Dawn is fantastic! Went there after 6am and that girl can cook a very good breakfast!! I'll definitely go back when I get off work at those early morning hours!!!

I was in Grand Island visiting friends over Labor day weekend. On Sunday nite, we all decided we wanted food & drinks, so we headed to the white horse...it was my first time there. We walked in & Jill the bartender/cook, said she would turn the fryers & grill back on for us, So we could eat.. did i mention that there was 8 of us... Jill handled everything with kindness & professionalism. Our food was served quickly & was Delicious... We stayed and had drinks, while Jill continued to serve us with a smile... I love this place.... I will be sure to stop in every time I am visiting Grand Island. Thanx for a great nite out with friends!

Very nice people and good food

So I have only been in gi for about half a year now so I thought I could deal with this bar because my family has been going here for two generations. But unfortunately tonight was the last straw for me to keep trying to go here. Unfortunately for some reason this bar has music that the bar will not let you play. So I don't understand why it is even on the jukebox. Unfortunately they let you waste your hard earned money to play music just to change it dude to the owner having tiny heart syndrome. Yes I understand that the bar is a privately owned business and the owner can put in effect any rules they wish. But if a certain word is not allowed to be played in the bar it should be removed from the juke box. I really did try to give this bar a shot but unfortunately the environment is not welcoming at all. I did try to give this bar a shot I did. But to not allow people to play music with the f word is pretty ridiculous. Especially when they have junkies cleaning the bar at the end of the night. So I will no longer come to this bar at all. They have lost my business permanently. If your out to have a good time this is truly not the place you need to spend your money. I don't like writing reviews on places but I am fed up with the petty rules of this establishment. It is what it is times have changed and its time to get with the times if you want business it's best to not have tiny heart syndrome and just get over it. I'm sorry but it's not the 1950s anymore grow with the times and just get over it. So yeah in short if you want to go somewhere and have people give you dirty looks and make you feel unwelcome this is definitely the place for you. But as for me I will never in my life spend another cent at this bar.

Salt-of-the-earth people! More than reasonable prices. Great place to get to know the regulars in this town.

We took our sons girlfriend for a drink on her 21st b-day nice pool tables and outside area the food specials on the days they have them are worth trying out if you havent.

Great food served all day. Free pool on Tuesdays and always bring in different food. Also they have $1.50 tacos in the first Friday of every month. They carry my favorite soup lobster bisque for only $4.00 a bowl. They have $2.00 mystery shots and are always creating tasty new drinks.

If you want the best Hamburger in town an Krinkle Cut Fries I'ma just say this is the place. Service is also Amazing as well!!!!!

Went here to old white horse with family as a kid. My Dad helped put The White horse on top of old place. So going there even in New building brings back memories of family food is great customer service is great. Quiet easy comfortable atmosphere. Plus the have shuffleboard

The white horse has been in gi for years. Great service and beer. Food was great. I give 4 stars because unfortunately, they have been there for years, and so has everything about it. I wish they would update the digs.

I come here a few times a month for after work beers. Food is really good and atmosphere is pretty nice.

Used to be on a league team there years ago. The owner, Gary had a bar que that was seriously warped and he could run the table on you with it.

Always a great place to go and enjoy a drink. Great service and good atmosphere.
