Professionally run outfit with experienced staff especially their ranger guides who drive (like rally drivers but safely and expertly!) around the massive park. A bonus was the 5 star accommodation and dining experience- 2 outings of 3 hours each, 6.30am, and 3.30pm. We stayed over 3 days so enjoyed 4 excursions, and saw the 5 main animal groups

We enjoyed our game drives at Amakhala. Our ranger, Evans is the best, he has great tracking skills and he respects the animals. We saw the big 5 (except the leopard) and it was such a memorable experience.

Amazing experience staying in Bukela lodge in the middle of the game reserve where the animals regularly venture up to the rooms! Friendly staff especially Zeus, top bloke, great food and amazing safari drives by Dave aka Memory.

A truly exquisite experience. Four safaris in two days, saw 4 of the big 5 animals and a host of others. The ranger was superb at getting us close, including within 10 feet of a pride of lions that crossed in front of our jeep. Accommodation, food and services were wonderful. This will ve one of your best decisions to come here

This lodge seems to be in the middle of nowhere. There is a long drive to the lodge even once you've entered through the main gate. On the way to the lodge I saw giraffes, warthogs, deer and tiny little monkeys and we weren't yet on a proper game drive. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the leisure area has plenty of seating and sun beds.

Go here, it was amazing...I can't wait to come back. Definitely try the horse back riding...it'd the only way to see the animals

Absolutely magical experience. Our guide, Donovan had a wealth of knowledge and a keen eye. The low number of tourists and the 2/3 max vehicle to a sighting was what made it special.

Absolutely amazing. We were fortunate enough to spend 3 days at Amakhala at Leeuwenbosch. We did 6 game drives in that time with Mali, who was brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and took us to see all the wildlife! An incredible experience and lovely to see the animals in their natural environment instead of in zoos like in the UK.

What an amazing experience, beautiful tented camps with splash pool to cool down, great views on the reserve with very knowledgeable rangers! Thanks to Tatum and Damon for hosting us and making us feel at home! The service was outstanding. The head chef Godfrey is amazing, he catered specificallyand exceptionally for my wife who is vegan, had the best meals every morning, lunch and dinner! Highly recommended! Will definitely be a regular visit for us from now on!

We had a wonderful stay at Camp Acacia and Amakahla Game Reserve. The facility was very beautiful and the view over the reserve, with all the wild animals breathtaking. In addition to the beautiful grounds, we especially liked the warm and familiar care by Edwin, who was available to us for every question and every request. Only because of him and his work, we always felt comfortable and at home in our chalet and therefore even extended our stay by one night. Thank you Edwin for the great time and we wish you and your family only the best!

The game reserve is amazing and we got to see all of the animals that were available to see. Our ranger Eddison was so knowledge and brought us so close to the animals. Some elephants, Giraffes, Monkeys and Antelopes came by the lodges watering hole. The only down side was the time in-between the game drives where you don't have much to do.

We could live here!! There are no words to describe just how amazing this place is. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. The layout of the Lodges are so unique and well located, we had room 1 which was just by the watering hole used for the animals in the reserve. The safari drives also do not disappoint, another big shout out to our driver Eddy whose eyeslight was just impeccable! The atmosphere was so relaxed and laid back. We also did the horse riding and a night drive which again were both such an experience. This truly was a once in a life time trip, one that we will remember forever and also a great start to our honeymoon.
