I recently stayed at this hotel for five nights and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. Despite the hotel's convenient location and comfortable accommodations, I consistently returned to my room after touring the surrounding area to find my door open. This made me extremely uneasy and concerned about the safety of my belongings. I brought this issue to the attention of the hotel manager, but was disappointed by his lack of concern for my grievances and his general unfriendliness. I expected more empathy and understanding from the hotel staff, especially given how serious the issue of security is. I was assured by the manager and his staff that this would not happen again, but unfortunately it did. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values safety and security. While the accommodations were comfortable, the repeated breaches of my privacy and security outweighed any positive aspects of my stay. I hope that the hotel takes steps to address this issue and improve their security protocols in the future.

Location for the Grand Canyon is great! Amenities are great, 24h indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, and three restaurants, as well as a sizable gift shop with lots of snacks available. We only stayed one night and didn’t need to even leave the grounds for anything. That part was nice however, the standard room was a little rough. Beds were clean and fairly comfortable. Bathroom floor was dirty and the carpet turned our feet brown. All the chairs had dubious stains on them, we ended up laying our beach towels down on them. Not sure if the nicer rooms are as bad off or not, but they’re in desperate need of either a deep clean or some remodeling. It didn’t affect our stay much, I’d say bring slippers or sandals to wear around the room and you’ll be good. You’re definitely paying more for the extras than the room itself. Also this was kind of circumstantial, the power went out in the whole town and they had no working back up generators. They told us they were “working on” getting them on, but in my opinion, back up generators should be functional at all times. Power remained out until the whole town was restored at about 2:30am at which point it had gotten quite hot in the room. We also weren’t offered any type of discount or compensation because of this, which I felt would have been warranted. We felt overall the situation was not handled well by the staff, but we also recognize that is probably isn’t something that happens often.

This room was a king junior suite, and it certainly delivered on spaciousness and room to move around with a family of four. I really enjoyed the separated bathroom areas that gave privacy for adults and kids when needed. I loved the shower area... huge! Just a couple of things on check-in, like a light bulb not working or sheets and blankets for the pull out bed, but those were quickly taken care of by the staff! Easy access to the Grand Canyon park, literally three miles up the road and the pool and hot tub area were awesome! The hot tub was a bit too hot for my taste, though... but it sure was nice after a day of hiking the rim in the canyon! They also have other great amenities like bowling and an arcade for the kiddos! We stayed away from the hotel restaurant as they were just rated so-so by other travelers, and we had reservations in the canyon for the nights we stayed. Overall, it is a little dated but still worth the visit and stay when the real attraction is the Grand Canyon!

They are in the process of updating all the rooms. The rooms are larger than most, in my experience. There’s an arcade that my kids LOVED and it wasn’t super expensive. There are indoor and outdoor pools/hot tubs that can be used in the winter. Very dog friendly. Up to two dogs up to 80lbs. So super close to the south entrance of the Grand Canyon

Stayed here for one night. The rooms are extremely outdated and need to be upgraded. The lobby restaurant and pool are fine. The restaurants are expensive breakfast is $22 a person and the dinner is fine dining for a family of four it cost almost $300 to have dinner. Both of the pools the water smells like hot mushrooms and you have to take a shower immediately after. They claim those pools are heated but both are freezing cold. However Danielle upon check-in it was very friendly and I appreciated her service. I cannot adequately say the rooms are cleaned thoroughly, as an entire outfit was left by previous guest in the room. Which left the question was the room thoroughly cleaned by housekeeping before arrival? It’s fine for briefs but the tab can quickly add up.

This is a solid hotel just outside Grand Canyon NP. Location is very good. The property is fairly large and so are the rooms. It seemed like the doors closed fast which made it a bit loud early in the morning. Check in was fast and easy. The area for improvement was the restaurant. There’s limited food options in the area and the Coronado room was where we chose. It’s old school in terms of vibe and will take you back to the 80/90’s which I thought was cool. However the food was average at best and over priced. Might check into other dining options.

We came here thinking it would be decent enough as it said it was a four star hotel. But we had one of the worst experience here… with the tiny rooms and our room was right next to an ice machine… people kept taking ice which made us lose our sleep. The room isn’t for people who are claustrophobic… also there isn’t sufficient parking. No breakfast included. Pros : the bathroom was clean. No hassle check in. Location of the hotel is good.

I loved my stay here. I didn’t do a ton of research before booking as it was one of the few places that had availability, but WOW was I surprised. This hotel is truly one of the better things I have accidentally stumbled upon. There is literally something for everybody here. They have two pools, hot tubs, an arcade, bowling alley, pub/bar, sand volleyball, basketball court, EV chargers… it’s impressive. We arrived around 8pm to a very short checkin line. The man working the desk was very friendly and gave us some great advice on parking. After settling into our room, we stopped by the pub to get a few drinks before making our way to the pool. The indoor pool was crowded with families, so we opted for the outdoor pool. I’m not 100% sure but I believe it’s a heated pool. It was comfortable with outdoor temps being in the high 40s. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The one complaint we had was that our shower had run out of shower gel, which they refilled for us. This is one of the closest hotels to the Grand Canyon, and it has a lot to offer. I’d definitely stay here again based on my experience.

This is actually the nicest Best Western we’ve stayed at. I was a little worried by some of the reviews but all I can say is that our experience here was phenomenal. We stayed in the 7000 building and had a two queen bed room. The room was very we’ll accommodated with a small fridge and microwave and the beds were very comfortable. The property itself is great. Two pools, one indoor and one outdoor which is very nice after a long day at the Grand Canyon. You also can’t beat the location. It’s located about a 5-10 minute drive from the south entrance to the Grand Canyon. I will say that you do get charged a 20.00 per night resort fee. I’m indifferent on this one as you do get value out of that with activities, etc. Overall our experience was great especially if you are looking for a high quality stay near the entrance to the Grand Canyon.

It's very close to the Grand Canyon, so that's mostly why we stayed here. We had stayed at another Best Western in Zion, and decided to keep to the same type of hotel. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The indoor and outdoor pools were very nice, and bonus that they're open late. The breakfast buffet was nothing special and not worth $67 for three people. We had free breakfast at another BW, and it was the same quality and selection. Similarly, the hotel restaurant was seemingly fancy looking but dated. Staff was super nice and attentive, but the bill was ridiculous for three people again, and my steak was hard to cut even at mid-rare and with their provided steak knife. Nothing was really seasoned enough. Drinks were fine. Not a bad stay but I was expecting food to be better overall.

Return customer from the area. The pet area rooms leave a lot to be desired. But last time was coming through (December), they looked to be starting a remodle. The main building rooms and 7000 rooms are spacious, and very comfortable. A/C can be a bit tricky, and gives intermittent issues. The other smaller rooms away from the main building are a bit cramped, but for the location and the price you can't beat the value. My only concern is that sometimes cleaning staff can be a bit rushed, and they'll miss things that are pretty obvious. They are quick though to make it right! Last time I was in town it was end of pandemic, so I imagine there were staffing issues that contributed to that. Overall a nice hotel, that has it together.

Stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and it was a great experience. The front desk personnel were friendly, professional and accommodating. Our room was very clean and public areas of the hotel were also very clean. This hotel is outside the South Rim and very convenient for our stay. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. I would have given it a 5 but the breakfast buffet is way overpriced and some of the hot food was cold. Big mistake going there for breakfast.

This is a beautiful hotel, hands down. Perfect location just outside the Grand Canyon State Park. We wondered if it’s an Indigenous owned hotel and in any case there is a strong Indigenous presence there and it was good to see. Some reviewers talk about it being dated but I wouldn’t go that far. It must have been stunning when it first opened. Our room showed a little wear but it felt like part of the charm of the place. We had a huge room and appreciated the table and chairs so much. Plus a desk! You’re lucky if you get one or the other in most places these days. They put in so many nice little touches that you don’t find often, including robes in your room, snacks and water, great coffee machine, and top quality bedding and towels. Our only issue was that we couldn’t quite figure out the thermostat so we were either too hot or too cold. Could be just us but maybe instructions in the room would be helpful. All the staff were great and super helpful. Don’t miss the gift shop because it’s probably the best selection of better sourced and higher quality souvenir items in the area.

We had an okay stay here. The location was perfect and very close to Grand Canyon. Beautiful hotel in itself. We stayed here one night. Breakfast was extra charge but pretty good. The only downside was that there was no shampoo, shower gel or conditioner refilled for the shower.

If you're staying at this hotel, it's most likely because of the close proximity to the grand canyon park entrance, which is just about a mile or so down the road. Beyond that, I can't say it has too much going for it. Rooms are dated and are badly in need of refurbishment. Front desk staff acted confused upon check in and took a long time to find our reservation in the system. Hotel is split into several different buildings, so you'll need to drive to the building you're staying in and hope there's parking nearby. There was one small elevator at the end of a hallway, so if you have luggage, you'll need to wait around for that, unless you like climbing stairs to your room. The hotel restaurant was nothing special and had pretty limited options for dinner. The shrimp tacos were good, but that was the only real memorable dish. At least the servers were friendly. They used to offer a free buffet breakfast with your stay, but that is long gone and it's now a separate charge - $20 per person. Would likely only go back here if it happened to turn up as the cheapest option or everything else was already booked.

This was quite a surprise to find right outside the Grand Canyon entrance - we called it an oasis, and it felt like that! The outdoor pool area is nice, connected to an indoor pool, and has a bar right there. We ate down in the pub which was quick and yummy, and spent some time at the arcade! Rooms were clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and cable TV. Breakfast buffet was worth it for the amount of food you get. Definitely recommend for travelers coming to the Grand Canyon!

We’ve had a horrible experience here, hands down worst service that we’ve received at a 4 star hotel. Rooms were amazing, the bed was extremely comfortable and cozy. The price for what you get is good and reasonable, because of the location and rooms. However, do not eat or drink here, the staff is horrible, extremely rude and don’t really have any interest doing their job. I hope this helps, I was trying to be as fair as I looked at the hotel from a holistic approach.

We loved this hotel. The rooms are big and clean. S'mores at night for free, coffee and hot coco as well. The hot tub outside was fun and we did cold dips in the pool- awesome. The restaurant and bar are nothing to write home about. There are not many options so, you kinda stuck unless you want to drive.. The Arcade was fun- our kids are almost adults but they still had fun using up the cash the hotel gives per room.

My adult children and I stayed here last year on our trip to the Grand Canyon (June). The hotel was was nice. The rooms do need a little updating but all in all, they were fine. The bathrooms (showers) were the main areas that needed upgrading. We only ate at the hotel once for breakfast. There was a buffet and it was just okay. The pools, both indoor and out, are very nice and are kept very clean. They have smores at night by the firepits which was really nice after a day of hiking. The location is great. Very close to the park entrance and within walking distance to the local restaurants. Parking was never an issue because there is ample space. I would stay here again if in the area and recommend.

This hotel is amazing! I've stayed at. Many 5 star resorts and hotels and tended to be picky about where I stay. My husband, myself, and our 2 dogs stayed in their basic room and it was great. The room even included a spa tub. The restaurant was fantastic and they had complimentary smores by the fire side! I can't say enough good things about our experience!

Great location. The cost is higher than usual but so are other surrounding hotels. This hotel has it all including a bowling alley and many other amenities including a very good restaurant. You should absolutely do the 45 minute helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon which they will arrange, we’ll worth the money/spectacular. The helicopter pad is a mile away. The staff was top notch.

We stayed for a night during our Grand Canyon South rim trip. By far one of the best hotels to stay in the Grand Canyon village. The hotel ambience is good. The check in process was easy. The rooms were so neat and clean. We stayed at a room in lower level ( oversized queen). Bathroom was very outdated. I would definitely recommend this hotel for staying in Grand Canyon village.

This is a large complex with multiple buildings. I stayed in the main building lower level. Building is older, but my room was nicely updated. Very clean, comfortable bed, most important. Breakfast was excellent, would go there for breakfast if I lived in the area. Staff was warm, you could feel the good energy in the people. Planning on staying again.

Everything about this place is a yes from me. The bed & pillows are beyond comfortable. Everything is clean. They have 2 restaurants on site if you dont want to get back out. 2 heated pools, 2 hot tubs. A 24 hour arcade which they give you a free $5 prepaid card to use + even had a bowling alley.

Booked a room here at Squire for 1 night while my family and I are visiting the Grand Canyon. First off the highlights are many, the exterior is hard to miss, a big enough sign to show where the location is. Upon walking inside the lobby is gorgeous! Reception is fast and detailed when checking you in. The gaming lobby is cool, but not much to talk about. This hotel is definitely more for grown ups than family with young children. There’s a billiards room, a bowling center, and a pub. It’s quite nice and gives you quite a bit to do in the night time. Now the negatives of my experience. It’s only about the room we got. Maybe it was just bad luck but the AC unit in the room had a loose panel. So the giant sheet of metal fell out slammed on the floor kicking up dust. It was disgusting and a serious safety issue. Luckily my kids were occupied on their iPads so no injury occurred. All in it was a cool experience but the room situation is a 2 star deduction. Still overall 3 star is a good average and this place could receive more if they work out the small kinks

Easy checkin/out. Great parking. Great pool area. Stayed in newest building, super clean and big room. Great service. Nice Xmas decorations. No breakfast included though. And the pub dining option was crowded with only one guy working, so we ate somewhere else.

The location of this property is unparalleled and taking that into account it's a very decent hotel. Anywhere else I'd say the experience would be a bit underwhelming considering the price tag. When you find a good deal and are not interested in the long commute to Williams you should probably stay here, but don't expect a five star experience. Breakfast is a very basic buffet with thin coffee. The quality of the items if fine though and for (American) standards not too bad. Definitely one of the better choices on the immediate neighborhood. If you're vegan you're stuck with a variety of cut fruits and plain bread. Meat eaters might enjoy the very good bacon. I'd probably come again, but I won't make it a priority.

Older hotel but amazing shape. Everything about it was top drawer. Close to everything needed and a very short drive to the park entrance. Rooms larger than most, all amenities. Has fridge, coffee maker, safe and nice led televisions. Restaurants very close by.

102 out the past few days. Multiple rooms with inadequate Air Conditioning for at least 3 days. Thermostat set to 65, the coolest it got in the room mid day was a humid 78-80. Some tech came and put on a dog & pony show with no resolve. Total fail on customer advocacy. Front desk didn’t really care with lack of communication as others complained as well. Arrived disappointed and leaving disappointed. No excuse for this. To call this place a resort is a joke. Would not recommend during the summer.

This place was perfect for families. They have two restaurants, one upstairs that’s a little more upscale and one downstairs that’s more affordable with great pizza. They have an outdoor pool and offer s’mores by the fire pits. My kids enjoyed the indoor heated pool and hot tub while they watched Ratatouille on the big screen. They also have an arcade and bowling alley. There’s a lot of activities for kids. They do offer two free refillable water bottles and free Starbucks quick service coffee. I rated it a 4 because upon check-in they upgraded my room for free, but then downgraded me once they saw I was traveling with my dog. They also said they charge $20 per person for breakfast and it is not included. There aren’t a whole lot of options around for breakfast, but thankfully there was a Starbucks in town.

  • 5/5 Big L. 8 months ago on Google
So this was a really good hotel, adults and children alike liked it. That games outdoors, s'mores outdoors at night, two very large pools (recommend the outdoor pool), a real hot exterior hot tub, friendly staff, and probably the most enjoyable thing to the children was the arcade and bowling alley. They were able to accommodate our family of five with an additional bed in one of the rooms and there was plenty of room. This is a 10 out of 10 recommendation because of how close it is to everything in town and how accommodating it is.

  • 5/5 D M. 9 months ago on Google
Great place to stay just outside of the Grand Canyon south rim. The amenities are awesome. The place could use some updating, especially the huge garden tubs in the rooms that feel like you’re climbing into a mini Grand Canyon when all you want to do is take a shower, but overall an excellent place to stay. 👍🏻🙂👏

We had two rooms booked along with 20 dollar restaurant credit. First when we reached, they couldn’t find our reservations. The guy who was helping us was taken back by manager for i guess scolding. The manager instead should have helped us. But no it didn’t happen. They took good 35-40 minutes and we checked in . When i went to the room i realized they didn’t give us dining credit of. 20 dollar per room. I ran back from my building to main building which was quite a walk in hot sun to get the credit, finally i found a helpful friendly staff who helped me. I have stayed at his multiple times with the recent most visit in July 2023. The hotel service and quality has gone downhill since 2014. It is sad to see this.

I really enjoyed staying here. It's in a beautiful area, near the Grand Canyon. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast. There is a game room and a bowling alley. I did not get a chance to use the bowling alley since our stay wasn't that long but that is a great option. I enjoyed the room and the jacuzzi. It was very enjoyable, I would recommend.

A Best Western with Resort class accommodations. This family-friendly hotel is excellently designed with a good attentive staff. From check-in, the friendly staff will explain all the amenities available. The rooms are clean and up-to-date. Towels are decently fluffy and daytime hours will have a concierge available to answer those touristy questions. A fancy Starbucks dispensing machine is located next to the Check-in desk along with self-service tea is available 24 hours. Deluxe and Suite rooms will put you in the main building that makes your stay ultra-convenient for access to the pools, arcade, gift shop, and onsite dining. Breakfast is inclusive like other Best Western hotels, but the Squire takes it up a level with a bigger selection of items in their Buffet. The scrambled eggs are real eggs and table service is standard. Non-guest can also dine with a $20 fee. The Arcade has a real bowling alley, video game machines, and 3/4 size pool tables. The pool area is relaxing with both indoor and outdoor pools. A bar is also open during certain hours to accommodate the relaxing resort atmosphere. A gym is also available for those who wish to maintain themselves on vacation.

We spent two nights at this hotel, conveniently located near the Grand Canyon and in close proximity to various shops and restaurants. Our stay was in building 3000. The room itself was decent, but the carpet and the coffee machine were noticeably in need of a thorough cleaning. Additionally, there was an off-putting odor in the room. Overall, the hotel has potential, but the rooms, carpets, and amenities like the coffee machine specifically require attention and improvement.

Great location just a few mins from the Canyon park.. Close to other restaurants and bars. The room was clean. I did not appreciate the "resort fee" for services that I would not be using on my one night stay. They say that your fee is for a free shuttle to the canyon but they do not explain that the free shuttle is a public bus that runs to the canyon and anyone even non hotel guest can use to get to the canyon as long as they have a ticket to enter the canyon. Instead of charging me for something I will not use, how about you charge extra for those who want to use your gym and pool..
