Clean, modern hostel with a cozy ambience and stunning decor close to the Barcelona Sants station, bus stop and Metro station. It is central enough to all the important attractions. It has all the essential facilities you need for a restful stay including privacy curtains and beside storage. It’s also quiet even though it is located on a noisy street. There are bakeries and supermarkets nearby for quick meals. The attendant at the reception was very helpful and delivered excellent customer service. Only problem is the room is a bit cramped and not spacious enough for movement so I don’t recommend staying more than two nights.

This hostel suited my needs and provided a clean roof over my head whilst travelling - which is the most important thing. The location is also pretty good, with numerous bus stops and metro stations close by. However, there were no external social events put on by the hostel. When travelling alone, it can be hard to meet people. There was a pasta night when I was there, but people mainly kept to themselves. The space for socialising is very compact. The dorm and bathroom however was very clean. I do feel that this hostel is overpriced for what it is, compared to others which have more of a social incentive and more space to be sociable. If you are happiest alone, I would recommend this place without hesitation, but it wasn't for me. I probably won't return.

Awesome hostel with a great vibe, community spirit and great amenities. A little father away from the centre, but it's a 10 min walk to the metro ;). Make sure to bring a lock if you want to fully secure your belongings- otherwise you can buy one at the reception for 5€.

This hostel is amazing. The beds have curtains and they are so useful. Even if you have 5 other people with you in the room you have full privacy. The staff is very very friendly and nice. Also the people here are awesome. Im solo traveling and the hostel made me feel like home thanks for everyone for the amazing. ❤️❤️❤️ Shoutout to Sam for the good taste of music🎶

I had a great stay. Hotel is pretty near to the Downtown and you'll have all the commodities around. The staff is nice. But one thing bothered me. My bathroom was like a closet. I would've understand if that was the one showed in the pictures presentation but it ain't and the reason it's obvious. This type of bathroom is only for the room 5 and it's pretty unfair. Looks like for the mixed room everyone is paying the same price so I might expect the same overall quality. This bathroom is really inconvenient and unpleasant.

A great place to stay, good staff, nice rooms and a really friendly atmosphere. I would recommend staying here and if I ever go back to Barcelona then I would go to free hostels and both of my kids said that they would want to return there too. The place feels more like a home than it does an accommodation. The place had staff on hand literally 24 hours a day. All the staff spoke English and were always happy to help out. The place is only has a small amount of rooms and so the place never gets crowded plus it's much more easy to get to know people better.

I did not get my money’s worth. I still don’t understand why people are rating this place so high. Lol it’s dirty for all I care. If you’ve got OCD don’t bother going here.

Above all else, the staff here were wonderful! They had great advice for exploring the city, and they put in a lot of effort for the nightly community events. This hostel felt cozy and close-knit, which was exactly what I needed after a few nights right on Plaza Del Sol in Madrid. The privacy curtains were SO GOOD, I wish all hostels set up their beds like that. The only issue I had was that the bathroom situation isn’t really enough for the number of guests. The shower experience was pretty terrible, but that’s not the staff’s fault - I hope management does some work on the water pressure soon. Other than that, I loved the 4 nights I spent here! Already missing morning walks to the Entença station.

I stayed here for one night during Christmas in a single room with a shared bathroom. - I did not like the following: * no mirror in the room *could hear someone snoring (although I had my private room and the windows closed) * no breakfast (I read about in on the Internet) + I liked the following: * friendly and competent staff *very clean * bed comfortable ; private room * supermarket and places to brunch around So to me the advantages were important and I wanted to book one more night in January. I could not because they only except stays for more than one night because of the Spanish holidays (in order to make more money and focus on families- no hostel vibes) But thank you very much for having had the opportunity to stay here for one night 🙏 I appreciate it since it is not common at the Freehostels in Barcelona.

We made a reservation through their website. One week after they canceled our reservation without warning and for no reason. Sent them an e mail and never responded. Called them to ask the reason and they avoided to give us an explanation. Completely unacceptable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Free Hostels Barcelona for four nights, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This hostel not only provided a comfortable and secure environment, but it also exceeded my expectations in terms of privacy and cleanliness. One of the standout features of Free Hostels Barcelona is the innovative bed design. I appreciated the fact that the beds could be closed off, allowing for a private space amidst a shared dormitory. Being able to lock the beds while away provided an extra layer of security, giving me peace of mind during my stay. Additionally, the inclusion of a locked drawer was a thoughtful touch, allowing me to store my belongings safely and conveniently. Cleanliness is of utmost importance to me when staying at a hostel, and Free Hostels Barcelona certainly delivered in this regard. The rooms were immaculate, with tidy beds and well-maintained common areas. The bathrooms were consistently clean, and I never encountered any issues with hygiene throughout my stay. What truly set Free Hostels Barcelona apart, however, was the amiable atmosphere created by both the staff and fellow guests. The individuals I shared my stay with were incredibly polite and respectful, making my time at the hostel all the more enjoyable. The staff members were attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with any queries or concerns I had. As a seasoned traveler, I found the level of privacy provided by Free Hostels Barcelona to be unparalleled. Compared to other hostels I have stayed at in the past, this establishment excelled in ensuring that guests have their own personal space when needed. It truly felt like I had the best of both worlds—a vibrant social environment combined with the comfort and privacy I desired. Affordability is often a deciding factor for travelers, and Free Hostels Barcelona offers reasonable prices without compromising on quality. The value for money was excellent, considering the level of cleanliness, privacy, and the range of amenities provided. The free kitchen area was an added bonus, allowing guests to prepare their own meals, which was particularly beneficial for those on a budget. Moreover, the hostel organized various events and activities on-site, providing additional opportunities for guests to engage with fellow travelers and make lasting memories. In conclusion, Free Hostels Barcelona is a shining example of what a hostel should be. From the privacy-focused bed design and secure storage options to the immaculate cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere, this establishment goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If you're looking for a hostel that prioritizes privacy, cleanliness, and fair pricing while still offering a vibrant social environment, look no further than Free Hostels Barcelona.

Hi guys, Firstly I would like to thank the professional and kind stuff of the hostel. All of them speaking brilliant English and other languages. I would highly recommend to stay here. Advantages: 4-persons room. In mostly hostels in the city hostels are equipped with at least 8 persons rooms, which is bit too much for me. There is a good kitchen for everyone at the hostel, nice and cozy place for chats and near by. In every room there is a conditioner and space for your clothes and stuff. Minus: Shower is a bit old. And no alcohol inside rule :)

I spent five days at Free Hostels Barcelona and had a blast! They were courteous enough to modify the dates at my request and not charge me more when my flight was canceled twice. The staff, setting, lodging, etc., are all outstanding. I've never stayed at a hostel before, and I'm so happy I did. It felt like home and I met so many wonderful individuals. Amazing people work at the front desk, notably Demitris. I heartily endorse this location. 💕

So the place overall is quite tidy from the outside and is situated pretty close to the city central . Buses and metro are available close by . The biggest drawback I feel are the toilets, especially the bath space is extremely small , it’s almost impossible to even bend without bumping your head against something. I stayed in a room of 4 and the images might have been misleading for the washrooms . The rooms are pretty with so called nests(your bed). Tidy but could improve a lot , but don’t expect too much. Might seem really overpriced for the experience , but it’s an expensive city so have to adjust 🤷‍♂️. If your the person who wants to use these hostels as just a place to store your belongings and have a bed to sleep, Its perfect, while for the others who intend on staying in your room for longer periods , find other better places .

Really nice hostel! I met a lot of lovely people there, and even went there again when I was on my way back from travelling through Spain. The staff is super friendly and they organise many fun activities. The area is nice and pretty quiet, but you can reach the city centre easily. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice hostel that is very well made! I was in a room with 6 others but with the black screens felt i had some good privacy and no disturbance of lights. The service was also very kind. As i was the first in the room, i asked if i could change beds to one with a small curtain on the side of the window, and they went ahead to do the admin for the change. The bathrooms were also very clean. Very happy with my stay!

Clean rooms, several types of courtesy lights within each bed-cubicle, soap in the shower and friendly staff. A little bit expensive compared to other hostels but definitely worth the price!

The hostel was very clean, with private rooms, shared rooms, and common rooms. This was my first visit to a hostel in Spain, and it was really easy getting settled in with the super attentive staff. Everyone gave us ideas on what to do around the city; shout-out to Lucy for giving us the recommendations that shaped our trip and to Liana for helping to coordinate a Covid Test. All in all, a great stay and would come back again when in Barcelona
