We LOVE Coney Island! The food and service are ridiculously consistent. Eat in or take it all the way back home, you’ll be happy you did.

The tradition continues. I was here with my grandparents and parents and I get to take my kids here. George knows my entire family and asks about them every time. Wonderful food, even better people!!

Just happened across this delightful little eatery while visiting Grand Island and I must say my lunch there with my son and daughter in law was the highlight of our shirt stay. The folks there couldn't have been nicer, including the proprietor whose grandparents started the business way back in 1933. The chili and Coney dog I ate were first rate. Be sure you drop in if you're in the neighborhood.

Terrible service. Owner was so extremely rude and the place wasn’t clean. It was sticky and the owner didn’t wash his hands after using the restroom. Was very short answered and EXTREMELY rude. He sighed and scoffed at me and had a problem with making food an HOUR before closing.

Old school cafe with delicious Coney Island style chili dogs and shakes made by hand the old fashioned way. Decent prices! Old menu displayed on the wall takes you back a few decades with a price for hot dogs...15 cents! Managed to stay open during all the craziness over the last couple of years!

First time here, but will be back! Loved the atmosphere and history of the place. Very busy, but food served quickly and staff very friendly. Had the coney dog and fries! Awesome....

Hot dog was nice, fresh onions...salted caramel wrapped brownie just ok. Peach pie nice, mainly crust, some filling. Gentleman greeted and then got back for order prep. Check out and go.

Awesome Coney dogs! Drove down from Omaha when we found out they made real coneys. Worth the trip! We will be coming down again. Chocolate malt was good too.

Old world style hotdog stand. Been around since the early 30's. Staff was friendly and kind. The service was great. Atmosphere is very nostalgic, from bygone era. I had the chili, which I would say could have used more flavoring, but my own personal opinion. A co worker had the coney dog fully loaded and said it was delicious. So will definitely try that next time around.

We love lunch here! The kindest and best staff anywhere in GI!! We often get a guard of coney sauce to go too!

This was an interesting pit stop, the burger was average and the shoestring fries were pretty good. My friend had the scrambled eggs which were thrown together and a bit dry. The bacon was super greasy and crispy.

Noodles over done. Fries were good. Do not put dressing on salad unless you ask. Otherwise salad was good. Service eas bossy and looked mad at srrving customers. Meat a little bit fatty.

Love, love, love the coney! This is a busy lunch room first opened in 1923. It still has a 1933 menu up on display. Sit in a few booths or at the counter. I would recommend getting 2 coneys, french fries, and a chocolate malt.

Everything about this place is stuck in time and I wouldn't want it any other way. Great food that has never changed, malts that a beyond amazing and an owner that remembers customers even if they haven't been around for a few years. I never miss a chance to eat here when I am in town.

George, the owner, is such a great guy. He runs the business very well and is kind. All of this on top of some amazing food at the best price you'll find anywhere. Definitely try the fries, the coneys, the burgers. Heck, try it all!

Amazing Coney dogs and chili. I eat here every Saturday. Love the food and the owner is an awesome guy. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend!!!

One of the worst places I’ve been to here in GI. Was the first time and the last time I have gone or will go to. The owner didn’t greet us when we walked into the restaurant. Apparently reading the newspaper was more important. The “waitress”?, was not personable at all! The hot dog was very hard, didn’t look cooked. The buns were probably store brand, like walmart - it just fell apart. They don’t serve their sink water with ice! Just an all around under horrible experience. I don’t know how this place stays open

Stopped here for the Nebraska passport. Guy acted like stamping the passport was a huge inconvenience to him. If I’m not wrong, these places apply to be part of the passport. Why act that way? Figured we’d get lunch there too. Wish we’d went anywhere else tbh. Tried to call ahead but that was not successful as the guy didn’t want to talk and gave short, one worded replies and then hung up. I walk in and he yells “you call?” to me. I confirmed it was me. He slopped our inedible soggy fries and greasy dogs in a sack and tossed the bag on the counter. Sh***y service and even worse food. Most of it went into a trashcan at a local park. Big let down and bad vibe added to the afternoon.

This a wonderful place that we visit when I was little. Love going back. Coney's, extra crispy fries and strawberry shake!! All is good.

Classic old-tme diner. Best French fries anywhere...period. George personally assembles each coney dog, topped with his secret sauce. I never go to Grand Island without stopping in.

George is a great guy, always personalizes your experience here. The malts are amazing, the coney dogs are to die for. And the home made fries are the best. Make sure you stop here!!!

All American Chilli Dog and Hamburger Café. Great food, friendly staff and they have their original menu from 1933 on the wall. Love this place, hope it's around for another 100 yrs.

The owner is nice but that is the only redeeming quality. The rest of the staff is rude. The hot dogs are average with soggy buns. The fries are greasy and unseasoned. I’m very disappointed. Spend your money elsewhere.

Never had a bad experience here. Excellent food and gets ya back to a nostalgic place. Love it when we get chance to dine there. Everyone is friendly and is very upbeat. If ya get the chance, you absolutely have to try eating here. It may be a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Chocolate malts also a definite must
