There are many beautiful buildings in Granada, but this one is special. So rich in history, so many details, and so much beautiful architecture. We spent two hours inside the Nasrid Palaces, and really enjoyed it. Don’t miss the audio guides that you can rent for €6. Also, make sure you buy a ticket well in advance - it is sold out every day, also during the low season. We visited in October and it was not easy to get tickets.

This is basically the best part of the Alhambra. The entrance is bought separately from the rest and it is out, so you have to buy it waaaay in advance, probably a couple of months. But it is so worth it, amazing, incredible, astonishing, breathtaking... Heaven to people loving history and photography.

Absolutely stunning. The palace is only a part of the Alhambra complex, but its also its crowning jewel, and the most popular destination. The place was constructed with tranquility in mind but it was also meant to impress. The interiors are dripping with intricate detail. The complexity of geometric designs is stunning and at times overwhelming, while the outdoor spaces tend to be less visually busy. Definitely pay attention to the windows and the views. They were meant to appear like framed pictures on the wall, each window being carefully placed to show a certain landscape.

This place is amazing and you should not miss visiting this world heritage site when you are in the area. To visit the palace, you must buy your tickets in advance and reserve a time, as access is limited. If you are late for your tour, they will not allow you to enter, so be on time! The tour buses usually will start arriving around 11 AM and will keep arriving until 2 or 3 PM. So, if you are not part of a tour group, an earlier or later time slot is suggested. Plan on spending at least an hour or more going through the palace and it’s many rooms and gardens. Guided tours are available, if you reserve in advance. You can also rent audio tour devices at the entrance, or just pay to download an audio tour on your phone before you arrive. You will find the architectural features and decor absolutely breathtaking and plan on taking a lot of photos. It can be a bit crowded, too, so be prepared to have to jostle through the tourists to get your photos.

This is a walk in history. You get emerged in every turn with such well kept and maintained architecture. The sights are trully breathing and fantastic for photos and making memories. Now these visits are time sensitive and they will rush you out when time is up. Being such a large place you do want to hurry yourself up so you can manage to see all of it. You need to make reservations ahead of time as there will be a line, and you do want to get there before your set schedule as they will check your reservations and ID Multiple times and being back of the line means you are at the mercy of every else's speed. Do not miss this part of Alhambra if you do visit. It's a Must see.

Amazing audio tour that encompasses the entire compound. This location can be condensed to a day trip or a multi day experience. Tons to appreciate between the gardens lush and the palaces decadence. They did a great job restoring everything while keeping the story of the location. Buy tickets in advance, as they tend to sell out during the busy season.

Beautiful historical place, it is the dominant of whole Granada and the most visited monument in the Spain. Unbelievable arabic architecture, outstanding details on the walls and ceilings, this is the masterpiece of its period. The atmosphere was hypnotizing.

Nice architecture and gardens but it is a lot of walking (also strenuous uphill unless you can get a ride to the top). Bring your passports because we had to show them about 10 times (excessive). Also they were sold out when we arrived 1:00 on a Monday so get your tickets in advance

A dream came true, worth the visit and the hassle climbing the hill up to Alhambra twice in one day. Can’t even believe all these buildings with outstandingly beautifully made ceilings and walls were made hundreds of years ago. Breathtaking views of every corner in that place, reading about it is a bonus before you visit.

A beautiful place, absolutely a must-go if you plan to visit Granada. Make sure to have your visit with a guide, it e han es the experience and you learn a lot of history! Also, if you go on summer try to go on the morning, the hotness here is dry and intense on the evenings.

Stunning palace, it really show cases what was possible back in the day and puts modern day ‘VIP experiences’ to shame. A place of tranquility and beauty. Even though places are restricted I would still recommend going early to get the best light and the most quiet experience. The palaces way exceeded our expectations and delighted all the family.

We travelled 2 hours from Marbella to visit and it was worth the journey. Absolutely stunning! The Generalife gardens were amazing but nothing could prepare us for the Palaces which were like nothing we’ve ever seen. The architecture, stucco carved walls and tiles did not disappoint. It was hot on the day we visited but there were plenty of places to stop and rest in the shade, often by a water feature and in stunningly beautiful surroundings. If you are within striking distance of the Alhambra just go.

Incredible piece of history and architecture. In winter there was no problem with queues so the staff told us to come just 10 min before our entry time but in the summer they advise to come 1 h earlier. They don’t let you in before your scheduled time. Inside you can see beautiful interiors and other parts of the palace like courtyards and gardens. Take your time to enjoy little details, also stop to admire the views of Granada

Alhambra Mosque Granada Spain. It was a fantastic experience. It was wonderful to learn about Islamic history and Islamic inventors. Bought the tickets on the spot. Carlos the guide was knowledgeable even in the Islamic history of Alhambra. We would have been lost without him. The best time to visit is 3 pm when local tourists go for lunch. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to visit all the sites. The parking is open 24 hours. You can leave the car in the car park and take a taxi into the old town or walk down the path for about 15 mins instead. There to will find the local shops and restaurants including halal places. Beware the walk back is a very steep incline most of the way.

Speechless ! Perhaps the most gorgeous place I've visited. It was not so crowded and we enjoy it very much! You must allow yourself 3 to 4 hours to experience the Alhambra. It is not easy to get up there. We actually took a taxi.

Very impressive place with ornamental decorations. Great design and construction of rooms and rest gardens. The visit can take two hours if you have your own guide book and you read the information and look around. There are few wooden chairs to sit and enjoy the place. The tickets are bought for specific time and queue at the entrance is formed 5 - 10 minutes before this time.

An incredible palace to visit, just book tickets well ahead of time and pay attention to the strict timing rules (don't be late!). Very different to the prototypical European palaces. We went in first thing and it was great having only a few other people in the rooms.

Somehow there's still some magic in it even if fully crowded with tourists. Its interesting to see the mix of Arabic ages together with the catholic and Spanish monarchy icons. Beautiful gardens and views of the city

The palace is one of the most recognizable places in Spain. It is a showcase of the southern part of the country and the times when a completely different culture existed in these areas. Entrance to this part is only available with prior reservation. The ticket is valid for a specific hour and it is very important to show up on time. This part of the attraction includes observing architecture, mosaics, sculptures, fountains, cornices and domes :) If you are someone who is looking for excitement and entertainment, you won't find it here! If you don't have historical knowledge, it will be difficult to find your way around these chambers. They are full of hand-carved finishes whose detailing is astonishing after 500 years. Numerous fountains, which at that time were a sign of prosperity for the inhabitants of the desert, decorate every room, walkway and marks the passages. Balconies built on a square plan create a kind of solitude, which encourages to contemplation and practically completely isolates them from the world. In their center there are water basins that reflect the decorated walls of the palace. The culmination of everything is walthy greenery - trimmed live fences and orange trees. A beautiful place for every history and architecture enthusiast.

The guide was very informative, giving us a detailed three hour tour. After the tour you can spend more time there to revisit areas for longer.

It is a big and nice typical murish palace. The gardens are also amazing and all the fountains. You need to book ahead and be there to queue with 10 mins before your entry time. The whole Ahlambra place is beautiful. Take around 3 hours to see it all and enjoy walking in its gardens.

  • 5/5 Paulina Z. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful place, make sure you are there in the morning to avoid the heat and crowd. I think it takes about 4 hours to see everything, so plan it I'm advance and have enough time. Definitely recommending!

A must visit place for every history and architecture enthusiast. It is a magnificent palace built during the Muslim era in Spain and showcases beautifully the art culture of that time. The detailed work on the walls are something you cannot leave without appreciating. The entry to this place is timed so make sure to arrive on time and not miss your chance to enter.

It's a nice place to visit A mixture of Islamic and Christian architecture gives a super historical feeling which I personally enjoyed. The architecture is well done and preserved after centuries. Very calm A totally great atmosphere Not crowded at least the time I visited Very stunning architecture in terms of various potential considerations. There's no space to sit and relax but outside the space there are.

What a fantastic scenery to visit. You feel like being back in early centuries. We had a pretty early visit @08:30 and was the best choice for visiting Nasrid Palace. Two year ago it was a bit warmer and busier. Could to be back

Incredibile piece of architecture and art. I really recommend going to visit the Palaces inside the Alhambra. The reservation is online and you need to book your visit at a specific time since there are a lot of people who want to visit it.

Beautiful buildings. We had a guided tour which was great to understand how beautiful these must've been back in the day with stained glass ceilings and colorful walls. Even without the original colors, this place is so beautiful.

2nd time we toured Nasrid Palaces. Both times we booked tours and they were really good. Tour guides were very knowledgeable. The palace is beautiful and was worth the trip both times!

A must-visit if you're in Andalucia. There is so much history at this place, and it's just incredibly beautiful. It gets really packed in the afternoon, so it's better to go early in the morning. The audio guide is easy to use and helpful. Don't forget to book your tickets weeks in advance and be there at least 15 minutes in advance of your time slot.

This is the real star of the Moorish architecture. "Hard and soft are so close, that it would be hard to distinguish liquid and solid, marble and water. Which one is running?" What you should take into account are very strict security rules and wait time to get into palaces. We arrived in Alhambra at 12:00 and could get inside the palaces at 16:30. But it was worth it.

  • 4/5 Tanja S. 10 months ago on Google
Really pretty. Incredible buildings. I’d recommend doing a tour or an audio tour to make the place come more alive. We didn’t have anything and I felt like I could’ve known a lot more. It’s incredibly busy though which is kind of sad/annoying. Especially the big groups and the classes of kids are a big annoyance.

  • 5/5 Shaun T. 10 months ago on Google
Amazing detail and such an interesting visit. I would recommend paying for the audio tour though as there isn't much information on hand

  • 5/5 Robert S. 9 months ago on Google
It’s 18€ at the gate to enter, make sure you have ID or No entry. Get there early as the crowds build up by 11.00am and it’s cooler first thing in the morning. You’ll need at least 3-4hours to see the place. Sunscreen, hat water bottle are recommended. You can refill your bottle at the many drinking fountains located around the place. There’s also plenty of shady spots to sit and relax. When you’ve had enough of walking around and want to go back down to the CBD then straight out the front is the # 32 bus which will take you back into the heart of Granada

  • 5/5 Phyllis H. 2 years ago on Google
Such an awesome inspiring place. The enorminity and intensity of the moorish designs and artisry leaves one speechless. There is so much to see and learn about the era from here

its a world heritage site.. nice Palace .. it has been restored, if you see the picture of restoration it will blow your mind. things you should know: it is opened till 8pm. carry your passport with you, they check it when you enter the premises. to see the palace please make sure you reach at the entrance of the palace at the mentioned time. as they allow only certain number of people during certain time. so make sure you don’t miss it. we had to run to reach there on time. you can reach there by car as it has a car parking near by. if you missed the audio guide, you can also take one inside for 6 euros. take lot of pictures with loved ones and enjoy.

  • 4/5 Jonathan G. 2 years ago on Google
A nice palace with great architecture. For my opinion it's missing all the interior or any elements besides the palace walls, so you could feel the history, the place context and atmosphere, rather than the feel you're walking between ruins. Enjoy :)

  • 5/5 Syaza S. 1 year ago on Google
Very intricate carvings all over the buildings. The place is really huge be prepared for an extensive walk. We booked an audio guide and got to learn a thing or two about the history, we also saw a number of groups with tourist guides. You can also walk on your own if you'd like to explore it at your own pace. We had an issue with the travel agency we connected with for a ticket to the Nasrid palaces and I think it really affected my mood. I would probably enjoy the walk better, otherwise.

  • 5/5 Sander H. 2 years ago on Google
This is one the most beautiful buildings in the world. Its Morish architecture is one of the finest I've ever seen. The Nasrid palaces are the best part of the world famous Alhambra. Make sure that you buy your tickets to the Alhambra online. With the tickets you can roam the area freely, but make sure that you arrive on the designated time at the entrance of the Nasrid palaces, because there are only 300 people per half hour allowed. If you miss your time slot, you're not allowed in.

A beautiful place and a famous tourist attraction that does not require introducing it. Go there only on good sunny days and be well prepared. Take your own water with you and make small snacks. The place is always crowded which affects the quality of your time there.

This is a must see if you are in Granada. You can get your tickets at the gate for 18 euros each. It's easy to navigate. Give yourself several hours to walk the palace and garden.

Enjoyable visit to this famous site which involves patience due to the vast numbers of visitors in a limited space. Don't let that put you off as its more than worth the visit. The architecture, ambience & beauty of the palace are stunning.
