My husband and I stopped in Grand Island, NE, as our 'half way point' between Minnesota and Colorado road trip and found this great little restaurant. We ordered the chimichanga (pork carnitas) and burrito (chicken) at the counter and they called our number when it was ready. The beans were the best we have ever had and the food was AMAZING. Plus, there is a salsa bar (different types of salsa, pico, limes, etc.) and freshly made tortilla chips. Their 'chip salsa' (labeled that way at the bar) and pico was seriously so good. They were definitely fresh and you can enjoy as much, or as little, as you like! I would literally drive out of my way to stop here again.

I came across this place in November 2021, by Google search. It's my second time here. It's very delicious. My husband loves it as well. There tamales are delicious and a great size but I would like more meat filling to masa, since the masa is so thick and little bit of meat. Our 15 month old is barley eating table food and he loves the beans.. which they are delicious! Portions are big and I'm always full and have leftovers which I love. Great food and prices are good!

We tried the chicken chimichanga dinner and hard shell taco dinner. Lots of delicious food, great prices!

Adolfo runs a great multifaceted business. The restaurant is clean, the food is fresh, the store has a great variety of items, and the Tortillas!!! Are the best. Wish they still had the huge 15in half cooked ones

5 stars for Mexican food in Grand Island, yum!! Portions are big and I always leave stuffed!! Mexican music reminds me of my Grandma and Grandpas place as do the beans!! Only barrier can be language when ordering but they are patient here and willing to take their time to work through it, do the same and you will be fine!!! My favorite Mexican food in Grand Island!!!

Food was authentic and absolutely delicious. I especially liked the salsa bar. It gave us a chance to try everything and familiarize ourselves with what each sauce is.

Got new people in the kitchen and honestly the food just doesn't taste the same as it did before... Used to eat here every other day. I'ma have to stick with other restaurants from now on.

Dry rice, oily meat or natural fat, but the salsas have good flavor some are very spicy, tortilla chips are fresh every day with just the exactly amaount of salt for my taste and price menu is not high according with the servings.

They have the best tortillas in town and can purchased at any of the stores. They have the best frioles around and are very generous to cater ur needs for them. Not to mention their salsa bar is just to die for, with all your toppings as well!

Dine in or get it to go. Friendly staff, Good authentic mexican food. Very nice size portions for the price. The menudo is delicious! Their store is right next door. I do recommend this place to all my friends.

Excellent salsa bar! Aamof the best salsa bar I've been to so far in Nebraska. Solid asada tacos & plenty of seating. Can't ask for much more than that from a Midwest Mexican restaurant 👍

Being from California and having the best Mexican food out there i must say this restaurant here in Grand Island, NE reminds me of home. good Carne Asada Burritos the arroz (rice) is amazing and the frijoles(beans) is amazing. def would recommend coming here.

The food is good once you do get seated after ordering. The line can get pretty long, but, with delicious menu items, people wait to get in here.

Food is great, the best rice & beans I have ever had. Only downfall is the cashier and people who work there seem to be annoyed with me just ordering. They always give me looks that aren't nice or friendly at all but will act normal to people next in line. No idea why they're this way but the people who use to work there were great and never did this.

These folks are by far the best authentic mexican restaurant in grand island. They are very friendly and helpful, the language might be a small hurdle but they have english-speaking employees too. Delicious food for all your tastes!!

The food is great and they give you generous portions for a fair price. Definitely recommend the tamales
