I made a reservation and unfortunately due to an emergency. I had to cancel, I paid with an American Deposit Express and it’s been a month and a half and my credit card has not been refunded. Not only are they keeping 25 dollars from canceling, but also my money has not been returned and they are the worst to get a hold off. This is beyond unacceptable and not understanding how this people can operate a business like this. All I want is my money back to my credit card.

Sorry id give them less stars. Was promised free shuttle over. Then was told to take a taxi to be responsible when clearly they were over their limits to safely transport any one. The owner was rude. I never give bad reviews...

Some things to know before going: -if you get the hammock option for the Friday night rave, the hammocks are spanned pretty short, so not very comfortable and 2am might not be the time they are hung up, so if you're down for a very long night, great, but if not, there's not really a way to sleep anywhere else since the hostel is quite far from anything -hostel is situated up a hill, so being drunk + having big backpacks after dark might not be the easiest to get there If that's not a problem, then it's a great place to meet other international backpackers and have a nice techno night! Staff is absolutely great and the kindest people though!

I visited Treehouse with 3 friends, two of us foreigners and two Nicaraguans I have known for years. We planned on coming to see the sunset, and maybe staying for a few drinks later in the night. After a while, my friend and I went downstairs to explore, leaving the two Nicaraguan's with us alone. Within 5 minutes, they had been accused of dealing cocaine and were being kicked out of the premise. While I understand the bar has to take drugs seriously, I am 100% certain that my friends had nothing to do with cocaine. The sad truth is that they were the only latinos in a bar full foreigners, and upon being left alone, were quickly kicked out. When we returned to Granada, we found the Australian owner of the Treehouse, John, to discuss what had happened. He was immediately dismissive of our concerns, defending his trained staff and security. He was particularly aggressive towards my Nicaraguan friend. As I got more involved in the conversation, he accepted the error, and offered to send us back, but at this point it was already late in the night. I questioned if the decision to remove them from Treehouse might have been discriminatory, and John quickly became defensive and aggressive. He claimed to "donate to charities" and "employ nicaraguans." His responses were less than convincing. Overall I was extremely disappointed. Treehouse runs to serve only foreigners, and I urge you to consider the implications that can have on the local population who have lived in Granada all of their lives and now have limited access to different locations. While these may not be the issues we all want to be considering during a holiday, the least we can do is avoid places that enable discriminatory practices.

Fun spot for travelers, super chill, very welcoming staff. It's every kid's dream to play in tree houses, zip line in the trees and see monkeys in your bedroom. Stairs are super slippery rocks.

Went for Friday “rave”. Place/venue is beautiful, otherwise not that much of a vibe. Only space in Nicaragua that I saw a Pride flag :) but it was rolled up :(

  • 1/5 Louis L. 3 years ago on Google
15 USD for a party with absolutely no vibe, music made for sleeping... It was supposed to be a Techno party, from 4pm to 8pm the DJ was great, putting some Bassy House. Afterwards I dont know how to call the type of music it was... No bass, drummy, static crowd of the dancefloor because it was so slow and boring. Many of us took the first shuttle because of the lack of talent from the DJ who killed the party. If you like Techno, don't go there.

The place itself it is beautiful. Located in the middle of the jungle with a breathtaking view but I have found a “party-vibe” only and we didn’t even stay there during the jungle rave but on a regular Thursday. The only common area available is really small and it is packed with people drinking most of the time so if you want to have some peace the only place to stay is the dormitory. I think the place has a great potential but it is mostly used for party purposes which it is ok if you love that atmosphere but if that’s not the case I wouldn’t suggest to spend more than a night there.

You need to be realistic about what you're getting into here. This isn't a 5-star Hilton, but a hostel/rave location built with love and passion, with a history that goes beyond the current three owners. They've done a lot to improve the place and make it a great spot. The sleeping areas are pretty basic, and there's a lot of room for improvement, especially considering the high price of the event itself (knowing that most guests only come for the party, as the hostel isn't open 7 days a week). The accommodation itself is reasonably priced, considering the location and experience. It makes sense to stay for the full 4 days available, not just for the party. The party itself is obviously shaped by the attendees, and you need to be prepared for it to get really crowded. I mean REALLY crowded. Considering that hundreds of people are being served in such a small space, on the edge of civilization (it's not exactly the jungle, but it feels like it), with all the drinks having to be hauled up there, and with a focus on hiring almost exclusively locals (except for the three owners who aren't from Nicaragua), I have to say: hats off! No one goes thirsty here, but the prices reflect that. However, it's well-deserved when you know what goes on behind the scenes. You should also be aware (and I don't mean this negatively) that this is a safe space for all people, who identify as anything and everything. You need to be tolerant and accept that women sometimes look like men and vice versa. But to each their own, and if everyone in the world had tolerance and respect, the world would be a better place. What I'm trying to say is that people who aren't comfortable with a very open and expressive LGBTQ+ atmosphere might not enjoy this place as much. Overall, I would come back, but I don't think I'd sleep there again until they've upgraded the accommodations themselves.

We have heard amazing things about staying here but this review is for the party itself :) I would say it’s overpriced for what you get, two small areas, huge queues to get served for a drink or use the bathrooms You pay for the treehouse location which is stunning, the music is great and everyone was friendly! But personally it would be more enjoyable to pay more and have a smaller capacity so you can actually enjoy the venue more, have space to dance and get a drink ☺️

Biggest advice is not to come on any day besides Friday, which was apparently so lit that none of the staff could be bothered to stick around past 9 on Saturday. The place was completely dead when we arrived, our group was told that we weren’t allowed to even hang out in the shared space and had the lights switched off on us. Outdoor toilets and no air conditioning which is fine unless you’re being sent to your room with no other options. Since it was still early, we decided it wasn’t worth staying. Unfortunately the staff had locked up our passports and it took nearly 2 hours to find someone to give them back. We were told that it was unfair to expect someone to be awake since they were all hungover/coming down from last night? If you choose to stay here, fingers crossed you don’t have any kind of emergency because there won’t be a single sober staff member available to help or even give back your passport so you can leave.

Host amazing people were fast served But: the conditions of the places does not warned you about rocks or the usage of climbing boots so there for i snapped my leg and i have a few scratches and this affected my work so I'm considering suing since my leg and work is affected by this. The place is a death rrap when you go to the net. No warning wether if you might fall of the rocks And last light not sinal when going, my car suffered damaged because i got lost for lack of directions i had to ask for locals, might be considering suing for that too

A very social hostel with an amazing crew. The activities are fun and the views are amazing. The downside is the accomodation itself: a massive hike to the main building and extremely poor rooms, where you can hear everything from each part of the building. The mattress was good but definitely doesn’t compensate for the rest.

This place is very unique as it is a hostel built in the trees. It's a very quiet place. During the day people are laying in a hammock, drinking a beer with chill music on the background but you can also do one of the offered tours . The price of the tour to Agua Agria is $10 for the shuttle and C$50 entrance fee. At the hostel you can get basic food for $6 (chicken with rice and beans, spaghetti with chicken, ...) . When the evening falls, there are some activities. We had a nice party on Wednesday and on Thursday it was 'open mic'.

A very beautiful hostel with friendly staff but I would probably not stay here again. This hostel really is a JUNGLE so be prepared for monkeys, spiders, and bugs. We stayed in the treehouse which had a great view but IMO is not worth it. There is only one outlet and ours was on the corner of the treehouse which is directly above a 15 meter drop. I have no idea how people normally charge their phones but we had to ask the staff for an extension cord. Also we contacted the treehouse through WhatsApp and asked if we still had to pay for the party if we were staying at the hostel and they told us we didn't so we ended up booking a place there. When we showed up they told us that we did actually have to pay. Even though we showed them the message of them telling us we didn't we still had to although it gets discounted to $20. That was a little disappointing. The Wi-Fi also only works at the bar area. The bar area does have plenty of space for sitting though so not a huge issue, unless you are trying to find a place to sit during meals then it can be an issue. The food at the hostel is good but the time they serve lunch and dinner is a little inconvenient. Only from 6 - 7 pm for dinner for example. If you’re out traveling and you miss dinner then you miss it. Obviously being in the middle of the Jungle you don't have any other options of where you can eat. We would reserve our dinner in advance so that if we were late for some reason we still had food. The hostel has two choices of snacks you can always pay for however. Also the food options are limited, usually just a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option for dinner or sometimes just a vegetarian option. None of this is bad, but like I said earlier just a little inconvenient. Also unlike most other hostels we've traveled to, Treehouse doesn't really organize anything or really help set up any tours up besides one on Friday that's for the community that's under the Treehouse. The most they will do is call you a cab to take you to a place like Masaya or Lake Apoyo but they don't organize any group trips anywhere. Most hostels in Granada organize shuttles or tours to those places and it's much easier to negotiate with taxi drivers in Granada because you have plenty of options. The party is also most likely the best party you will get in Nicaragua but again I think a little disappointing to me. Maybe I'm just used to raves and parties in the US but with a $35 price tag I was expecting more. Also it’s an actual HIKE to get to the hostel. We read about it on their website but we have been backpacking all over so we figured it was just exaggeration but it's true. You have to climb up these uneven stone steps for about 10 minutes before you even get to the reception desk haha. Overall its just too inconvenient and not cool enough for me so next time I would just stay in Granada.

Went here for a friday party and it did not dissapoint. Thumping house and techno all night long, super cheap drink prices. Queue for bar wasn't too bad, 5 mins max and a very cool venue and view. The paths are very dangerous though when dark and drunk as theres rocks everywhere. Expensive ticket but would defo recommend if you like raving or partying!

It is a safe and well organized place to party. However it really felt like a high school event so don’t expect anything intergalactic. Lot of young people either pissed drunk or desperately looking to get high. Still very good security service so no issues at all. Very pleasant staff It might miss the ambience , sound and music of a proper club, but I think it is still worth the visit. Regarding the pricing of drinks etc… the selection is boring , but for being at remote location , still ok Rating 4,5 stars

I didn’t stay here, I was peer pressured into the jungle rave that happens every Friday. The tickets were $35USD which was my only deterrent. Happy that I went, it’s a great party (although drinks are expensive). Awesome views for sunset aswell so recommended getting the 4pm shuttle ticket. Push on till 3am

Treehouse is truly paradise 💚🪩 Their weekly Friday jungle rave stands out against all the other backpacker parties for the focus on genuinely GOOD music in an incredible location! Security, bartenders and all staff were all super friendly and professional. Tickets include shuttles there and back and there's also food and snacks available all night! 😍😍 If you want to soak in the jungle vibes a little more, it's also an amazing place to stay if you're lucky enough to spend some time there. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We just went for the party as rooms are sold out weeks in advance. The location is cool, the music is good and the decor is fun. However entry alone is 35 dollars and due to its remote location you are forced to buy expensive drinks and food there for 4 hours until the first bus goes back. I would recommend the party if your not on a budget or like the kind of parties where everyone has saucers for pupils

This place is generally booked weeks in advance, I stayed in the dorm it’s pretty rustic and really no frills to speak of but that’s not why I went there, they have a party on weekends and I felt it would be a unique experience and it was. I did yoga one day, had a massage, and of course the party was a lot of fun, the staff were amazing, good vibes and energy all around, very relaxing definitely a unique experience. You can buy meals and drinks there, it’s not really walking distance from any stores so it’s helpful that they have the basics at the location. I drove my motorcycle there, they have lots of parking but it can be a little tricky to find as there aren’t any clear signs or directions but that’s part of the adventure. You have to book a minimum of 3 nights the party was on the second night. It’s also a lot of up hill walking to get from the living area to the main area. I feel you’ll want to be in relatively decent shape. Overall it was a great experience, met a lot of amazing people and had a fun time!

I would recommend going to the party here but not staying. I was in a private room and half way through the night my cash was taken from my room, presumably by the security as it was locked and no one had access to the room. Apart from this the party is great and volunteers there are very friendly.

Treehouse is huge vibes!!!!! ❣️ Friday night party has two seperate stages music slapsss great Djs, cheap drinks and the staff were really cool and friendly 🫶🏽- its built on the side of a volcano absolutely stunning views if you arrive before sunset - if you’re lucky enough to stay here the accommodation is cheap it was so cute staying in one of the treehouses we saw heaps of monkeys and they offer free shuttles to Granada - 💯 Highly recommend!!! 🇳🇮🇳🇮💙💙🌋🌋

ATT: Israeli Backpackers, I would advise you skip this place on your travels. As much as it's a super cool and unique experience to be sleeping in a tree house, which on paper is all about good vibes, the moment the staff found out that we were Jewish, their demeanor towards us became very cold and we felt unwelcomed. It's super sad, all humans deserve to be treated with kindness, regardless of race or religion and if you have different political views.

After hearing about this place for years, I cannot express how deeply disappointed I was when I went there on a Friday night. The sound system and music in general on the bigger stage was absolutely abysmal and it seems the whole venue has become a bit of a high school event. With only alcohol and pizza available it was more like a 16 year olds birthday party. An 11 hour "rave" but you can no longer buy anything inside to help keep you going? Just 11 hours of backpackers drinking alcohol, stumbling about on an uneven terrain whilst a terrible Eminem remix crackles through rusty speakers. Every time I saw someone chewing aggressively, I'd get hopeful and think "oh they must know where to get something fun!" but alas they were just eating yet another slice of pizza out of sheer boredom. If you've heard of this place being the best spot in central America to see the fourth dimension whilst chewing off your eyebrows to insane techno music, I'm sorry to say it is now just a mediocre party in the woods. It is evident they no longer care about the vibes or music but more about how much money they can make from booze and food. By 9pm the majority of people either left or were ready to leave. I've been to many a rave sober and danced the night away because the music was good, that wasn't the case at treehouse. A deep, deep shame, I only wish I'd visited a couple of years ago. I sincerely hope they can bribe the necessary people and find better DJs in order to restore the spot to its former glory. I will say that the staff were all incredibly polite and kind, can't fault them in any way, they were all lovely.

Party was v expensive and slightly wack tbf. Not very fun vibes unless you think of yourself as a pretentious tech house luvva. Or maybe I'm just being pretentious. To put it simply: in order to cope with the mediocre bangers and cold stares from rich kids I had to get black out drunk and fall down the stairs as I left. For the travellers that want to go check out a cool venue but don't wanna commit to the ridiculous price there is a secret way in (go past the obscene amount of angry dogs but stay left as we went right at the last junction stupidly to avoid the dogs). For those who think I'm being unjust the average monthly wage for a Nicaraguan is 150-200 USD = 37.5-50 USD (Timecamp,2024) this inherently makes the event elitist and non inclusive as an average Nicaraguan wouldn't be able to attend realistically.

Loved my stay there! Stuff is wonderful and makes you feel like at home. We stayed in the tree house and were very happy there even at first it looked a bit scary walking up the stairs I quickly get used to it. Treehouse was a highlight of my travels through Latin America! The jungle, the party, and the hostel are set up to be a memorable experience, but it was the staff and other guests that made it truly special. The welcoming atmosphere made it hard to leave, and I made lifelong (hopefully!) friends here.

I stayed and also was there for the party on Friday! I loved staying there. You need to hike up to get to the dorms and then us again a little bit to get up to the main area, BUT the food is great, the staff was really cool, the sunset is amazing, and the space itself is really cool. Was definitely one of the highlights of our trip around Nicaragua. I would recommend staying only more than one night so you dont have to hike up and down the next day, and I would strongly recommend booking as soon as possible. I stayed in the private treehouse and I really liked it. They also offer a shuttle earlier that can take you to MadHouse, a hostel in Granada. Have a look at their website for some more options instructions on how to get there. The party was also really cool! They offer pizza but they did run out, so I would recommend eating before you go, or bringing a snack if you get drunk munchies. My only complaint is the music. I like electronic music but they had two stages and like 6 DJs. I don't understand why they cant get a Latin music dj. Of course, the majority of the crowd is European so I understand techno is a little more popular, but really, we're in Latin America, some reggaeton really wouldn't hurt!!!! The variety in music was really lacking I found. I would 100% recommend going once, but I'd consider going again if I saw they had a more varied line-up, considering the hike and all that.

Probably the best hostel experience I’ve ever had, the actual hostel itself it absolutely incredible and the surrounding jungle and wildlife is beautiful. Staff were incredibly friendly and fun and there were plenty of activities being run every day which were super fun (karaoke was a highlight). The rave was also ridiculously fun, wish I could’ve stayed at the treehouse longer !

Myself and 3 friends booked the treehouse a few months before our stay, closer to the date we had to move our days and the staff were very helpful and patient with us moving our days. The staff alone are the best i’ve ever met in any hostel, super cool and inclusive people. As i’m sure it’s the same for a lot of people, we first heard about the treehouse because of the party, but they truely offer so much more than that. As i was saying i'm travelling with 3 friends and we all have super different interests, whether it be nature, sport or having a little party time. The treehouse was overly accomodating and has activities that suit every persons interests. We did chocolate making classes using traditional nicaraguan tools and techniques. We played a soccer game against the locals and did a tour of the local town where we learnt about the History of the treehouse and of Nicaragua as a country which was super insightful and made your stay so much more special when you find out what it means to the community and nicaragua as a nation. We also sang karaoke and it was awesome to see everyone get involved singing their favourite music and getting around each other. Obviously the party was epic too, it was great to see that staff having fun and interacting with all patrons, all from completely different backgrounds. In conclusion, the Treehouse has been a highlight so far and will continue to be for the rest of our trip. cannot recommend it enough to anyone.

One of the most unique hostel ive ever stayed in! Way more then a party hostel like some people like to call it, on wendesday you can enjoy a chill night of trivia and bonding with guests and on friday you have a community tour that shows how much this place loves and respect locals! The party is just a whole other level! If you love electronic music this is the best night for you from mexico to Colombia, mad lign up, beautiful venue and amazing crew, the vibes are great and the bar isnt too expensive (120c for two rum and coke which are pretty charged). movie night on Saturday is a great way to get your hungover down with a hearty comforting big pasta bowl. Defenitly stay there on friday! If the place is fully booked stay in a hammock, worth it! The cat and dog (chicken and nugget) are one of the best bonuses ive had

If you're at Granada (or just traveling through Nicaragua), the Treehouse is an absolute must go! Just 30min away from town, free shuttles everyday at multiple times, SUCH great staff that will brighten your day and stay, AMAZING facilities that seem to have come to life from your childhood dreams (yes, it's an actual treehouse!), GREAT food, drinks, sunset, howler monkeys that you'll hear everyday and if lucky also spot (I did!), plus fun activities every night. I just loved that place! Went one night, came back the second and even stopped there again a week later. Don't miss it, seriously! P.S.: if you're traveling with a suitcase or heavy backpack, I'd suggest leaving it in Granada because it's a steep 5min hike to get there. The Boca de Boca hostel, where the shuttle stops, will keep your bag safe even if you don't stay there.

(Translated by Google) Very nice hostel, in the middle of nature. Very nice view for the sunset. They offer events and partys during the week, good vibes. What I saw of the facilities were fine: clean dry bathrooms, clean and spacious common spaces, hammocks and mattresses with a nice view. The owner very good wave. Recommendations: bring insect repellent and everything that is going to need food type and others, since you'll be stuck in the middle of the "jungle" and there is no supermarket nearby. Highly recommended!

Such a cool place to stay! We went for 2 nights and stayed one night in a private room and one in a tree house. The jungle rave on a Friday is awesome, the dorms and private rooms are the quietest places to stay if you want to sleep when the party is on. The treehouses are super cool, high up in the jungle with awesome views. The hostel vibe overall is really lovely, with hammocks to chill, good drinks options, and family meals available. The food was delicious! And we saw loads of monkeys! The owners also do a load of work in the local community to help villagers nearby. Shuttles go from their Granada hostel, the Townhouse, every day- look on their website for all the different sleeping options and shuttle times.

Really expensive, one of the worst price-performance ratios in Nicaragua! Expensive meals (you got no other choice), There actually is no treehouse if you book a dorm or a private room. No WiFi, no towels, the toilets have no water, and it stinks like... guess what. SHIT

Such a lovely atmosphere here - best music taste in a hostel I’ve found, all the volunteers and local staff are the best. Loved staying in a rainforest and connecting with nature, especially during Nae’s free morning yoga sessions

Best place I've ever stayed. Had a treehouse with incredible view for a week and being up that high with nothing but the howler monkeys, birds and rest of the forest animals was just magical. Staff were great and they did great projects in the local community. Really adventure and connection to nature is as good as it gets- Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Great place to spend a few days relaxing before a big party on Friday. The staff are really good and interested in you enjoying yourself and keeping you busy as apposed to some other hostels we have spent time. The owner is also really nice and they do some great stuff for the local community.

Don’t usually write reviews, but felt 100% compelled to say that was my favourite party ever yesterday (14th may). Vibe was amazing & the DnB DJ at the end of the night was absolutely crazy. Such an amazing night ❤️

Waited for the final, 2am, shuttle back to Granada last night until 2:30am. SHUTTLE NEVER CAME. Security guards left at least 10 people without a ride home or beds to sleep in. In the morning we were only refunded 50 Córdoba for the shuttle and made to pay for our own taxi back. DON'T GO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET STUCK OUT THERE! Also don't go if you don't want weak, expensive drinks. This place does not care about customer service!!!! We also wrote down out contact info in order to give Treehouse a chance to make it right but have not heard anything from them.

We had an excellent stay. We're not party people so we stayed Tuesday to Thursday. The treehouse rooms are an experience and the normal rooms are absolutely fine. The staff are excellent. The organised activities are well worth getting involved in. A must stay in Nicaragua.

UPDATE: Treehouse has been very responsive to the events and are taking measures to fix this scary situation A warning for anyone that comes to party at this place. My girlfriend’s drink was spiked last night at one of the parties that this establishment hosts. Luckily she was with two of her friends who she trusted and was kept safe. I’m not trying to speak against the establishment because I have never stayed here but If your traveling alone and partying, be careful and take precautions around this area.

Best location hostel I’ve ever stayed in, got to see monkeys and toucans pretty much daily which was super sweet! Staff are friendly and help you out with anything you need. Party was sick which goes without saying, but in general the hostel also has really wholesome vibes:)

I went for lunch with a buddy. They make you pay 25.00 entrance fee but then you get 20.00 to spend ok food and or drink. Tha facilities are gorgeous and be sure to hit the water slide or jump off the waterfall into the pool. The food is top notch and the staff is well trained and ready to assist you in English or Spanish.

This hostel is famous for its insanely good rave on Friday nights but it’s so much more than that!! The place itself is just so beautiful, built on different levels in the middle of the jungle, you’ll literally be perched in the trees with the monkeys! It’s clean and well looked after but more than anything, Treehouse feels like a big family. All the staff, managers and volunteers are SO nice and straight away welcoming. As soon as you arrive you know that it’ll be hard for you to check out because it feels like home. The place is small and so cozy but with enough room for everyone to have their own space. The food is DELICIOUS and cheap, the menu is different every day at every meals. We loved our time there and it was hard for us to say goodbye to this beautiful place and the people who run it and make it so special. One tip though: don’t go there just for the Friday rave. You will want to do the karaoke on thursday and don’t even think about checking out on saturday, hungover day with everyone is so much fun! Thank you Jimmy, Riley, Chris, Kiara, Ellen, Laura, Ivy and Yoav for the unforgettable moments!

I stayed here in 2013 and have received a reply to my post from the new management. This is my original, though older, post on Tripadvisor, along with the management's response. Overall, it was a unique experience, but not for all. ---------------------------- I enjoyed my time at Poste Rojo, but it is definitely not a place for everyone. We took a "shuttle" from a hostel in Granada into the jungle. By "shuttle", I mean one person driving FAR too many people for safety in a small van. Everyone was crammed in with stuff and absolutely no space to breathe. You get to the end of the road and hike up. Hike up a lot. Once there, it is worth it, but it does take some effort to actually get there. Now, if you're looking for sleep, a busy night here will not let that happen. If there is a large crowd, expect a very late, very wild party with lots of drunkenness and possibly some drug problems. If you're looking for a really nice and crazy night of partying late and loud, this is the place because there are no neighbors. Of course, with only a few people, I can imagine this place being a nature paradise. The physical place is amazing with a really cool bridge through the trees. We saw lots of monkeys from the deck, some really quite close. All-in-all, I'd recommend it, but it's good to know that you might not sleep at all and most everyone there will be drunk, but it's fun and the staff/volunteers are awesome. -------------------- Response: Hola and thanks for your review, I realise it was quite sometime ago you stayed here & we never thanked for your feedback! We are also under new management now and have done a lot of work on The Treehouse including thinking about safety concerns. Hopefully if you are back in Nicaragua you can come and see the changes we have made :) all the best - Jon

I had an absolutely fantastic time at the treehouse hostel. The staff were not only helpful and polite, but also very cool people whom were easy to chat and get along with. The entire experience was very magical from listening to the howler monkeys in the far distance whilst participating in sunset yoga to the extremely cool open mic night where anyone could jump up and have a go. Not only was the hostel itself awesome to stay at, but the involvement they have with the local Poste Rojo community was really great to see as well. The quality of life of these people isn’t the best, and to see the treehouse putting resources towards improving this and getting involved in the community was really great to see. We were able to participate in donating toys to the kids and help the kids learn English as well. I think that it’s an awesome thing they are doing and will definitely be heading back one day. Possibly the best highlight of my trip so far

Treehouse Nicaragua was incredible! Perched 250m up a volcano, it offered stunning sunsets, wild jungle vibes, and an epic Friday night party. Vilma’s cooking was top-notch—fresh, healthy, and delicious! She made us feel at home with her warm hospitality. The staff there are all awesome and their English is great for people traveling from other countries. I recommend spending time there and not just heading for the party, but staying for the to enjoy a couple of days in the jungle. Can’t wait to be back! Lots of love, Shagii

Treehouse Nicaragua was everything we hoped for—dancing in the jungle, watching the sunset from the treetops, and meeting incredible people. The Friday night party was the highlight! The volunteers made the place feel so welcoming, and the whole experience was something I won’t forget. Can’t recommend it enough!
