First, I need to share what happened at Wasabi Bistro that lead to this amazing experience at Fuji's... At Wasabi, we stood in the waiting area for more than 5 minutes and watched employees walk right passed us. They looked right at us. We even said hello to two of them the third time they passed and nothing. Not a hello or be with you in a minute. Nothing even after we looked one straight in the face and said hello. So, I suggested going to Fuji's. SAVED THE DAY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! We were met at the door with the host full of enthusiasm and energy and ready to be of service. The server was the exact same way. She gave us her suggestions, checked back continuously, and made sure we felt like we were wanted there. The food was awesome! Highly recommend the Black Dragon sushi. But the whole experience is just good whenever I am there. Always positive energy. Will keep coming back!

So my grandparents, my mother, and I all went to this hibachi place to celebrate some good grades of mine. The waiter inquired on what the celebration was about and we told him. He later came back after bringing us our food and set down a plate with whipped cream written out in an A+ to represent my good grades. This waiter went out of his way to bring me this and I was so appreciative and astounded at his kindness. I highly recommend coming to this charming spot for any occasion. Thank you so much for making my day brighter. The waiters name was Ariel. Please, give this man a raise.

I was so surprised to see that there was a teppanyaki restaurant in grand island. So I took my team there for dinner one night. We all had a great time. It really comes down to the chef when you are at a place like this and our chef was great.

Went here for 29th anniversary. The hostess and the cook were both very nice and friendly, the ingredients to the meal were fresh and after the cook had prepared them in front of us with his little show, tasted wonderful. The cut of beef was excellent and the portion was large enough, I couldn't finish it all. I will add that we had sushi for an appetizer and when it came it was noticeably fresh and had NOT been sitting around and was mouth-watering. Well worth the money and visit.

Used to be fantastic but now is totally a ripoff. For the last year the sushi rolls have gotten smaller and smaller and now they’re to the point that they’re basically bite sized mini rolls. 4 rolls fit in one small container with a LOT of room left over and a large order of rice used to be a takeout container full but now a large is a small dish of rice that can’t even feed one person. I eat sushi often and 1 roll from most restaurants is equal to at least 2 1/2 rolls from fuji. I spent 32$ dollars on 4 rolls and a large fried rice but it wasn’t even enough to feed one person. Not to mention to flavor is just non existent. I used to love this place and I’ve given it so many chances the last year and finally I’m giving up on it. (I forgot to take a picture before eating the rest)

I’ve been to some of the best sushi restaurants along the east coast and this has become very expensive gas station sushi. It used to be priced more fairly for the product offered which made it an acceptable Americanized substitute for authentic Japanese food. They no longer even spring for quality soy sauce. It’s really sad to see the taste and quality suffer as it was the only other sushi place in town. And literally only hibachi place. The salmon is now dry, they add iceberg to the seaweed salad they don’t soak it long enough, the hibachi veggies are now sadder and more lackluster than ever. I’d rather cook hibachi at home and buy “sushi” at Hy-Vee. Same quality better price. Hard pass from now on and my recommendation is that you pass too.

There was a fly cooked into my steak and my son's broccoli literally had maggots cooked in it disgusting 😤 my husband paid and waited 30 minutes for his drink! We told the waiter about it and still never came back so we just left ! NEVER will we go back there just for the bugs alone in our food! Disgusting!

Food and service were great until we got our bill...my family and I went this evening for my parent's anniversary. It was me, my husband, our 3 year old child, my brother, and my parents which I guess is technically a party of 6. We were charged a 15% "service charge" of $26.00 for being a party of 6 and sitting in the dining area. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't ever remember being charged a "service fee" for sitting at the hibachi with a big party and when did it change from a party of 8 or more to 6? Looks like we'll be going somewhere else from now on for our sushi.

The food and the service was great. However, the underside of the hibachi table we were at was filthy. There was gum and some other stick substance all over. The hibachi proportions were not even at all. At the beginning the chef asked if it was anyone’s birthday, and he didn’t hear or see me (which is totally fine!) but he gave a lot of “extra” food to the other two people who were also there celebrating their birthday at our table. So I actually ended up getting the smallest portions of anyone because I was at the end of the table and he was giving extra to other birthday people. The food was good but I just wish everyone would have gotten an even among.

One of my favorite restaurants. Today my husband and I went for lunch. Even though it was super busy the server apologized ahead of time if things took a little longer. She was really nice and very attentive the whole time. Our drinks and food were out in a timely manner as well. So shout out to Shandra for the great service, Thank you!

I greatly enjoyed the sushi they had. They have a happy hour in which some of the sushi was on there. I really liked all the items on the sample platter.

Food is always great amazing hibachi… the service is sometimes awful. The manager walks around like her shh don’t stink and she is way too bossy

Brought my sister in law and nephews here since they were visiting from Fargo and had never been to hibachi. I've been here multiple times and this is the first time it hasn't been fun and entertaining. The cook didn't do ANYTHING. He lit the fire and said "let's go!" And then after that nothing. No onion choo choo, no egg tricks, no jokes, no spraying with the fake squeeze bottles. He didn't even talk or joke. And yes, the food was good, great even, as usual, but it was BORING and disappointing. The waitresses apologized and gave us free dessert but honestly it didn't help. I'm really mad that the cook would do that when there were kids at the table. I brought them there on purpose and had been talking it up all afternoon. They ended up standing at a different near by table and watching the other cook do tricks.

Great atmosphere and excellent cook! We did the hibachi grill and it never disappoints. The shrimp were big and tasted fresh. Big selection of sushi. Happy hour menu was big and had decent savings on sushi.

Traveling thru NE, saying in Grand Island, this place was recommended by a local. Wow. It was horrible. Right from all the sourpuss faces we were greeted with. Maybe the folks that work here are not happy with their employer? My husband and I ordered the hibachi dinner teriyaki steak. It came with salad (iceberg lettuce swimming in a pool of very watery thousand island type dressing), slightly warm onion soup that we sent back with a request for hot soup, and we got more of the same. The meal also included fried rice and mixed vegetables. The meat was freshly cooked for us and as ordered, medium rare for me and rare for my husband. The other sides appeared to have been scooped from precooked pots rather than freshly made to order. I preserves a margarita on the rocks and I could only taste really cheap awful sour mix. It was terrible. My husband ordered a tequila and tonic but he got flat tonic added to the awful sour mix. We like to try local places rather than eat at the chain restaurants. In Grand Islans, you may want to stick with the chains.

We are habachi yesterday and I have a major seafood allergy so they cook my food in the kitchen so it’s not cross contaminated. We’ll long story short my plate of food was served to another customer and my server took that plate of food that was eaten off of and served it to me! At the end as I was already furious the manager took my food off our ticket and then put it on the other customers ticket! THIS WAS NOT THE CUSTOMERS FAULT IT WAS OUR SERVER PERLAS FAULT!!! And to top it off PERLA WAS TALKING ABOUT ROLLING BLUNTS WITH HER BOSS WHEN I WAS COMING UP TO MAKE A COMPLAINT!!!! This place needs to have better training! On a side note our cook was great!

Great food, however they put way to many people at a table for the hibachi. Customers should be able to have elbow room and not have to worry about a random stranger breathing on their food..

I have eaten well at this place a few times but the last time I did the food was salty and it took forever to get served

Best food in town! I love it and plan on keep coming back! Can't get enough! My kids enjoyed their laser room which was a little odd but overall the atmosphere was solid!

First time ever trying Sushi and I definitely chose the right place. Great atmosphere, super clean, and superior staff. The food was delicious and the drinks were wonderful!! Best service I have ever had in Grand Island. Would definitely recommend!

The wait staff are always friendly. If you go at the right time of day, food will come out quickly and fresh. Sometimes you have to wait a little, but that’s okay. Food is typically fresh and good-tasting! A place I enjoy eating at.

Amazing atmosphere, awesome service, and the food is the best! The chefs are a riot when you get a party and they know how to have fun!

The Hibachi dinner was great with excellent food with generous portions and an entertaining chef. They are many meat options and combinations. For just $9 you can also share the meat and get a full portion of everything else. We would definitely go back. We were on a long road trip but this restaurant and the excellent Sleep Inn hotel are worth driving a few miles off the highway. We also enjoy the Hibachi experience of talking with strangers.
