Autumn
hiking
at
its
best!
Mild
temperatures,
incredible
light,
beautiful
colors,
and
few
people...
are
just
some
of
the
reasons
why
fall
is
our
favorite
season
for
hiking
in
the
Pyrenees.
The
national
park
across
the
border
in
Spain
has
to
be
one
of
the
most
exciting
hiking
spots
here.
It's
known
as
the
"Land
of
a
Thousand
Lakes"
and
it's
not
hard
to
see
why!
It
is
an
Area
of
Dramatic
Natural
Beauty,
dotted
with
mountain
refuges,
many
of
which
offer
designated
accommodations
through
early
October.
Outside
of
those
months
it
is
possible
to
stay
in
basic
'winter'
quarters
in
shelters
which
means
carrying
your
own
food
and
overnight
gear.
Adventurous
hikers
can
take
the
many
multi-day
trekking
trails
in
this
stunningly
beautiful
part
of
the
mountain
range
July
to
October
are
the
best
months
to
truly
explore
this
beautiful
place
