Only thing good for it is free wifi which I am using to write this review while waiting, way longer than necessary, non-existent customers in stop points. It's very very bumpy (you might crack a few tooth if you don't pay attention.) It says 15-20 minutes per tour but make it 30-45. There are no headphones provided and in nowhere I found a warning to bring one. (so no voice guide for me) Staff is a little rude. If I paid I would be very disappointed luckily it came with granada card but still its a waste of time.

Only went on because of granada card. The train is cramped full of tourists and roughly 4 people per aisle. Luckily we are a family and have lots of bags so they only allow us three in one row. If you have plebty of time and granada card you should take it and enjoy the ride. If you want the audio guide you need to bring old fashioned ear phones with the round plugs.

I actually found this quite a nice way to get around Granada, especially if you aren't going anywhere in a rush. The information provided through the audio was fairly interesting and it doesn't take long to get around the whole city. It was fairly easy to buy tickets at the stand in the city.

Staff is rude, aggressive and deceiving towards tourists from outside of Spain. If there is at least two of you the Taxi would be a better choice.

My wife and I are active, avid adventurers and as such have many experiences and tours and very rarely if ever give a negative review. This one should be a 0 stars. This tour was likely the worst we have ever had. We advise if you want to take a chance on this, make sure you DO NOT GET OFF to see any sight stops. You will be gambling and likely won't be able to get back on again. And if you complain, they'll just give you a dead pan expression and a shoulder shrug. Even when I speak some Spanish fairly well. Think I'm just being a grumpy tourist? Check my other reviews. We are very easygoing Canadians, and almost never complain.

Like most other reviews, I beg you, dear reader, to not waste your money. The staff is terrible, seats uncomfortable, and the app is incredibly unreliable - actually, scratch that, the app is downright unusable. During our stay, the route experienced major changes (with 2-3 stations being entirely removed), and no prior notice was given. We ended up losing about an hour waiting / wandering through Granada (a truly beautiful city, we loved it), and once we finally found a working stop, the driver simply wouldn't let us on. We had the tickets, and the bus had room, but he still wouldn't let us on (presumably because we had gotten off before and thus our ticket was void?). We ended up calling an Uber to get back to our car, on the other side of Granada. In summary, the app doesn't work, the staff are terrible, we got ripped off with only 1/3 of the actual route, and most of the time we ended up walking to the next station as the busses were too full or simply skipped that particular stop. However, despite this terrible experience with the bus, the city itself was unforgettable. Granada is truly amazing, and don't let this review (or others) discouraged you from visiting this treasure!

It's a good service. But I had a bus driver screaming at me in Spanish and gesticulating for a couple of minutes because I misunderstood his instructions and boarded the bus before showing the ticket. Not a pleasant experience and the screaming was uncalled for. Local buses run from the same stops, are more frequent and cost only €1.30. I recommend that instead.

Don't be a tourist bus driver if you hate tourists. Go get another job. Unpleasant experience from start to finish. Staff are rude, verging on aggressive. The audio was broken, if you found audio that worked it was not informative. We weren't allowed on the hop on hop off service as we didn't have the right to ticket and instead of trying to help the driver just drove off and left us stranded. Tried to then charge us more for getting back on the bus. Just wander around the city and eat tapas instead.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! We were told trams come every 20 minutes. We waited 1 hour during a non-busy time and no tram came to the stop. Many other people came for the tram, but left before we did. City buses much more reliable.

Only worthwhile if you have no other way to see the city. Make sure to get on the first run of the day as soon as it starts up and don't get off at any stops as there's a good chance it will be full when it comes around again more than an hour later. Very bumpy and uncomfortable on the cobbled streets and the smell of the diesel exhaust is sickening.

Debi leer los reviews antes de comprar los tickets por internet un asco de servicio, fatal el trato al publico y si tienes carricoche ni se te ocurra. Una estafa. I should have read the reviews before buying 2 stars still feels too high. Terrible customer service and even worst for families. They do not take prams and refuse to refund the money absolute scam.

By far the worse hop-on-hop-off city tour I’ve ever experienced. This tour company isn’t worthy of your money, and are verging on being a scam. They rake in ticket revenue all day, even when they know some ticket-holders will never get a ride, let alone multiple rides. Not enough vehicles to cope with shoulder-season early-October tourist levels. If you do get on, stay on for The Duration, or get off without any expectation of getting a ride back, because you’ll never get an empty seat except at the few major origin/destination stations. We waited at the top of the Alhambra for 2 vehicles to go past, but there were no seats available on either of them. The staff at Stop#3 were clueless when it came to ‘crowd control’, allowing what *was* an orderly line in order of how long passengers had been waiting to become an ugly free-for-all to scramble on past disembarking passengers; needless to say, some who’d been waiting the longest didn’t get a seat. Speaking of seats, they’re dogawful uncomfortable barely padded benches, on a vehicle whose suspension doesn’t cushion you from the old cobblestone roads as much as you might want. And because of how over-subscribed the service is, you’re expected to cram 4 people per bench like sardines in a can. The multi-lingual audio tour has 4 consoles per bench to plug in 3.5mm headphones, but it appeared 2 to 3 of the 4 on each. bench don’t work (all you hear is static), which is all the more galling when the tour operator will happily sell you a set of basically disposable headphones for an additional €1.50. And the diesel engine at the front is doing a pretty good rendition of an old coal/steam train engine, roaring loudly up the hills struggling under the load (I feel sorry for the local residents), and spewing diesel fumes in its wake for the passengers to inhale. Niiiiice… Stay away, this is the worst implementation of a hop-on-hop-off tourist bus/train service I’ve ever experienced.

What an absolute shambles. No limits to the passengers means that there are no seats available to pick you back up at stops. I waited for 2 hours with my 75 year old father with other tourists pushing in front of him to get on. Driver did nothing at all. Don't waste your money, absolute disgrace.

Bought tickets for a Wednesday in October because we thought it would be a good way to see the city without being on our feet for hours. We waited for 3 trains (over an hour) from multiple stops, each of which were full and could not seat us. We bought the tickets online, but they made us "check in" to get a paper ticket before boarding, during which the attendant let people in line behind us board the train ahead of us, causing us to miss the train again. After that, we asked the attendant for a refund, as we had limited time left (only 3 hours), but she waved her hand at us and walked away - VERY rude staff. We left and decided to walk around instead. We passed a couple stops and each was packed with people hoping to board. They clearly do not regulate the number of tickets sold and significantly oversell for the amount of space they have. Shame on us for not reading the reviews before buying tickets on a whim! We will try to email for a refund but don't have high hopes.

If you are looking for the typical hop on hop off that you experience in many other cities, then you will be disappointed. Granada is a small town, so if you have limited time, this is a good cheaper option to get an overview of the city.

Extremely hard to follow, only come every 20 minutes and is typically full so you waste a lot of time standing around waiting for the next tram. The map that tells you where the stops are is really hard to read and we spent more time looking for the bus stops rather than seeing the sights around the area. The staff was rude and dismissive and while we were speaking to them they would get in the tram and drive away. Waste of money and a huge waste of time. There were multiple occasions where people were seated in 2's and we were still told there was no room for us. Extremely dissapointed that seeing Granada was so difficult, due to this service.

Bus had 5 seats open and the driver said nope, no more. He enjoyed making the line of 20 people wait. This company is terrible based on other reviews as well. Absolutely do not recommend.

Fine as transport to get around but they drive fast which means you cannot site see, plus the ride is not very comfortable - cheap vinyl seats and many of the roads are rough. You spend more time stopped at waiting points than you do travelling - if they slowed down at interesting points it would be a massive improvement

One way to get around the city in a open tour train/trolley. Problems are that the stops are spaced fairly widely apart , so you may have to circle around to get off and see what you wanted to visit . Another issue is the roughly 44 minute into- too short To eat at many places so you are stuck for a good while. Choose your stops carefully and be prepared to swing around ,

A strongly negative service. The information given through the earcups are very few, there is no slow down when you pass close to an interest point, you miss the picture. It is just a very uncomfortable bus (similar to a kid train) bringing you through the city from A to B. On top of that, the running time is from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. but when I tried to hop-on at 8 p.m. the driver told us they were going to stop the service. "Terminado" he said, with no explanation, so we had to walk to go back to our starting stop. Really a bad service, better to stay away.

To avoid at all costs. As our schedule was quite tight, I decided to order tickets online, on the official website, with the correct email adress. Two hours later, I still did not have received any tickets in my mailbox, despite emailing the customer service as advised on the website in the Q&A. We tried talking to the train driver, and despite showing the booking and payment confirmation, he did not let us go on the train unless we would show the QR codes... that we had not received! Leaving us with no solution on top of being terribly unfriendly! I ended up finding a phone number, and was told to walk 30 min to a ticket office to get help! Complete change of plans versus the tour we had planned! When we finally got our tickets, and had lost almost two hours of our day, the lady at the ticket office was totally unfriendly and wanted us to go at the end of the tremendously long queue, not even listening to our problem and wanting us to wait for the next train as this one was full. After such an awful experience, it's clear that we did not enjoy our ride! In a nutshell: no help, a struggle to get tickets, and mean staff. Never again :-)

I went to Granada last week and tried to be on board the city tour bus on 27th of December, 2019 using my Granada card. Basically, a person owns the card can be guaranteed one-time city tour bus ticket excluding repeated hop-on & hop-off service. We went to Nueva plaza and requested the one-time bus ticket. A person in red jacket issued a ticket for us and teared off a part of the ticket right away as a proof of the one-time boarding. Afterwards, we were in que at Nueva plaza for the city tour bus for a moment and chaged our mind to use our one-time ticket from another station, and not the Nueva plaza. The man in red jacket gradly accepted our request and wrote something down to our ticket to enable us to use the ticket from another station. The memo looks like “error, pendiente cantear ....”. We moved to observatory of St Nicolas on our own and then walked up some inclines to observatory of St Christobal for about 20 minutes which is one of the stations for city tour bus. We waited more passing by 2 city tour buses due to other passengers in front of us. And finally just about to get on board the bus. But another guy in red jacket blocked us and said our ticket is already invalid pointing out the teared part. I explained that it was our first ride. But he just misunderstood that we were trying to use the “invalid” card again. Also i told him several times that he should look into the memo that his colleague left on our ticket prooving our first ride and call his colleague. But he ignored us at all and left us behind the observatory. The day was our last day in Granada and we were failed to enjoy our right to use the city tour bus and spent many times thanks to him. He did not listen to his passenger and made us people who are cheating in front of many other passengers. He should pretend to look into the memo and communicate with his colleague at least but he did not. I think it was pretty easy for them to talk to each other using their wireless set. It was very unpleasant situation in Spain.

Extremely uncomfortable. They pack 4 across but there isn’t room. Packed even off season. Audio guides don’t work (only static). Very bumpy ride. We only did it because it was free with our Grenada city card which we were forced to buy to get Alhambra tickets.

If you wanna waste an hour of your day waiting for the bus and being told to wait for the next one this bus is the one for you. There was clearly enough space on the bus too.

  • 1/5 James P. 4 years ago on Google
A lot of the route wasn't very interesting. We were squashed in. The driver was impatient with people trying to board. It was included as part of the Granada card, but I still wish I hadn't bothered.

Slow, boring and a waste of time. And the ‘filler’ music takes up most of the journey. This music is quite high pitched, so you turn down the volume to avoid it - which means you often miss when the talking starts again - rambling off more funerals and building years. Taking a regular bus would have been more fun.

This was the worst bus tour I have ever taken - and I have tried them in many cities. The city of Granada is totally beautiful but this poorly organised tour is simply terrible and not worth the 42 euro I paid for me and my family. The route is traffic-heavy and extremely noisy. The headphones we purchased for an extra 1.50 euro each were not suitable to deal with the ambient city noise. Worst of all was the commentary - or lack of it. We tried to listen for snippets of history or cultural references but the text was very intermittent and there was no logical flow to the narrative. It seemed to be random clips and information about a church tour or tower - often well after we had passed by the artefact in question. It was simply terrible and I do not recommend this. The city itself, the people and the food are wonderful. Just use the 42 on a cracking good meal in one of the many excellent restaurants.

I thought the train was fine. Made it easy to see everything in one day. You get what you pay for. The audio sometimes didn’t work but I just had to wiggle the headphones a bit. It gave an overview of history, but did include dates which I thought was great. The trains only ran for half a day because of troubles with the city but what I had experienced was decent. But I would definitely not recommend to be used during peak tourist season (August).

Waiting time of over an hour. The train therefore completely overcrowded. The audio guide was out of order. The advertised app does not exist. Never again.

Worst experience ever on the train. Waited for more than 2 hours but all the trains were pre booked for some Italian tourist. The seller told us the train is every 20 minutes on each stop but it is all lie to make tourists fool. Tried to complain and they say send an email. Such a nice city but because of these scams, tourists will always have a bad experience . Please avoid the same at all cost.
