This place is exceptionally well located and safe. Within a tiny walking distance is all the beautiful old buildings of Graaff-Reinet as well as the lovely Pioneer's restaurant. Host is incredibly friendly and breakfast was lovely. The house was built some time in the 1800s and great care seems to have been put into keeping it looking pristine and preserving the feel of that era. Rooms were comfortable; my only criticism is I felt the bathroom grouting could likely be cleaned a bit better.

Lizel is so friendly and accommodating. Had a stay with short notice and a late check in and it was no problem at all. Clean room, lovely place! Peaceful.

We have slept over here before on two occassions. Things seems to be slipping a bit. Room in need of a good overall clean,not just on the surface.Very dusty in certain areas. Could use a hook or two to hang up towels in bathroom or behind door. Breakfast was good. Good location. Walking distance to restaurants.

This Guesthouse is a true gem. Lizzie and Andre are absolutely fantastic hosts and are so friendly and outgoing. The venue is really beautiful and historic, with so many relics of the past. The breakfast is also terrific, with a wide variety on offer. Restaurants are close by for dinner and it is very central.

We arrived without a booking and managed to get the last room in this guesthouse. What a beautiful room - service was excellent and we had a very good breakfast the next morning. This is one to which I will return time and again.

Buiten Verwagten is lovely guest house in Graaff-Reinet. The area is quiet but it is very close to the CBD. There are 2 very nice restaurants literally just around the corner. The rooms are lovely and there is a very nice pool and garden area.
