Had a great time with guide Elio! He knew everything about birds & monkeys, which we saw a lot. Even a nest with baby kingfishers! English was very good and he told us some things about the islands and who lived there. In short: we definitely recommend this operator as well as Elio, the guide!

Vladimir is super knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We came at 6am to see wildlife. We saw loads of birds and some monkeys. The kayaks are super comfortable and easy to use. Great value for money! totally recommend!

We took an early morning private tour with Paulo. The tour was at a nice pace and Paulo was very informative. We saw many animals including howler monkeys, many birds and a terrapin. Half way through the tour we stopped at the old fortress and were provided with fresh watermelon. The tour lasted just under 3 hours which felt the right amount of time. I would recommend the early morning tour because you see lots of wildlife before the boats start running and you escape the heat. We contacted the company via WhatsApp and they were very responsive. We paid $30 pp which included a private tour and pick up/ drop off. Paulo was so kind he even provided us with a bag full of mangos to take home - thanks!

Vladimir gives an amazing tour of the Isletas. He's very knowledgeable on the history and took us to all the cool spots. We had a photographer friend with us and he took some fabulous photos of birds and monkeys . He has a top notch beautiful boat and dropped us off on an island for lunch. It was such a great day! Highly recommended!!

Had a really great tour this morning with Lorenzo! We went at 7am and that was the perfect time to be kayaking. It was super peaceful and relaxing and more beautiful than I had expected. Saw so many birds and monkeys and Lorenzo knew the name for all of them. Would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing sunrise kayak with Vladimir, we saw so many birds and he knew every single one plus howler monkeys and these tiny cute bats. Such a great way to start the day and really explore the natural beauty of the area.. do not hesitate to book!

Look no further, this is THE kayak place. Our taxi driver called Vladimir and said we were coming. Vladimir was kind enough to wait for us at the parking and gave us such warm welcome. Our guide was Elio and he was amazing. He loves the nature, knows the animals but most importantly he is a local so he knows his way around the islands. They both speak English. We could borrow a waterproof bag. 5+ from my group

I can see why all the reviews are five star. What an amazing way to spend a few hours. We booked a tour by kayak with only two days notice. Finding the WhatsApp number on Facebook, the responses were instant, friendly and professional. We were collected from our Airbnb and we're on the water in no time. An early start, we didn't see another person for an hour and a half, just us, fantastic nature, peace, and a wonderfully knowledgeable guide. Kayaks enable you to get into some inlets and routes the boats can't. We had an amazing morning, loved every second and would recommend without a moment's hesitation. Went a second time today. No guide, just hired a kayak for 2 hours to explore by myself. Another smooth, professional experience. Had a wonderful morning.

My husband and I hired two kayaks for the morning on the lake: communication via WhatsApp was easy, Vladimir greeted us when we got there. We borrowed a drybag and stored gear with them. Thoroughly recommend for an independent kayak around the isletas.

It was a nice tour and the guide was friendly. The area is beautiful and we saw some nice birds and monkeys. Maybe a little overpriced for what you get but then we are in super touristic Granada (for example we paid £7 to rent a kayak in Lake Yojoa - Honduras for a whole day). Also, when we got out the taxi at the kayak dock, I hadn’t even taken a breath of air before 3 different people in the space of 30 seconds asked us to pay for the tour in advance - don’t worry guys we weren’t going to escape without paying 😂

My guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and had good english. The tour included transfers to/from Granada and was very fairly priced. Id 10/10 recommend this company

What an amazing experience! Beyond words fantastic. Pablo was the best guide. He has so much interesting knowledge about the plants and animals. I saw and learned so much. We saw monkeys (truly wild ones NOT on the unnatural "monkey island" which imprisons 2 poor spider monkeys), bats and at least 12 types of birds (including toucans, comorants, king fishers, green herons both adults and a nest with two chicks!, tiger herons, black-crowned night heron, egrets catching fish, parrots, vultures, and more! Did you know dragon fruit is a cactus that grows on and ultimately kills trees and has large, gorgeous flowers? Or, that howler monkeys can swim? Just a few of the many fun facts I learned. Kayaking through the blossoming white and purple water lilies surrounded by butterflies and birdsong was truly an unforgettable experience!!!

Nous avons fait un tour avec Elio pour 25$ par personne. Les kayak étaient parfaits, ils nous même fournis les dry bag et nous avions le droit à une noix de coco à boire. Elio sait beaucoup sur la faune et la flore ce qui est très intéressant. Nous avons vu deux espèces de singes, des chauves-souris , tortues et beaucoup d'oiseaux. Je recommande chaleureusement !

Great communication via their Whatsapp. A private tour for 2 people was $25USD per person for 3 hours. Which included a pick up and drop off in Granada, life jacket, dry bag, guide, coconut and the kayak. Our guide Angel was super friendly and was able to spot all the different species of birds. We saw so many monkeys as well!! Best way to visit the islands if you want some serenity. If you time it for sunset as well, you get to paddle back in the best light.

The very best way to see the Isletas near Granada is by kayak, with Vladimir Kayak. We were a family of 4 (two little kids) and Vladimir was patient with the little ones and it was easy in double kayaks. By kayak instead of larger boat, you can visit special smaller channels filled with birds and lush vegetation. Vladimir is knowledgeable about the area and all the flora and fauna, and is also passionate about the area, a few times when we passed a small piece of garbage he made sure to kayak over and pick it up. Highly recommend booking this tour with Vladimir Kayak, especially if you love birds and nature.

We did the early morning kayak tour with Vladimir this morning. The lake was beautiful and quiet, lots of wildlife to see also. Our guide was excellent and spoke great English, he was very keen and you could tell he really enjoyed his job. Loved our experience. Pablo was very knowledgable about so the birds and wildlife. We were picked up promptly and our taxi was waiting for us to take us back to the hotel when we were finished kayaking. Went at 6am and it was gorgeous and peaceful.

If you want a great tour of the Islets, make sure you book with Vladimir. He is very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. We got a great tour and saw the local people as well as all the touristy stuff like monkey island. You’ll enjoy it.

We had a great time kayaking with Vladimir. He explained many things about the birds and animals we saw during the excursion (in perfect English). The kayak tour was private, but at no extra cost, so it was a really well guided unique experience. The best we have experienced so far in Nicaragua! Had an amazing time kayaking yesterday. The area is beautiful and the guide was fantastic. I told him I was learning Spanish and he spoke slowly in clear Spanish so I could practice, but would explain in English if I couldn't understand something. He showed us many types of birds and it was a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend!!
