A wonderful hostel! I was traveling solo as a female and I had a great experience! It can be a tad challenging to find your first time. Look behind the restaurant umbrellas. It looks like a large locked gate. Look just to the left on the inset and you'll see the doorbell for the hostel. Once inside the reception was friendly and in multiple languages. I stayed in a 6 person dorm and I felt like I had so much privacy. Each bed has an inset cubby, outlet, and little light. You could close off your bunk with a curtain. Bring your own lock and the lockers were a great size! Highly recommend! Beautiful terrace and shared spaces!

Great location, clean, and really nice common spaces. They offer yoga on the terrace which was so nice. The breakfast is good too! I wish the kitchen had more space but that’s the only downside I can think of. They also shipped my sandals back to Canada when I left them there. Such a great place with great staff!

I stayed at this hostel for 3 days two nights in May and I'm so glad that I chose this location. TRULY central. It's located right by the street with all the high-end stores like LV, Balenciaga etc. which means that the aesthetic and the general feel of the neighborhood is one of cleanliness and safety. It's right by the Diagonal metro stop, there are two starbucks on either side, it's right beside a supermarket, it's right by the street that has two famous Gaudi houses and also close to bus stops (public and the Hop on Hop Off buses). GREAT Location. I took the bus 26 up to Park Guell, I'm just really happy with the location of this hostel! haha. That aside, the actual hostel was beautiful, light and bright, clean. The front desk personnel were extremely pleasant and accommodating, spoke english. They also allowed me to leave my bags after checkout on the last day. I found the bathroom and showers to be clean and I believe someone constantly checks on it because it was always clean when I was in there. My bed was clean and comfortable, with a privacy screen. I had to ask for an extra pillow, which they were happy to provide. I do recommend carrying headphones and using them during the nights. I had to listen to white noise to help me sleep because the rooms were either eerily quiet at night or if your roommate has a cough like mine did, it could keep you up. The hostel felt safe, you had to be buzzed in; you have to have a key card to enter your assigned room and you can carry a lock to secure your belongings. I rented a towel from them and it was very big and clean! They also have a free daily walking tour (which I never got around to doing, next time!) The only three minor complaints I had was the WIFI - I could never connect to the main one, it didn't even show up on my phone, and the substitute one that I connected to would not allow me to really browse. (If the wifi worked like it should've maybe my photos would've gotten backed up to the cloud so when my phone got stolen by the Trevi Fountation in Rome, I'd still have those memories!) My other minor feedback would be that the breakfast could be a little nicer for 8 euro.. just basic bread, yogurt and cold cuts.. but it was convenient so I didn't leave hungry. Lastly, the shower itself wasn't small but the door goes into the shower and didn't leave enough room for a bigger person to get in and close the door. I really had to squeeze. If the doors opened outward this would solve this. But overall I could easily stay here again and probably will if I visit Barcelona again. Loved this city!! Hope to visit again.

Amazing place! Everything was perfect, the place is super cute, clean and the staff is well prepared besides being extremely nice and attentive. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is big, so I didn’t have to wait in lines or anything. All the guests were also very nice and I loved staying there!

Very clean and closely located to the Diagonal stretch. Friendly and easy-going staff. The place is like a sanctuary. Calm and peaceful. The balcony area was very spacious and had some chairs and tables. Although I didn’t opt for the breakfast, I managed to have a sneak peek of the menu and the spreads were awesome. Do give this place a shot. Very cost-effective and a lovely place to stay. Also, the staff helped me book tickets for the Camp Nou tour and when I was trying to figure a way out to get my boarding passes printed she offered to help me. Very sweet lady.

This was the best hostel experience of my life. Yes, you are in the hostel but you can always create your own space. The clients are fantastic and the people who are working there are so helpful. The only thing that you should know you cannot stay in that hostel for more than 15 days. Thanks for everything.

The girls at the reception during the day and the guy during the night were all friendly and outgoing. The other good points: the location, 24h reception, the beds have curtains for privacy. Also, the staff is trying to keep the shared bathrooms as clean as possible. However, I faced some issues: _ The dorms are kindda small, the lockers are too small as I could not put inside my 60l and 30l backpacks. _ There were no hangers to hang the clothes inside the dorm. _ The beds were unconfortable and so noisy. _ There are no enough activities organised by the hostel like dinner, club crawl, so the hostels looks extremeley boring and the majority of guests are using headphones and working ( or pretending) on the laptop so hard to engage a conversation. _ Somebody needs to tell the cleaning leady to do the bodyguard in front of the kitchen during breakfast time. _ The breakfast costs 6 euros but it is really basic, it needs to be improved _ When the luggages are left in the luggage room no tags or numbers were given. This needs to be improved for security reasons.

Very centralized in barcelona. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. You walk down the road and keep following it to go into the city center. All the rooms are clean and seem to be cleaned daily. The bed was clean with seemingly fresh sheets and a curtain to get a bit of privacy. The bed also had it's own nightlight and 1 electricty socket built in.

Well, I have a lot to say about hostel and staff and I would like to start my review from that I was lucky enough to stay in a hostel almost a month and I had a chance to meet incredible people during that time. A lot of memories and a lot of nice people I have met there. First of all, I would like to thanks to the staff, they all were so friendly and attentive. Special thanks to the bald guy, unfortunately I do not know his name since he is an office worker at the hostel, but he gave me a nice gift on the last day when I checked out. I really appreciate the act that he did and I want to thank him separately 🙏 Also big thanks to Manager Irakli, receptionist Amrit and cleaning staff ❤️… And now about hostel… - Fantastic atmosphere, very clean, nice terrace, perfect location. Room 14 and 11 are the best, both rooms are very big with large windows and balconies. Definitely it is the best hostel in Barcelona!!! Big hugs 🤗 to all of you and thanks for the family atmosphere.

Very, very nice hostel. Excellent location, very clean and very chill staff. You can even get a room for two, as we did with a friend, then it is very private :)). Had a blast exploring Barcelona while living directly in the centre!

Fantastic hostel with a quiet terrace and big common room. The staff is friendly and available 24-hours a day. The entire place was very clean. I would love to stay here again.

The best place to stay in and chill after a busy day in Barcelona. The staff are amazing, a special thanks to Paola she is very friendly and helpful with the best restaurants recommendations in town. I would definitely come back again :)

The good thing about this hostel is the location! It’s in a safe neighbourhood with metro, supermarket and great tapas bars within walking distance. It isn’t really value for money! Also the room I stayed in had no window so it was always hot and stuffy even with the AC on. The breakfast is disappointing for the amount they are charging. Like €7.5 for basic! Step out and get yourself breakfast from nearby cafes or even the supermarket.

Really a great experience from many points of view. Perfect position just among the Diagonal, the Rambla Catalunya and the Palau Robert with its garden. Very tasteful interior design in all parts and especially in the common spaces. Ergonomic dispositions of the dormitories as well as of the bathrooms. Also respectful cleanness of all places. Always kind and sympathetic staff during the whole day and night. Thank especially to Mercedes and Paola for their pretty welcome and their little Spanish lessons:)

The whole environment is good. Room is clean, the public area is clean and peaceful compared to other hostel that many guests are very noisy. The breakfast costs 7.5 euros per person, it’s worthy to pay this price. The staffs are nice, friendly and helpful.

The rooms are nice and clean but the air conditioning is not too good, we had a bit hot at night. Also, the room was close to the dining room and it was very difficult to sleep properly. The location is nice but it’s 20 min walking from the centre and the bars. Overall it was nice :)

Pretty good. Nice and friendly staff. Easy access. Good location. Beds were private and rooms were clean. Close to a metro station that can take you to most important places. Showers could use a little work, and they kinda open up into a hallway where people can walk by. Breakfast was ok. Pretty terrible wifi. Should be fixed. Had to use my 4G most of the time.

Booked an 8 night stay at this hostel, however I had to leave after the second night due to a bed bug infestation… Hostel staff wasn’t very cooperative, looked for no alternative and I had to find another place to stay on the spot. Hygiënic standards weren’t high, and communication was awful. Got my stay refunded but had to throw away bags and some clothes. In my attempt to settle this with them, they didn’t help at all to partially cover the hundreds of euros in damage. Definitely to avoid, which is a shame since the location is perfect. Very disappointed with this experience…

Such a wonderful hostel! It’s nestled in an ideal location. The staff is incredible: helpful, kind, and sincere. The facilities are clean & nice, and the common areas are beautiful. It’s very peaceful (ie not a party hostel) and provided the perfect stay! Highly recommend!

Great location, super clean, breakfast is basic but good, however, the wifi does not work at all. Had some work to do and had to significantly top up my esim to hotspot my phone. They need to stop advertising that wifi is available OR fix it!

Super nice hostel in the heart of Barcelona. I stayed for 3 nights and it was definitely up to my expectations for a short stay like that. Rooms were very clean, as well as the hostel itself. There were enough facilities and bathrooms, which were kept clean. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but had multiple different options for everyone. There were food machines in the hostel and other amenities which people would need. Bed was very comfy and the duvet was thich enough even if it gets cold in the night. Common areas were big and equipped with board games, guitar and newspapers and other things. Can't complain about anything, except the noisy guests in my room. However, it's not the fault of the hostel that some people are disrespectful regarding the noise.

  • 1/5 Stephen S. 1 year ago on Google
Horrible! Rude people screaming and yelling in the rooms. People turn on the lights at 12:00am and leave the room with the light on! I never seen such a bunch of rude people staying in a shared space act so disrespectful. Don't stay here if you actually want to sleep. Forget about it. Far too many rude people for that to happen. Other hostels have a lights out policy. This one let's people do whatever they want.

A clean hostel. The employees are friendly and helpful. The cafe and its terrace are modern and beautiful. There are sufficient number of showers and toilets. The kitchen has everything to prepare meals. You can make great friends. One evening there was a sungria night and they offered free drinks. There is a free products corner in the kitchen and bathroom. the bad one: there are no locks in the cabinets, locks are sold at the reception for 6 €. I think there should be free locks on the cabinets.

Great location, good size rooms and bathrooms. The staff was very nice and helpful with everything I needed, even with recommendations for meals and bars. I felt very safe as a solo female (20 year old) traveler, the lockers were large (bring your own lock!!!), and the other patrons were respectful. The downsides: the wifi barely worked. They give you 2 wifis depending on which room you are in but neither worked for me. If you are planning on traveling while remote working or (like me) have a phone that only works on wifi, take this into consideration. The other downside was that it was very hot in the rooms/bathrooms during the night which made it hard to sleep and put my makeup on.

Wow. My 2 week stay at this hostel was unforgettable as Rodamon-Barcelona exceeded all my expectations regarding quality of staff, location, and amenities offered making this an invaluable hostel experience. Firstly, the staff at reception were amazingly attentive to client needs and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to suggesting the perfect places to visit based on their interests. It is also notable that with the reception being open 24HR / day you will always have Carina, Elektra, Mercedes, Diego, or Fernando available to help with anything that comes to mind. As for cleanliness, the hostel was very well maintained thanks to Idania, Gladys, and Rosangela who do a superb job at ensuring the rooms are routinely supplied with fresh sheets, towels, and that the common areas/bathrooms are spotless on a daily basis. Secondly, the location is central along the Avenue diagonal which connects you to everything from retail stores, restaurants, public transportation, and various opportunities for site seeing. I found that I preferred just walking everywhere since it’s centrally located but if you prefer to catch the metro, there is a subway station and bus stops just a few hundred meters away. Lastly, the amenities offered were perfect for those who might be working remotely because you have so many different seating arrangements for working/relaxing including the vending machine area, the common space where breakfast is served, and even the open air terrace which was my favorite place to work through the day. With all these points considered I think this hostel rivals some of the high tier hotels which I’ve stayed at before and would definitely stay here again when I come back to Barcelona In the future. Overall, I am pretty confident that without the help of the high quality staff that Rodamon has employed to manage the property my experience in Barcelona surely would not have been as memorable. I will definitely be recommending Rodamon to any of my friends and family traveling to Barcelona in the future! Also side note: Don’t be afraid to say hi to any of travelers, from my experience all the conversations ended with us both learning something new and I even made some good friends from some of them too!

Very clean and spacious! Love that they have a restaurant downstairs and rooftop bar. They have activities you can sign up for in the lobby, that’s how I met a great group of people!

Super expensive hostel , not at all good value for money .. You don't really have privacy in the toilets , as you can hear what other people do there and they can hear you .. Plus , there is no place to put your clothes in the showers..and it'a quite crowded with zero privacy when you want to undress..the breakfast is not a healthy one..no veggies ,mostly pastries and maybe few fruits.. Mattresses on beds are not compfy and my curtains were dusty.. The staff is nice but someone was a bit TOO nice...

I have been to more than 50 hostels, and safe to say, this one has grown the closest to my heart. I booked an other hostel, but right before boarding the plane I realized by accident that it was closed. Without Rodamon hostel I would have been in the middle of the night in Barcelona wondering where to sleep. Thanks to the great staff there, before boarding the plane I could book a room, despite of being the most annoying guest, calling multiple times, they welcomed me with a smile. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, never seems to be tired, and always around. The hostel itself is modern, clean and aesthetically pleasing. With many plants and a terrace worth 10/5 stars nonetheless. The covid measures are kept at all times, but not aggressively, and everything is always clean. I met great great people in the hostel and i could not recommend enough. Hope to go back soon :)

Had a great time at this hostel! The staff was friendly, the rooms, beds, bathrooms, and common spaces were all clean and as expected. I did not try the breakfast but it looked like a good assortment for the 5,50 price. Towels were provided which was nice! I loved that the beds had curtains for privacy and they all came with a locker which was great for storing our bags while we were out. The nearby neighbor was clean and safe, and the building itself was easy to find from the tram (about a five minute walk) and very secure. The staff was friendly and so helpful! I definitely recommend this place

Never stayed at a hostel in my life. Since I was travelling with my childhood school friend, we decided to stay here. Safe to say our stay here was fantastic! Clean, enough privacy, spacious overall hostel, beds not spacious but, still pretty good. Had a brilliant time with my friend in Barcelona! Strip club 25mins from the hostel. Fun times.

This hostel gets the perfect score from me. It overexceeded all my expectations of a hostel. It was clean and relaxing. The bed was so clean &comfortable i slept like a baby i almost didn't want to get up. There's an air conditioner as well. The personnel were friendly and helpful. The design of the hostel is like a from a 4star. Location was perfect since its nearby the metro, in which you can reach sagrada familia within few stations. The terrace has very comfortable sunny lounges. I stayed in at a 8-female room and we had our own toilet which has 2 basins. The toilettes were very clean. I also was able to get coffee from the breakfast buffet free of charge (thank you!) since I don't eat breakfast, although the choices were delicious. so if you're looking for a bed to sleep in, here you get it and much more! Thank you for the wonderful stay. ❤️

The rooms are really good. The showers are clean but not in great shape. Also the terrace need some refurbishing. The staff was great, but I didn't like the fact that they rented the towels.

  • 5/5 Nathan C. 1 year ago on Google
This hostel is pretty quiet so it's good if you are studying. They close common areas by 10 so you'll need to step out if you want to keep chatting. The multi stall bathrooms are tight but it allows multiple people to use it at the same time.

This was one of the best hostels I’d stayed in, will def repeat when I visit Barcelona again. Super friendly staff, clean and nice facilities, cool terrace with comfy furniture, good shared spaces where you can also work comfortably, and impecable location👌🏻
