Such a pleasant surprise! Friendly staff, food was SO GOOD. Tried some pasta that I haven’t had before and they were cooked to perfection. So chewy!! Interesting interior with different shapes of wooden tables. There is only one 5-course menu for dinner. Make sure you book in advance, especially during Spring and Summer!

Good meal overall and exceptional service. The hibiscus foam as part of my fish dish was superb and a fresh new taste, yet my fish was over cooked and the taste of my husband’s meat was average. We came for the lunch menu and it was quite affordable and a good quality-price ratio for the area. In the end, Son’s was the top spot we ate at during our stay in Bordeaux.

The best meal on our multi-country trip, hands down. The entire experience was unforgettable. We chose a table close to the kitchen where we could see the chef and sous chef work their magic, including picking sprouts from fresh palettes, and they were happy for us to share in the experience. Our server Henry spoke English well and was able to explain each dish thoroughly. Each plate was exceptionally handled and meticulously crafted like artwork. It was a very inspirational meal, which lasted a total of 3 hours but felt like just the right amount of time (and that is coming from impatient Americans). Overall a great experience and would highly recommend! Be sure to make reservations.

The best fine dining restaurant we visited in Bordeaux! The ambiance is chic but quirky, the service is beyond friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our wishes (i appreciated last min accommodation of my friend's ingredient sensitivity). And the food was fascinating in presentation, with some surprises and unexpected flavor combination. They definitely deserve a michelin star, just for the dessert on the rock and their spices infused butters alone! We paid a bit over 200 euro total for four and found it very affordable for the level of experience we got.

This place should have more review. The food is fantastic. The chef is very talented . Flavor combination is out of this world. Every morsel was a delight. I would come again on my next visit. The service staff was also wonderful. The food here was better than the 3 Michelin star I ate in Las Vegas and Paris. I feel guilty for paying so little comparing to those restaurants and gave them a big tip.

This was a gorgeous experience. Very modern and different, delicious and we were so full at the end. Lovely wine pairings and all very reasonably priced. If you’d like a foodie experience in Bordeaux but not one of the stuffy super expensive one, can recommend. Would return!

Simply gastronomy delivered at it's highest standard from chef Sylvain. Not only this the attendance under the guidence of the fabulous Henri and setting with love edge wood tables act in perfect harmony with the exquisite culinary experience. Five stars will remain an understatement for this beautiful restaurant.

Such an incredible dinner! Every course of the fixed menu blew our minds away! Each one was very complex in ingredients/ taste and artfully put together. I’ve been to a number of Michelin star restaurants who don’t even compare! The service was impeccable and the design aesthetics of this place remarkable. Pricing was also very reasonable and serving sizes were a nice surprise, very fulfilling! At the age of 59, I can honestly say this was the most impressive dinner out that I’ve had! Wow!

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant that you must visit. Every day there's a different menu, beautifully crafted and plated and simply delicious. Lovely ambiance with an open kitchen with friendly staff that do a great job describing the complex creations in English. Great wine menu that includes local wines.

We came to this restraint on our two day trip to Bordeaux, and it was definitely a good decision. In terms of food, each dish had an amazing presentation and was well cooked. We had 5 courses and we were really full at the end. In terms of service, the staff were friendly and attentive - they were also knowledgeable regarding the food and drinks being served. We will definitely come back if we visit Bordeaux in the future.

The place is really well decorated with their own personality. The stuff were really warm and helpful, the waiter introduced me one glass of white wine which I liked a lot. The set lunch menu was 25 euro per person and I ordered one dish of Foie Gras as extra appetizer for 10 euro. Everything was really delicious and beautiful.

It seemed to me this course was the definition of French creativity. To describe in detail, it was like a series of complex yet coherent poems about the spring season. The delicate colors of each course, the combination of textures, a frosty temperature matched with warm flavors, unexpected but pleasant ingredients, all told very interesting stories. But like a poem, one has freedom to interpret or focus on certain aspects of the plate. And the champagne: excellent with each dish, perfect for the weather. We deeply appreciated a very warm welcome and helpful explanations throughout the meal. Merci beaucoup!

Don't think twice about it. Just GO! What a gem. No wonder it has this rating. Such a premium experience at very reasonable price. The food was rich a d tasty. The quantity was filling. The wine collection amazing. And eventually the last touch (the chef coming to our table to introduce the desserts) was the final touch. We loved it and couldn't recommend it any more!

Very nice and astonishing menu. Always special tastes combined with cold vs warm and solid vs liquid. The service is outstanding. A must try for fine dining lovers. Atmosphere inside is very nice , just the location could be better.

Wonderful fixed menu with just two options for the main dish. As a result, each dish is cooked with care and excellence -- and making up your mind is easier. I enjoyed a fish soup and a hake fillet with vegetables. Both were tasteful and wonderfully presented. The dessert was a really yummy surprise. Our waiter was courteous, helpful and kind.

3 words: In cred ible! Or as the French told us: in croy able! My friend (who’s a foodie and wine maestro) took me to lunch at Son’ last summer. I was blown away and so was he. The food was absolutely delicious. Every bite was a culinary delight. Our waiter recommended wine that paired excellent with our meals. We finished with the cheese plate and then came the “surprise dessert”. WOW what a finish. For days we were both raving about the experience, the ambiance and the service, so of course we had to go back. And it was yet again another divine meal. Thank you, merci, and until next summer!

Son's tasting menu was very delightful! We enjoyed the various creative takes and playfulness in the menu. 4/5 because there weren't a sommelier at the restaurant (at least we didn't get to see the som) and some of the courses were a little under seasoned for us.

I have probably tried half of the 2 and 3 stars Michelin restaurant in France, and SON offers an amazing journey rich of flavors inspired by the best ingredients and a lot of creativity. The menu changes almost every day, that makes another reason to come back. Bravo chef !
