The saddest botanical garden I have experienced so far. It lacks care and maintanance. We even felt a bit unsafe when a very loud and clearly drunk man stubbled into the garden. Like most places in Grahamstown I believe this once was an beautiful place... The plants that are still alive and blooming plus the big old trees are still beautiful to see. Don't go alone I would say.

Love it here! My dogs always have the best time and we enjoy the weekly Park Run on Saturday mornings!

Such a beautiful place, but shockingly maintained. Litter all over except the main thoroughfare (where it's easy to maintain). So many rare cycads dead and decaying around the site. Truly a shame.

A beautiful garden and escape from the bustle of the town. Unfortunately it is not well maintained and there is a lot of litter lying around.

Saturday afternoon stroll through the garden was lovely. Students in groups were having picnic birthday celebrations and kids were riding the trail on bikes. The bird life is amazing too.

The park is mos6ly well kept, it's a pleasant outing for a family for a picnic or a stroll in the park. I love the tall trees towards the end of the park. They contribute towards grand photos.

Very unkept. Great layout and infrastructure built by previous generations that's being neglegted by and under current municipality. Sies! @Eastern Cape municipal officials, do your jobs!

The place is accessible 24/7. Usually not busy except on Saturdays between 8 am and 9am when the Park run takes place.

👍👍 Absolutely best value for money. Great tasting food. Excellent service. Game drives are the best. It's a proper game reserve with the big 5. They have a rehabilitation center and it's great. All meals included and their accommodation is absolutely 5star. We stayed at the elephant ridge and enjoyed o...

🫤 So disappointed in how run down this beautiful and historical town has become. The filth and litter is unbelievable, pot holed roads. We had wanted to have a meal there whilst exploring but decided against it as everywhere is so filthy and even cut our exploring short because it was just so unpleasa...

👍👍 Even the fries here slap hard. Make sure to try the white hot chocolate. A good place to sit, chat and eat with privacy and light contemplation. Would recommend it.
