This hotel packed quite a pleasant surprise when we walked in... The room was much bigger than expected and had a separate living room/entertaining area away from the sleeping area. The furniture was decent and the whole room was inviting to weary travellers after a 13hr day on the road. The only part of our experience that was unpleasant was the distance from the highway to the hotel. Late at night, it seemed MUCH further than it did after we were fully rested. Other plusses include a Starbucks nearby and should you need it, a home depot in the same Plaza. If you're passing by, this spot is worth the little but of extra time it takes to drive there from Interstate 80.

Great place to stay! Andrew went above and beyond today in a very honorable and professional manner. Thank you and bless you Marriott team, and thank you and bless you twice Mr Andrew!

The room itself was fine. The service? Worst I’ve ever experienced. Attempted to buy some starburst at the front desk. No one showed up. I start to walk way and the long haired hippie with a firearm asks me what I’m doing. When explaining that no one was there, an angry elder women came out of the back stating I have cameras and had I known you where here…….” I interpret to explain that no one was here. I sat in front of the cameras and no one came up until I started to walk away.

The staff at this hotel really sets the bar high. They really go above and beyond in all areas. Rooms are large and clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

I travel here a few times a year for business and Jordan, the Front Desk Manager, always remembers my name when I walk in the door. His service alone makes staying here 5 stars not to mention the outstanding commodities. Would definitely recommend!

The nicest hotel in Grand Island!! We stayed here for a baseball tournament and proceeded to leave a baseball glove in our room. The cleaning staff saw this and immediately called me and saved the day! Without them we would not have had the glove that made the game winning catch!!!

Lady at the front desk was eager to make it as difficult as possible for us to get the rates we booked. We arrived at 3:30 in the morning to sleep for roughly 5 hours, shower & get back on the road, paying roughly $50 more than quoted for a night stay. Frustrating to say the least & took way too much time trying to figure out a solution that didn't come into fruition. Other than that, rooms were nice & breakfast was good.

My husband stayed here for business and I came at the end of his trip and we stayed an extra day. Jordan at the front desk took great care of us, the room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay here again.

One of the best Fairfields we’ve ever stayed in! Great location, just off the main thoroughfare in town. Super clean and well-maintained. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area. They were all booked up for king beds, but the two queens were very clean and comfy. The entire hotel, including the room, was very clean. Loved the room. Only things preventing a 5-star rating that could have been better was that the shower tub floor was slippery and the tub didn’t drain well. Breakfast had a great selection of foods. We were very impressed by the town, too, as it is very attractive and accommodating.

We put in for an upgrade and got it! Had a king bed one bedroom suite with a full bath and half bath and there was a huge fireplace in the living area. There were a lot of offerings at breakfast and we enjoyed using both the hot tub and the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

For the price, this is a great property with friendly staff and clean rooms. The beds are pretty comfortable and it has more than sufficient amenities. Very pleased with this property.

As a Titanium member, I left a little angry. Being that my travel situation causes changes in my travel plans frequently, I count on being able to check out of hotels prior to 4:00 pm. Thanks to all the Marriott hotels I've stayed at, I've been able to leave before 4 without getting charged another day... All the other hotels except for this one. I had to stay an extra day since they were not willing to work with me. And yes, I did ask for a 4:00 pm late check out but it wasn't honored. Next time I come to town I will be staying elsewhere since my status isn't honored here.

I was welcomed by the sweetest receptionist. My room is cleaned and my bed sheets does not have any stains like other places I’ve been too! Bathroom is also cleaned and filled with towels. They have shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so you don’t have to bring any. It’s walkable distance to lots of restaurants as well! Would highly recommend this place!

After seeing crazy charges on my credit card, I contacted the Loyalty Program because I refused to work with the Front Desk. It seems that they had canceled my original reservation, created a new one, and another one, then charged me a no-show, and overcharged for my stay. I didn't get the room I reserved (got two queens instead of a single king - which wasn't THAT big a deal - but wasn't what I reserved). I never received an email receipt. At least four others in our group (wedding block) were overcharged as well, and I'm sure there's more. Barbara at the Loyalty Program was amazing at figuring out what had happened and helping me with my refund. The dude at the front desk was absolutely terrible, even checking in was ridiculous. Stay dates Friday 11/11 - Sunday 11/13 for the Wecker/Gideon wedding.

The best hotel in Grand Island at least for business travelers. Customer service is always kind, tv has Netflix, YouTube, etc. and most importantly my room is always shiny clean. Closest to many restaurants too! No complaints.

I have been staying here for 10 years. This stay has been disappointing compared to other times I have stayed. The reason for the lower rating this time is the fact that a housekeeper came in to my room when the do not disturb sign was on the door. I spoke with management and was told they were new and they would give some additional training. Other things disappointing about this stay. 1) there used to be a "manager's hour" where they had beer and wine on a weekday at 5 PM. This was something that differentiated them fom the 2 hotels next door. That is gone now. 2) I am a Marriot Elite member due to extensive travel. I would always get a courtesy water from the front desk when I got back to the hotel from work. Now they direct me to their little convenience store to buy a bottle which is priced almost double what it would be at the local store. They may seem petty, but I spend nearly $1000 each stay on the room, 5 to 6 times a year for 10 years. A 50 cent to them bottle of water seems a reasonable ask. 3) I had to fix the toilet as the handle was just hanging off the side of it. And was told there was nothing the desk could do. 4) a kids baseball team running up and down the hallways at midnight. It is these little things that add up to me reconsidering changing what hotel I stay at here in the future.

Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Excellent breakfasts. Excellent staff, and the manager, Diane, is a real treat. We'll definitely come back the next time we need to stay in Grand Island

They were very accommodating about getting us an early check in. Employees were friendly. Breakfast was good. The room had some minor inconveniences. The outlets in the lamp between the beds didn't work. The beds weren't very comfortable. The bathroom door wouldn't latch or lock. The shower drained slow. It's mostly my fault for not looking or having the curtain pulled all the way, but when I turned on the shower, the head was facing outside the tub and sprayed the wall, the picture, and the toilet. The shower head is so high up the wall that I had trouble moving it back into place after the ordeal.

Wow. That sums up our stay at the Fairfield in Grand Island. Perhaps this place was so impressive because the last place we stayed was so abysmal, but I don't think so. Our room was surprisingly large, very clean, well maintained, with incredibly comfortable beds/pillows, and the kind of at home comfort you do not expect from a hotel. Breakfast was considerably nicer than any other hotel I have stayed, the swimming pool was large & fun, staff were attentive and friendly, location is spectacular with numerous restaurants very close by, and the parkings areas were large & well lit. The only criticism I could think of, and it is nit picky, is that the exhaust system in the bathroom took some time to circulate the steam out. If that is the worst thing this place has to offer, you can consider it to be THE place to stay in Grand Island area.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable throughout. Andrew was very helpful during check in. The mobile key wouldn’t work so I ended up getting a key made for the door. The room was spacious and the A/C worked great! The bathroom door did not shut completely, so that could be a problem if someone was sharing the room. The only other “bad” thing is that either they have a lot of softener in their water or their products in the bathroom are just extra slimey. It felt like I couldn’t completely wash off the products I used that were provided. The breakfast was really good! They had a large spread including three types of eggs (boiled, scrambled, or as a patty for sandwiches), sausage patty, biscuits and gravy, and they had a really cool oatmeal bar! I have never seen one of these at a hotel breakfast before, so that was exciting. They included several different toppings like brown sugar, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, coconut, cinnamon and more! Loved it! Loved the location proximity to food as well! It shares a parking lot with Buffalo Wild Wings, but plenty of other options were available within 0.5-1 mile.
