Camber is an excellent facility that takes extra consideration into the specific needs of their clients and takes the steps necessary to create individualized plans to help each client and family they work with!

KVC Hays does an excellent job of caring for the clients from every aspect of health!! KVC Hays Staff is so friendly and kind, always going above and beyond for each kiddo and family. I have seen first hand the work these people put into ensuring the success of the "forgotten" kiddos, without shame, the kiddos who need these supports the most. KVC Hays is unique in terms of providing exceptional quality of care, the staff are well educated and dedicated to the work they do. Your child is more than a client or a number, they are a person who is seen, heard, and loved. KVC Hays ensures your child, and every child receives this. Exceptional work, from exceptional people!

Very well put together and enjoyable webinar series. I definitely appreciate the convenience of participating virtually and having the session broken into two sessions.

This place is below average. From my own personal experience, the facility and staff need a major overhaul. Staff can be, at times, not well informed and policies are not written so you hear many things from many people. This makes it hard to know what the policy is because you hear one thing from one staff and something else from another staff. Heard rumors of staff putting kids in headlocks, chokeholds, or even restraints when they were acting up. To the extent of which this is true could be exaggerated. We were not allowed to go into the actual facility to visit our kids room either. We could only go as far as the lobby. Every time we called, the staff would tell us the floor is "chaotic." They never wanted to explain to us what "chaotic" meant but in the background, you could hear kids cussing, arguing, and shouting. In the event something did happen and escalation was needed, the staff did not have management numbers on hand. You would have to call other KVCs to get contact information for upper management.

Honestly don't come here I was admitted years ago and if your kid get's out of control, they won't hesitate to pull out a needle and sedate you. It happened to me, and I was only 9 or 10, this was around 5 years ago. I never was in the PRTF, only the weekly stays. I was sent there multiple times. And anyways they don't really help you they play games, and do little group therapy activities that felt more like playing then actual therapy don't trust any KVC institutions. They rely on medication and tv to keep us preoccupied. I went to a great place in Kansas City called Kids TLC, if your kid needs a PRTF stay this is the place. It's like a campus. They have a school building, different areas for kids under 12, so then if anything get's violent a kid won't get seriously injured if staff somehow can't stop them. Your kid will start going on outings to fun places if they do well and restrictions will lessen as they progress through their stay. Also KVC don't ask me to call you about my stay I have no intention of interacting with you people.

Professional staff addressed all our concerns. Our child felt safe and cared for. She says the food was good and she enjoyed art therapy. Our daughter said staff gave lots of tools for avoiding self-harm and other self-destructive behavior. It was a positive experience for her.

My experience has been as a professional working with KVC in Hays. The Clinical Director, Sarah Berens, has been extremely helpful when I have had clients in need of possible hospitalization. She has helped provide me with information, which I was able to share with my clients and their parents regarding KVC and their services. I appreciate the collaboration with the agency as well. KVC Hospital in Hays is a great asset and resource for Northwest Kansas.

The staff is great! They are friendly, from the front desk and administration to the nurses and Docs. I know several kids who had their lives transformed by KVC. Hays is fortunate to have KVC!

My child needed to come here to get stabilized, needing med change and family therapy. The staff who answered the phone were so kind and were very patient!!! That was needed and helped my family so much. Excellent communication and that was appreciated.
