We liked this place so much we went there twice during our 3 days in Granada. Delicious fresh fish, and love that everything is gluten free. The croquettes were amazing. Highly recommended

Don’t know what the hype was about. We ordered a lot bcoz of the reviews: squid croquettes, grilled shrimp, shrimp cakes, calamari, clams in garlic sauce, steak, black paella, grilled Iberico steak. The clams tasted like the sewer. We had to return it and we are not ones to return food! It was not edible and we don’t want to risk getting sick in Spain and ruining the rest of our trip! I would go elsewhere. The waitstaff also looked annoyed! On the positive side, the sangria was good and they did the right thing by not charging us for the clams.

Unpretentious and very good seafood restaurant. The scallops were definitely the highlight for me - absolutely delicious. The octopus dish was cooked very well but a bit over salted. Razor clams were cooked perfectly, but the taste itself was too rich for me. I’d recommend sharing it with someone, since having a plateful on your own can be overwhelming. I was also served 3 tapas in between dishes, out of which I really liked the fried white fish and some sort of seafood spread. The shrimp were a bit mushy and small, but then again, they were free. The local wine selection was quite nice as well and the waiters were all polite and helpful. Definitely make a reservation in advance, since this restaurant is very popular. All in all, be prepared to pay €40-50 per person for dinner with drinks, but the prices seem fair to me, given the quality.

Perfect service from all waiters. They were very polite and finally I found employees that they could speak English in whole Andalucía. The food was very very good with normal prices. The atmosphere of restaurant was great and it was very clean. I recommend it!

Best service! The waitress was very kind and helpful (Isabella). All seafood dishes were amazing. The beef fillet is alright but not impressive.

Service was really good, the restaurants was clean and nicely decorated. Really good for large parties. The portions are much larger than the photos in the menu. The eggplant with molasses was good so was the shrimp chips. ISSUE: the food was inconsistant. Our table ordered two mixed fried seafood dishes and the second one was extremely salty (Demasiado salado) like barely edible. Pretty much left 90%, told the server and she took it away. I still paid for the dish, but was really disappointed. A few of the other dishes were alright. The grilled fish dish, the salmon was barely seasoned and oh the seafood Paella was pretty salty still.

Lovely seafood restaurant in downtown of Granada 🇬🇩 the place is quite bright and good for large groups. Service was great, appetizers were served in no time and was delicious. We had mixed fried seafood platters that was good but a bit too oily for me. The fried lemon fish was so delicious the lemon zest was so clear in every bite. It was great they had vegetarian options as few of us in the group not a seafood fans and yet they enjoyed vegetarian paella 🥘 I had seafood paella, was a bit salty but overall good. Tomato avocado salad was so fresh, seafood salad was delicious and made to perfection. We had a meat lover to had a steak and was super delicious too, we were told meat is halal so worth checking out…

Amazingly fresh seafood, decent-priced, comfortable ambience with great, fuss-free English-speaking service! We appreciated the free plate of prawn appetisers as well ☺️ We dined here 2 out of 3 nights we stayed at Granada -- that's how much you can tell we enjoyed the place! Happy that people with Halal dietary requirements also have a lot of options.

It is a taverna-type fish-oriented restaurant. On weekends rather busy recommended to make a reservation in advance or alce possibly get a table after some time. During my visit "Saturday" we manage getting a table after some time. The service is good, but not perfect, responding slowly. The food tastes good and especially the lobster with rice. About cleanliness, I keep some reservations; the casserole is overused, and the reason for the cleanliness comment.

Very tasty! Totally recommended! I had a seafood paella and there was really a lot of seafood in it, not just rice. The sangria and the potato and tuna tapas were really good too. Staff was friendly and gave me an extra sangria because of the delay. The sangria comes with shrimp tapas.

The starters were fine - seafood soup & fried shrimp with egg - but then the waitress tried to serve my partner his salmon before he had finished his main. Yes, it was a busy Saturday night & they were trying to turn over tables. But that was not our problem! It spoiled the occasion. My swordfish was also dry & tasteless. They can do better.

Food was super especially the pork. Seafood was very fresh and well cooked. Shout out to Sonia who was the best waitress we had so far in Granada and explained very well to us about the food and local culture. Liked the squid croquettes too.

The best sea food that I have ever experienced in Andalusia! Prices are really good, taste was perfect and there are free tapas if you order drink. We ordered beer and free prawns came. Staff was really nice and helpful, trying to find a table for us although we don’t have a reservation. Portions are big, and we had a food coma, but it worth! ;)

Loved the food and garden seating! Paella and calamari were delicious. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. This would be one of my top recommendations in Granada, I'd definitely visit again if I'm there.

Great place. Fresh sea food . Lovely service. Nice atmosphere. We had seafood soup , black paella ,and baked salmon which were delicious. Cheese cake for desert was great.

We had 3 croquette and the Paella. The seafood was surely frosted and not fresh. The quality of the croquette was OK, the paella not even close to what you can get in Barcelona or Valencia (indeed is not a typical plate here in Granada). They gave us a complimentary tapas to start with shrimps (also frosted) and a complimentary liquor at the end. The only thing good was the service, the waiter was perfect, he was gentle and he could speak several languages. All in all, it is a tourist trap so I recommend to choose something else for your dinner. Definetely not a 4.6 star rated restaurant with 4k+ reviews. I didn't try the other restaurant from Carmela but I wouldn't expect a different experience from this.

Our recent dining experience at this establishment was marked by a warm and accommodating Camarero who went above and beyond to assist with our order. Despite arriving as a large group without a reservation 😁, we were pleasantly surprised to be promptly seated and served a delightful dinner after a day in Granada The ambiance of the place was inviting and spacious, perfectly accommodating our group size, complemented by reasonably swift service. The menu, abundant in choices, enticed us to sample a wide variety of dishes. Our culinary journey began with an array of salads - tomato and garlic, tuna, and octopus - each dish proving to be exceptionally delicious. The fried seafood mix, dog fish, and other fried offerings were devoured quickly, testament to their tastiness. While the seafood and vegetarian paellas were satisfactory, they fell short of our expectations. A standout moment was when one of our companions opted for steak and found it to be enjoyable. The only minor drawback was the need for more meticulous attention to cleanliness, particularly the floors, although our specific dining area was quite satisfactory. The pricing was reasonable, cementing our decision to revisit this charming establishment on our next trip to town.

Paella was lovely but would I say it's the best I've ever had? Probably not. The Carmellilos were absolutely the highlight, hot and crispy but very small so order more than 2! (It's per unit the price). A nice restaurant but did expect a little more on all fronts from the previous reviews.

Super restaurant for seafood. I sat inside and was taken care of by a very friendly waiter. Glass of nice house red wine, razors in a delicious oil sauce, and 2 types of croquetas, one of the best I've had. Very tasty and good value. Highly recommended

Super pleasant staff, who are both friendly and entertaining. Really good Sangria. Vegetable paella is REALLY nicely done and very tasty. Black rice paella was also delicious. Tapas were great. Highly recommend this place.

I visited this place a couple of days ago and already gave it 5 stars, but I went back and my gosh it was so perfect that I had to edit my response and at a text on why you should all go here. The place is clearly catered to tourists, but it is everything but a tourist trap. Just by being nice I got an extra free tapas (no secret fees!). As an nothern European I love to eat around 19 and all the other restaurants look absolutely empty and not ready for anyone. This restaurant is ready, doesn’t look weird at you, gives you an English menu. Cheap and amazing! 😻

Very good food and service. A bit pricey. We had the croquetas of shrimp and squid in its ink, the squid one was way better. And the vegetables paella (my husband is allergic to crab and we were told the rice is cooked with something that might contain crab, so que avoided the other rices. It was very tasty! And the sangria was good

I had the monkfish and the paella. They were alright, not out-of-this-world amazing though. The restaurant is so big and offers a variety of indoor, outdoor and backyard garden seatings. They have heaters to keep you warm in cold weather as well.

We tried the paella with black rice. It was excellent, the best paella we ate in Spain so far. The waiter has been nice with us, speaking a bit of French and English. I recommend it.

This is obviously a very popular seafood restaurant. Went there with high expectation but felt completely let down. The cooked tiger prawns’ texture was mushy and not fresh. Deep fried anchovies and seafood soup were only ok. Razor calms we’re the highlight. They were fresh and with good flavours. The seasonal vegetables paella was SO salty that was almost inedible. Staffs were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, don’t think I would go back again.

This a great place to have a nice lunch. We had some lightly fried shrimps, a garden salad which actually came with tuna, deep fried assorted seafood (awesomeness) and paella... all these dishes were amazing. Very affordable priced for the budget conscious traveller.

Food was kind of expensive but was very good. Servers were attentive and friendly. Drinks and tapas were also very nice. Our experience was ruined by other customers unfortunately. Our table was in between two extremely loud tables. They were discussing all sorts of things so loud... at a point I became very nauseous because of their loud discussions. But thats not staff's fault or restaurants'.... It's all about basic manners , which some people don't have.

Amazing paella possible to order just for 1 person. The tapas that kept coming with the drinks were outstanding. On top of that, the service was super friendly and attentive. Great experience.

Delicious seafood 🦞! Amazing service with big smiles and we had a fantastic time having lunch. I’m not surprised they have 4,000+ reviews. Popular with the locals and Spanish visitors. Highly recommended!

Amazing restaurant. My partner and I spent a great Sunday evening at the restaurant. We had (quiet) a few drinks and dinner at the terrace. The staffs are super attentive and kind. The tapas were all fresh and delicious. My partner claimed doesn't like seafood and he fought over every tapas with me that night. We had paella and grilled squid for our dinner and they are absolutely delicious and balanced. Very reasonable price.

We ordered several menu, but the best dish is Croquette Squid! It is savoury from the ink. Best croquette we had. They gave us complimentary snack and it was awesome. I can tell the fish was fresh! Seafood paella was too salty for my tastebud, we took it out and added white rice. It was better after that 😉 The staffs are speaking and understanding English. Also very friendly! Thanks

We had a delicious seafood soup here, along with a fruity and dry white wine, Ophalum (recommended by the waiter). The tapas on the house were a very tasty surprise, and the selection of grilled fish for two persons was absolutely amazing!! Totally recommend this place.
