My husband was looking for a nice pot of tea and cheesecake. The waiter brough some fancy cup with tea leaves which he very dramatically prepared in front of us. He said to wait a few minutes before you remove the top part and enjoy your tea. After removing the top part, there was only a half of cup of tea with no teaspoon or milk,sugar was on table at least. We asked for milk but still there was no teaspoon in sight. (my husband compromised with the cake fork). After the first sip - it was decided that it was the worst cup of tea ever! My husband asked for just a normal cup of tea - we were informed they dont serve any "normal cups of tea". My husband then asked the waiter for coffee instead, after telling him that the tea was undrinkable. We were still charged for that tea experience though. The cheesecake was average good, the portion is a bit small for the price thereof. Not our best tea and cake experience on our Karoo trip. The locals seems to enjoy the place though 🤔.

Stop chasing through towns like Graaff Reinet. Rather stop and chill for a couple of minutes. Support amazing businesses like these. Have a breakfast and an amazing cappuccino here and then enjoy your N9 journey further.

Ordered grilled hake and beef steoganoff taglietelle. Wonderful food, amazing atmosphere sitting outside in the shade. Service was quick as well. Really worth stopping if you are driving through and need a place to eat.

Had an amazing experience at Yard Cafe – the perfect blend of cozy vibes and great flavors! The outdoor setting is a breath of fresh air, making it an ideal spot to unwind. The coffee is top-notch, and the menu offers a delightful selection. The staff is friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you're in Graaff-Reinet, this is a must-visit for coffee lovers!

Service was very slow despite being virtually empty. Eventually ordered eggs benedict which came on a rosti cooked in old oil and a mound of mashed up spinach with the life cooked out of it. Hollandaise sauce was... weird - thin, wrong colour, meagre and compensated for by a blob of mayo on top. Genuinely the worst eggs benedict I've ever had. Toilets grotty, with the sort of accumulated grime that mirrors the general impression I have of the place. The coffee was good.

Not worthy to visit. Ambitious and confusing menu. Had venison, brie on salad on a croissant. Not the best , not sure even about the venison. Tasted like beef sirloin. Sat in the outside area , mistake , the extraction from the food prep area was not behind the building but next to it. We got all the smoke and smell of oil. The coffee were terrible. Don't waste time going to Our Yard.

Graaff- Reinet, has a gem with this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing. The waiteress Nolia made us feel welcome the moment we stepped in. The restaurant has a welcoming feel. Highly recommend for a great lunch.

The shakshuka, is the best I have ever had! Delicious and such wonderful portions. The service is also fantastic. Worth a stop on your way down to or back from the coast

The food here is shocking. Then, we ordered an extra patty and they charged us R75 PER patty! That is insane... Not only that, the patty was stated to be beef, but did not look or taste like it, so we didn't even eat it.

Set in a cosmopolitan street, our yard is a quirky little restaurant with seriously amazing coffee! A good breakfast stop when traveling from colesberg to George, friendly staff and a lovely peaceful courtyard. Highly recommended 😊

Went here for lunch with a friend. Waiters/waitresses were prompt and polite, outside sitting area was equally impressive. Chicken Alfredo was fantastic; creamy with tender pieces of bacon and mushroom. Spanakopita was crispy yet the inside wasn’t dry (perfect). Our only gripe was the fact that our cider came with ice cubes in it, seems like something you should ask for rather than a default. Who cares, we were able to ask for some without. From what I’ve heard their breakfast (8-11am) is also impressive. Well played, OurYard!

Our Yard in Graaff-Reinet is conveniently located next to the main road en-route to the coast. Graaff-Reinet is one of my favourite stop overs when I travel from Gauteng to Stilbaai because of the many well preserved historical buildings. The town transports one to a period when the area was first occupied by our ancestors. It displays artefacts of the establishment of Western culture. Our Yard beautifully fits into this setting by displaying modern artwork in many different styles. Great coffee, wine and food simply makes one want to linger. I left feeling refreshed and ready to continue on my journey. I highly recommend Our Yard as a breakfast or lunch stop.

Lovely restaurant! Had the best flat bread and a massive burger! Coffee was great too ! Really nice location and really enjoyed the layout of the Yard super cool! Definitely when back in town will be eating here again!

Everything perfect. It seems expensive at first but then the food comes! HUGE portions, very imaginative menus and wonderful staff. Definitely our new go to for breakfasts and lunch. We took my mom out for a treat and she was delighted. They even packed a beautifully arranged "doggy bag"

Was very busy and we felt a bit like an afterthough but could have been the time of the year. Food was good though.

I have searched for the best burger in South Africa over more than 2 decades, and out here in Graaf Reniet I have found it. Tasty as anything you can imagine. Top class.

We stopped in for takeout on a road trip and ordered a mix if flatbread, a salad and burger. Confirmed no cheese / no dairy on one flatbread for lactose intolerant diner. Got five km down the road and... it's loaded with cheese. No time to go back. Also: no serviettes or utensils, had to eat salad with fingers? Food was satisfactory but experience a poor one with those misses. Nice coffee though
