our order lacked general customer service and communication skills; she then failed to confirm: • If we wanted to dine in or take away • Confirm ice coffee and ice mocha drink sizes Instead of asking for confirmation the young female assumed the details, placed our order and took the payment. Upon paying we asked if we could have the slices of cake served on plates so we could sit in the dining area at Miss Mauds, the female replied advising her manager has said this can’t be done as we have already been charged the take away rate. The manager Michelle then proceeded to confirm this and abruptly advised that if we wanted to sit in the dining area we would need to pay the surcharge fee for dining in (this was an additional $2). To diffuse the situation we agreed to pay the surcharge so we could move forward and sit down. Once our cakes were brought to us on a plate, another female brought our drinks out in 2 different sized takeaway cups (we found it odd that they weren’t served in glasses, as the manager Michelle advised you’re not allowed to consume takeaway food/drinks in this area). We questioned the different size cups to which the female abruptly responded advising 1 was a regular and the other was a large which is what we ordered. We responded advising we did not order different sizes as the female who took our order didn’t ask. This female reluctantly took the smaller drink back, rolled her eyes and said she would just upgrade it to the same large size. This whole experience demonstrated that the staff (stemming from the manager Michelle and down) take no accountability for their actions and lack general customer service skills. Extremely disappointing and would not recommend at all!

    Today I visited this lovely but busy store and was served by a young lady I believe her name was Amy (she was in training). Despite being in training her knowledge on the food and what sides come with what meals was outstanding. She double checked our table number for us as my daughter and I were not sure of where we were sitting and overall just provided us great customer service. I will be visiting again and the girl needs complimenting. Thank u

    I’ve been to miss Maud’s many times Since my mum likes the coffee I went two weeks ago for a session with my OT since she wanted me to go out with her and order something on my own and I did I got a milkshake and gingerbread man I love the milkshakes even though I drink them too fast and make myself feel yuck But ordering there was nice The manager there or I assume is the manger she’s there every time I’m there I find her quite intimidating she’s loud. I think a lot of people like myself can take the way she speaks as intimidating But she was very kind to me and I was obviously quite shy so I appreciated her kindness I also like how on the menu there is the kids menu with the chicken nuggets and chips and on it you can ask for a large version I think this is genius since so many people like the kids menu but don’t have a kid sized stomach so I think that’s very rad Good milkshake :)

    Very disappointed with my order at Cockburn store yesterday 24/01/23 when I visited at 12:00 midday. It took 15 minutes to get served and I was the only one waiting for the first 10 minutes. Then I was served by a trainee who was clearly struggling. Another customer came and completed her order whilst she struggled with my order of 1 x lactose free cappuccino in a cup and 1 x Ham Simple sandwich. She was not given any assistance and I was not acknowledged by the other staff member. My coffee arrived in a timely manner, the store was not full nor terribly busy. Coffee was fine. The simple sandwich arrived, plonked onto the table with the announcement of Simple sandwich on whole meal. Firstly I did not order whole meal, then I saw cheese and thought they had given me someone else’s order. I left my table with the plate and stood near the servery window and waited. I was very visible with the plate of food in my hand. I was ignored for at least 5 minutes until the trainee walked past and I handed the plate saying that it was not what I ordered. She looked blankly at me took the plate and went into the kitchen. I returned to my table where shortly after the waitress returned, plonked the plate down advising simple sandwich with ham. It was very clear the same sandwich, now with ham added, was returned. I never ordered cheese or whole meal. What I don’t understand is the menu describes this order as four small peaks on Swedish white bread with a choice of ham or cheese. I received two halves on whole meal with thick cheese and eventually ham. I attempted to advise someone at the time only to find that the manager had her back to a small queue of frustrated customers. I did not have the time to wait for her to at least acknowledge the customers before dealing with my dissatisfaction. There seemed to be ample staff and thr kitchen was not busy. Very disappointing service and meal.

    1. I ordered for milk shake for my mate (a Miss Maude specialty with double icecream and malt!) - it was half milk shake and half largebubble froth, sweet to the core and watery; it made her feel sick. 2. The flatewhite I had was actually "flatwater" with some coffee. This made me also feel sick. 3. A savoury I ordered for was finally not available because of lack of inter-staff communication - it was soldout to other walk-in customers who ordered much later than I. (However, note that I was refunded this amount later.) 4. During my time there I saw an other customer return food to the counter for a refund. 5. Hope you guys can reorganize yourselves. I totally understand you are recovering from the pandemic however, I may not go back to your outlet in a hurry! 6. Lastly, post-encounter, I noticed that a large portion of your feedback is toward either extremes which means that you guys can actually do well if you want to! This is something for the management to look into and arrange training for your employees.

    So I am not really a fan of this place however my partner could not stop ranting about them so I caved and to my worst experience. The positive was the young girl who helped us was so kind and helpful but the manager was very serious like a school teacher with a "no smiles and jokes allowed" attitude. We could feel her strict, unkind and unfriendly vibrations. My nan can make a better toastie sandwich with better toppings on it. If you going to charge someone a price for something make sure that you exceed your own expectations. Pie is pre-prepared so it's just a warm up exercise. The coffee!!!!! I threw up a little in my mouth!!! Yuk!!!! We had one sip of both coffees and dumped it. How come this place is still in existence man. I know I am being very critical but come on Miss Maud, you can do heaps better. It is not rocket science people. My only and last time to them. A defs miss unless you throw away all expectations and standards and just waste time, effort and money. They must start with getting a young person to run the place with a friendlier aura....maybe then it will shift in the right direction hey?

    Went there today 29-4-22 they had their lights off and I thought they must have not paid their bills or something because they were still serving customers so anyway I stood there for 2 mins until some worker came and said "Are you good? What are you waiting for?" So I said "I'm just waiting to be served" she had the audacity to look both ways then at me and said "the lights are off we're closed" I was shocked because they were still serving people.. so I said "well someone could of atleast told me" as I was walking off she proceeded to say "WOW WOW WOW" very loudly as to say that I was in the wrong and i was being rude (which I wasn't) just because your having a bad day doesn't give you the right to make someone else day bad!!

    Terrible food quality. The betroot salad was completely dry and obviously days old. The sandwich was slopped together and had the smallest quantity of food in it which wasn't fresh. We've not been to Miss Maids for years and I honestly wouldn't come back. Not good at all.

    Items unavailable at order were not notified by kitchen. Kitchen slow service and restuarant only half full. 1 meal not correctly prepared. 1 meal served incorrectly cold. Miss Maude you normally impress. This time you missed by a wide margin.

    Came in at a busy time, ordered breakfast and coffee, got attitude from the server. They must have forgotten our meals as we waited over 30 minutes. Asked for a glass of water, has lipstick on the glass. The coffee was nice. Table service was good. Meals came out cold, so we asked to remake them and they said it would take a while even though it wasn't busy. So we asked for a refund. Pretty disappointed.

    Poor service, got told that take away orders are on the other side yet no sign to state that, then a 30mins wait for a kids meal. When I went to ask about how much longer it would be got pushed aside by what I guess is the supervisor told to wait until my order had been called but the girl had already gone to check on it. It had just been sitting there for ages. Her excuse it that I wasn’t there at the time yet i’d been standing right in front of her for that entire time. Chips came out old and hard and actually couldn’t be eaten by my kid or even myself, least they got the nuggets right I guess.

    This place has kinda old fashioned European style. Staff were dressed up. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The food quality was good and meal arrived on time. Coffee taste good. It's a good spot for having coffee with a friend or family; however, not enough space for kids.

    Ordered food for myself and my 2 young kids, was told 20 minute wait, I was okay with that. An hour later we still haven’t got our food. After asking multiple times how much longer. People that came after us had already got their food, eaten and then left. Finally after asking the last time they said they would give me a refund back and 2 free drinks for next time. Not good enough. Especially if I’m coming in with my kids.

    Bought a slice of cake with frosting for someones birthday around 2.45pm 7/06. Obviously cake is too tall for the takeaway little slice cardboard box but girl serving still put it in and force a small paper bag on top, and stuck on tape at the top smushing down on the cream. Use brain please, of course its going to destroy the toppings and look ugly. Now i have to get another, so disappointing.

    We were very disappointed in the food. Normally we go to Carousel and the food is lovely. But today the bagel I had tasted like it was a week old and my husband had clubhouse sandwich with snitzel which was more like cardboard. I was brought a lemon lime and bitters which had the colour of lemonade. Luckily the girl serving us noticed and brought us the bitters. The couple next to us left their meal too. So I think you may want to look into a new chef.

    Overpriced, manager is rude as. Young lady who served us was nice and tried to do a 2 smaller items for the price of the large one as they had ran out. Then she got grilled by her manager for it…. Food was terrible , used to be really nice. Maybe just a bad experience that one time.

    Disappointed with last visit with my four year old grandson. They had sausage rolls marked down to $3.20 I ordered two coffees, a baby chino, cookie and the sausage roll and even said I want the special. The drinks arrived without a spoon the babychino no marshmallow and charged $7.20 for the sausage roll. The grandson wouldn't drink his babychino because it didn't come with the marshmallow when I questioned the high price I was told it's because we sat in to have it. Well I won't ever bother again, there are just too many other good places to spend my pension .

    Had arranged to pick up my log cake at 5.30pm on 24 Dec 2019. Arrived at 5.45pm but the whole place was closed! The Miss Maud Cockburn website had indicated that they would be closing at 6pm on 24 Dec 2019. That was why I decided to place an order for the log cake for my Christmas. Very disappointing! If you wish to close early then indicate so.

    Lovely clean cafe, great range of fresh sandwiches, hot pastries, biscuits, breads and deserts from the take out counter. Cold drinks and hot drinks are great value. Bought a pack of handbaked shortbread biscuits and although they were expensive, my mouth is watering just remembering the flavour and perfection. Have wonderful friendly staff, and would certainly recommend.

    Terrible service, I wanted to sit and have my coffee and pie, I scanned for safe wa, but I was told I can’t sit there because I bought a take away not a sit down meal, no one actually asked me wether I wanted to dine in or take away. I never encountered anything like this before, I should’ve read the reviews first, never again so rude 😠

    Staff friendly, however the coffee here is very weak. Also the curried egg sandwhich has hardly any egg in it. At the low cost of eggs and $5.10 for a sandwich, i feel there could be improvement. Also had the same experience at Garden City with the sandwich.

    Terrible. Been here a couple times now as I work in the centre, never again though. Asked for a toasted sandwich, got wholemeal which I don't eat and wasn't told didn't know until I opened my sandwich at work, and to say it wasn't toasted was an understatement. It was like microwaved bread. And I waited 25 minutes for something I ended up binning anyway.

    My daughter and i went for lunch today. The coffee was not hot and the chicken snitzel burger was all bread and the chicken was small and thin 1 lettuce leaf and 1small piece of tomato and served on toasted bread we left the bread on the plate. For what you pay for the food is horrible. Will not return to the restaurant. There cakes are nice which we have bought seperately.

    Shocking service by staff who don’t care about their customers waited 35mins for a tuna toastie which when arrived was cold - restaurant looks sad and tired dust on the copper ware on top shelves again it reflects the overall care - shame on the Miss Maud team to allow this to happen - noticed in the recent reviews the only one that the Miss Maud staff replied to was the only positive review! says it all- will never return.

    The cake of the day wasn't available so we chose another labelled $4.20, we were charged $7.20 for the privilege of eating it at a table and no special offer. Served with a bad attitude too. No return visit from us.

    I was there today for lunch with a friend. I will not be returning. I ordered the smoked salmon sammige. What a joke. Suppose to have toasted multigrain bread. It had a little circle of bread that the minimal topping sat on. Was suppose to have egg??? With a coffee it cost $21.80 It needs to supply customers what they have paid for.

    Family and I have being dining at the Cockburn Store for years. New Manager is great, very polite, also makes an effort to come over and say hello. Nice coffee and great food. Service generally quick, can slow down when they are busy.

(Original) 1.커피값 10불을 냈는데 직원이 받고, 5불을 꺼내서 30센트 있냐 해서 줬더니 쥐고 있던 5불을 다시 금고에 넣음 (내가 5불주고 10불냈다 착각했겠거니 함) 2.일행이 처음에 오렌지쥬스를 주문했는데 없다함 근데 안에서 먹는데 준비대에 올려져있는 주황색 액체가 든 병이 놓여있음 (뭘까 저건..생긴게 딱 오랜지쥬스인데 망고쥬스나 다른 노란 음료수겠지 함 ) 3.아이스 롱블랙을 시켰는데 아이스라떼커피가 나옴. 아이스 롱블랙 시켰다 말하니 그 메뉴가 없다 함 (그전에 아이스롱블랙 여기서 5번도 넘게 먹어봤음 ㅋ) 이날의 모든 유쾌하지 않은 상황들이 모두 고객의 착각이고 실수인가? 근데 있는 메뉴를 없다.라고 까지 하니까 영 찜찜하네

    Dirty cup supplied with pot of tea. Table alongside was given a cup with lipstick on it. Food is very expensive. Won't be going back.
