Clean, affordable and comfortable accommodation near the Urgell Metro Line 1! The bed is comfy and the showerheads are great! They provide toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, hairdryer and clean towels. While all receptionists I encountered here are nice, Antonio stood out the most because he is very friendly, helpful and makes you feel at home! Thank you for a great stay! I almost felt like a Barcelona local😄

Location is a plus, friendly receptionists. However it is not good value for money. You book one room type and then you get a smaller one that does not correspond to the description/pictures. You can hear every time the toilet is being flushed upstairs.

Everything!!!!! I can't explain how much my girlfriend and I were satisfied. Starting with the staff, they were really friendly, funny and gorgeous. The room was smelling so good when we got inside, and everything was super, super, super clean. Big shoutout to Antiono and a guy with long hair from reception who speaks a little bit of Serbian!!! If the manager or owner reads this, please award all people from the reception!

From the rooms to location and staff everything impeccable!

I think it is fair to start with the positive- it is clean. That being said, I did not enjoy my stay in the hotel. And you can keep reading as it gets ridiculous at the end. So, the AC was making some awkward noises all the time and for someone who sleeps light this is very bad. I thought the hotel was quiet but it was actually empty. The moment there were people on our floor and above I could hear them walk and talk. Water changed while taking a shower- sometimes I waited for 2 minutes for warm water to show and then it changed to cold mids shower a few times making me jump around and adjust it again, which will be worse when hotel is busy in full capacity. And here comes the funny part- from day one there was this guy Antonio at reception who tried to smile and look kind but was actually rude and frankly I did not enjoy interacting with him and tried not to. There is 1 key for each room and they want it returned at reception before leaving for a walk. Ok, but this key is the one you turn the electricity with (the card attached to it). This was the coldest week in Barcelona this season and I want to come back to a warm room. I asked Antonio for a workaround and got: We save energy and if you are not in the room AC will not work (what? Am I paying for this room or yes?) One of the days I needed a washing machine for a blouse and asked if they will help me out (it was no problem to pay) again, our “friend” sent me to a public washing service. I go downstairs and ask for water for the kettle in the lobby and he says: stairs are wet and water is upstairs you will have to wait. The thing is, it turns out he could have offered a kettle for our room, because we can have one for the entire stay (a fact I missed) but he did not offer one and made me wait for water. And here comes the situation where he flipped: we go out and ask his colleague at reception to get our room cleaned and towels changed. It turns out we forgot the do not disturb sign on the door. We come back, see no one cleaned and I asked Antonio for it to be done. He flips at me at this point, telling me that I have to bring him the towels and get new ones. Up until this point the only thing I did is have a very annoyed look on my face but I did not say a word, did not raise my voice or anything. And this dude decides it is a good idea to tell me: “You have a very bad face, I don’t have to put up with your bad face (repeated “bad face” like 5 times) and that I have to be kinder to him! I just turned around and left. Again not saying a word. He did not apologize because he is obviously some entitled guy who does not realize that even if you don’t like a client, you are at work and don’t have the right to act like that. But hey, when you just work somewhere you don’t realize this is no way of doing business.

The word “hostel” is frequently associated with bunk beds for 12 noisy students in one room, but this is what I would call a “hotel”. Very neat and clean. Liked all employees, but the one who spoke some Dutch was my favourite!

Awful stay in this hotel. Would never come back. Rooms are ultra small, the A/C is not working properly. The door of the terrace doesn’t close all the way. Some strange noises in your room when someone above you uses water, the A/C also is giving you hard time sleeping. Positive thing is the room was clean, and cleaned every day. The hotel is pretty close to the center, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We had 24Hrs stay in Hostal Centric. As we explore the nearby Seafood market and cruise by 15 mins walk.

Perfect location. Close to the city center. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. Clean room, comfy bed. You have to let the room key at the reception every time you leave. I thought it was going to be annoying but since there is always someone at the reception it wasn't a problem. The bathroom fan turns on alongside the lights and get annoying after a while. I wish I had the option to turn it on when I want to. The shower temperature is a little bit difficult to adjust. Overall I highly recommend it!

This is an amazing budget hotel. I stayed with my boyfriend Monday - Friday for a cheap visit to Barcelona. This hotel had everything we needed. We were greeted by an extremely friendly receptionist who spoke great English. The room was extremely clean, the shower was really nice and bed was comfy. The decor was simple but modern. There was a small terrace where we spent some time in the evenings. The location was the best part of the hotel - we could walk to major parts of the city in 10/15 minutes (La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter, the University). A modest stay but it had everything we wanted - great value for money! Would definitely return.

I had the most gorgeous and helpful young man when I tried to book in, it wasn't ready, but I was early. However he helped me with my bags, asked me if I needed anything, practiced a bit of Spanish with me, he was just lovely. My room is fabulous, clean and perfect for my last night in Barcelona and it's a few minutes from the airport stop, very happy 😊 And a very big thank you to the young man from Andalusia on reception on the afternoon of the 21st, you were very kind and I truly appreciate that xx

Superb stay- comfort & convenience wise. Antonio went out of his way to assist and he was so friendly and polite. The location was great, very close to many main attractions and several metro stations. Highly recommended!

A very good experience overall. The staff is friendly, kind and really helpful. The hotel is centrally located and there are nearby metro, bus and aerobus bus station (its the bus for the airport). Also, there are really good stores around the hotel for coffee, brunch and lunch. The rooms are smaller than they should be and the furniture dont utilize the space 100%. Furthermore, there is no refrigerator and the water pressure at the bathroom was quite low. As Barcelona is an expensive overall destination, Hostal Centric is totally worth the money you pay.
