I trained at Gold Summit from 2008-2009 but had to cut training short due to a car accident. However my time there was the best I've ever spent. This is somewhere that will teach you how to change your life through martial arts discipline. It is well rounded and brings you back down to earth. I definitely would love to go back to train there as I there has been nothing else in my life that has made me feel better mentally, physically, or spiritually.

I've taken the Iron Fist Boxing (IFB) kickboxing class here, and have to say it is a blast. This isn't your DVD-special "Kickboxercise" class, but the real deal, packaged in one heck of a workout. I've never seen a workout or Martial arts place with such a friendly and supportive atmosphere, as opposed to a competitive, hierarchical one. The timed solo and pair drills that make up a large portion of the IFB class mean you work as hard as you personally are willing, so everyone from those in shape to those not quite so in shape (myself included) can all work at a pace challenging to them. The focus of personal improvement gives one an open-ended goal that got me eating healthier and working out more even outside of class, as I wanted to improve myself so I could do better. All in all, I feel I can safely recommend this establishment to anyone looking to better themselves, either in terms of skills or general physique. The inviting atmosphere makes it easy to start out, and perhaps you'll get hooked like I did. Enjoy!

When I came to Gold summit 4 and a half years ago, I came looking for a fun program to get into better shape. I had trained in krav maga for about a year and thought I had a good base for starting a martial arts program with alittle more substance. A few things happened very quickly after that, first I realized I didn't know as much as I thought I did.. second I learned that this is the place to change that. Master Markle and the other instructors give me a challenge with every class and teach in a way that has reshaped the way I think about martial arts. Within the first 6 months I felt a change in my health, and over the course of the following years I have reached by far the healthiest mentally and physically I have ever been. The training is top notch, and to be honest nothing else in the area really campares. It is a professional environment with the heart and soul of a traditional Kung Fu school. The instructors are heavily invested in helping you reach your goals. Wether that be just getting in good health, or learning the art and philosophy that's at the heart of the style. It is a truly unique school, and has a place in it's programs for anyone willing to learn.

The Golden Summit Martial Arts Institute is the best overall school I have seen in Buffalo, NY. If you are looking for but not only a great martial arts school, they also offer a great deal in nutrition along side a healthy lifestyle, self defense and cultural classic arts. With a sense of community and responsibility it is a very well balanced school with a well versed instructor. Id like to add that I am not a student here but rather an instructor from another school in China. I agree with the practices and traditions of this institute.

When I started taking tai chi classes at Gold Summit, I was slightly overweight and depressed. In the two years I’ve trained here, I’ve gone off my medication, lost and kept off 50 lbs., and learned some life changing lessons. I am currently a student in both the tai chi and Kung fu classes. The training is all traditional Chinese martial arts, and the integrity is never compromised. I was quite intimidated at first, especially practicing splits. However, everyone here, young or old, flexible or inflexible, is encouraged to practice in a way that fits their needs and goals. Master Markle and the instructors keenly watch everyone’s progress and sincerely care about our improvements as students. The classes eased me slowly into building my foundation in a safe environment that helped me push my potential. Outside of class, the supportive atmosphere, the cultural immersion, and the focus on tea, healthy meals, and lifestyle habits have helped me make better decisions in my daily life. The gains I’ve made are unimaginable to the person I was two years ago, and I recommend Gold Summit wholeheartedly.

I googled kung fu schools and found gold summit. When i first walked in i noticed the school was very respectful and organized. After completing the trial i could tell that the teachers were very knowledgeable about the class and worked with the newer students to understand and be able to learn. After over 7 years of training with them I can say that they have changed my health for the better through martial arts. I appreciate the high standard because when you learn from them you can certainly see you've learning something of value. Since i began training my arthritis has improved to the point where i don't normally feel pain any more. I have learned a lot about living a healthier life and am grateful for the teachings i have received. I can not recommend this institute enough because no matter your background, skill level or even if you health issues like I do something can definitely be gained from training here.

Both of my children are students at Gold Summit and we could not be happier with their programs. They are one of very few martial arts studios that take on 3 year olds, and, I would wager, the ONLY one at which the young children's instructor is not only skilled in Kung fu, but has an M.Ed. in early childhood education. Laoshi Markle is incredibly knowledgable and approachable, and makes herself available to students and parents when need be. There are no belts, no meaningless "tests", just solid Kung fu instruction in exactly the atmosphere one would want. We plan to be with Gold Summit for many years.

My granddaughter has been training with this program for 10 years and she loves it! It is an amazing opportunity to meet new people and learn many things such as Tai chi and many other interesting things! I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to improve their mental health or to just have fun and train! All the teachers are so nice (and so are the students of course!)! 500% recommend πŸ‘Œ
