We made our first trip to Children's Dental Center in Collierville a few days ago. My 7 year old daughter was totally comfortable and told me afterward "I want to go to the dentist every day!" Enough said...

I was very pleased with my experience here. We have 4 children who were able to been seen at the same time, making it very convenient. The hygienists were fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. I appreciated their ability to include everyone in the final evaluation by the dentist.

I absolutely love this office the ladies at the front desk. Then the assistants are so great with anybody’s child, Dr. Selectman was my child’s first dentist and now my son is seeing dr. Daniels he is wonderful as well.

Great pediatric dentist office. Staff was super friendly and made my daughter’s 1st visit a very pleasant experience!!

Wow. I'm impressed. My son broke his front teeth at 4:00 in the afternoon. I've never been here before, and they stayed to take care of him because his break was so severe. They completely took care of him and saved the day! We're from out of the area, and it was an emergency. I can't express how incredibly grateful I am for this special office of professionals!

We came to Memphis, TN from NYC so that my oldest son could be treated at St. Jude. I have two other younger children; a lil girl who is now 7 yrs old. She needed a filling. It was not looking good and needed an appointment soon. I called the office and the lady who answered was AMAZING! She sounded as if she knew us and wanted to make sure we were seen ASAP. She gave me an appointment and to be very honest I was very more nervous than my lil girl. (lol) The team that helped us are incredible human beings. The way I could explain how we felt was as if I had just come to see my family who I had not seen for a while. My lil girl did not cry or was scared. The Dentist is also amazing. I'm so grateful I "found" this office. Thank you Team. You worked on my lil girl's teeth, but you won our hearts.

I took my three kids here today. This was our second time here and our first was awesome. This time not so much. The doctor rushed each of my kids with no bed side manner. They are 8 5 and 2. My 2 year old was crying and he just said stop and was scrapping his teeth. He is two he doesn't understand that. Then they still needed there flouride but he pushed us out and the hygenishy was having to chase my kids out to get it on there teeth. He just pretty much said fine bye. Didn't listen to my concerns. I am extremely extremely disappointed. Also the hygenist old my 5 year old to stop whining. I hate to have this experience and felt like I couldn't be heard and can't come back for 6 months because of insurance. And I think they have a few things that need to be taken care.

Rude staff. The lady who spoke to us on the phone doesn't know how to use the language and how to talk to the people. "You have cancelled your previous appointments let the manager decide whether to let you in into the practice" They should hire someone who can speak professionally. We are visiting them since 2014 and decided to not visit them any more.

We are from the Memphis area, but currently do not live here. We were in town for a short time and found out my son may have to get his tooth pulled during a cleaning with a different dentist. My general dentist was not comfortable addressing the issue and said we needed a pediatric dentist, so I contacted Dr. Selectman’s office and explained our issue basically begging for help as we were about to leave for the summer. Their office was so gracious and kind and fit us in! Dr. Selecman put my nerves at ease and was just amazing. We were in a out and plan on visiting him next time we are in town. Their office is CRAZY busy, but everyone working there was so kind and didn’t show an ounce of stress. Highly recommend if you need a pediatric dentist in the Memphis area!

They are always very friendly and efficient. I would recommend if you have a child who needs a dentist.

This was my son’s first dental visit and the staff made him feel so relaxed and special! This is a fantastic group!

Our first two visits were great but I felt rushed today and had more of a conversation with the assistant than the dentist. I'm told that my child will need to be sedated because she has 4 cavities. I'm very nervous about that. Dr. Rowland is sending us to talk with another dentist in their practice but I'm not sure why. I'm fearful of dentists but I don't want my child to be that way. I will see what happens during our next consultation.

All of my children LOVE coming to visit and each time I am so impressed with the kindness, patience, and care they extend to my kids. Dr. JB Selecman and his team are the best!

Excellent care from our hygienist, Cheryl, and the dentist. Cheryl was extremely personable, professional, and thoughtful. We normally see Dr. Selecman (who is wonderful), but saw Dr. Daniels who was great too! Highly recommend!

I am updating my below review and revising the rating. I had great opinion about this facility until recently when they started to send you surprise bills. Most prevalent problem with many of the dental offices where they have access to all your insurance info but still end up sending you bills saying insurance didn't cover the service. I thought this office is not one of them. Can't you do a simple check to ensure fluoride treatment is not covered before offering the treatment? It can't be impossible because there are dental clinics who are upfront about this. I called atleast twice and left the billing a message to call me back but no response. Just decided to unenroll and go elsewhere. The bill was very small so paying that is not a problem but the trust they broke is immense. Previous review: Great service and facility. The faculty spent thorough and quality time treating our child. They didn't rush and were patient plus very understanding while working with our 9 year old.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars! After being told that my 5 year old had 12 teeth that needed to be capped, I came here for a second opinion. First of all, the staff is awesome! We saw Dr. Selecman and he told me that we only needed caps done on 4 teeth. I am against IV sedation and he was completely fine with that! My daughter had her teeth fixed today and she did great, No problems at all!! Dr. Selecman is the best! I have never felt more comfortable and at ease with any other Dr! I highly recommend Dr Selecman and we will definitely bring our other daughter to be a continuous patient of his. I couldn’t be happier with them being our family pediatric dentist. If only I could be a patient too!! 😭

We love the childrens dental center. All three of my kids have always had great experiences and are never afraid. The wait and service is fast and staff super friendly!

The staff is so personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. They are truly GREAT with kids. Hate that I’m too old to be a patient. Service is always exceptional and never a long waiting period. They get you in and out. This clinic runs like a well oiled machine. Love it!!!

Children's Dental Center was a wonderful experience for our family. I have 4 kids who got check ups ages 5-12. Each was given kind excellent care that helped them (and me) remain calm. My 5 year old kept telling me she was nervous while we waited to be seen but by the time we were done she said it had been "no problem". The extra follow up we needed was quickly scheduled to fit our time table and everyone was so cheerful and kind throughout the whole process. We are so grateful to all who helped us and we definitely recommend Children's Dental Center!!!

Besides the fact that it is nearly impossible to get an appointment that isn’t during school hours, the dentists here don’t seem to have any interest in practicing dentistry. I assume they get a kickback for sending patients to the orthodontist next door. Cleanings and environment are fine.

Ashley M was so patient with my high anxiety girl! She was so encouraging and helpful. Ro was great as well with my “wiggle worm.” Dr. Rowland was encouraging! Would recommend!

They are so nice and professional! My baby had her first visit at 11 months and I loved how they treated her. This will definitely be her primary dentist.

They are always quick and efficient. Everyone is always so nice and you can tell they love being there. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place! Today Stacy was the hygienist for my son and she was just so relatable, so sweet, so genuine and I love how open she is. I feel like we have known each other for quite some time. Our conversation felt like I was taking to a close family member. She’s a true gem! I can’t thank her enough for being who she is, she exudes wisdom and grace. I love love love her! She’s definitely a keeper.

My daughter came in for a visit today. Ro was her hygienist and Dr. Greene was her dentist. They were both wonderful and thorough. Ro helped calm my daughter and keep her happy while she had quite a lot of work done today. Would definitely recommend!!

This the best pediatric dentist hands down!! I arrived on time and stayed in the waiting room less than five minutes. We made it to the back and was out within 40 minutes. The reason it was 40 minutes was because I kept running my mouth speaking with the staff. They were so personable from the front desk all the way out the door. We felt nothing but love. I submitted a request for an appointment on their website a long time ago. I also completed all of the necessary documentation. They never confirmed my appointment, nor did they attempt to contact me. When I called them to confirm my appointment, they said they could not find my appointment or any of the documents I had submitted. I think this issue represents how their patient management system works, and they are committed to communicating with patients. And obviously, I do not trust their system.

We love the Children’s Dental Center! We have been going there for 8 years for 2 children. Dr Selecman is wonderful and had the best upbeat personality. So great with children too! Highly recommend!

I have been taking my kids to children’s dental center for 10 years, it WAS great I love the doctors, but in the past couple of years the treatment is just not the same specially if you are LATINO. Last time we visited I had to stand up for my 8 year old son because the hygienist was being very rude to him! What grown woman acts rude and mean towards an 8 year old??! He was already scared of going in and she made it even worse. I guess she didn’t think I could speak english or that I was not going to say anything? The worst is that the staff took her side. I don’t know what mom wouldn’t protect her kids from bullies. So just be aware that if you’re brown/Latino they will treat you and your kids different. Si hablas español y eres latino te van a tratar mal.

We had a great experience taking our six year old for a cleaning and baby teeth extraction. The staff is friendly and fun. She ended up having two teeth pulled and they made it so easy and comfortable for her.

The staff was exceptional! This was our first visit to this location and everyone was helpful and attentive to the needs of my two children. Ms. Linda, a dental hygienist, was extremely patient and allowed my son with sensory needs to do things at his own pace while showing him each tool and giving him the opportunity to “test” it himself before using it. This was his best visit to the dentist! My 5-yr-old daughter was nervous but had a wonderful experience as well. Dr. Rowland was great. Very patient and understanding. We are so grateful for such a great experience!

My daughter has been seeing Dr Roland since she was three. She loves going. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

I cannot say enough kind things about this practice. Our 3 year old special needs son had a dental emergency on evening of Thanksgiving. Dr. Rowland was on call, was kind, pleasant, and attentive. He assessed the situation and got us everything we needed the next day. Our son has autism and medical visits can be extremely difficult. Dr. Rowland assured me that he enjoys working with kids with Autism and every step of our visit reflected that. His staff let me tell him how to help my son best, they trusted me, went slow, and we left that office with no tears. I was amazed. Highly recommend!

I've been taking my children to Children's Dental Center for 4 years now, and I can't be more happier. Easy to set up an appointment, clean environment, fun waiting area for kids, nice receptionists and hygienists, and most of all, the best dentist ever. He always smiles and encourages moms, and is nice and fun to kids. My younger ones love to visit dentistry now.

Professional and kind staff who made my 3 yo daughter feel at ease and even excited for her visit! Dr Rowland was knowledgeable but also very kind and encouraging and we are thrilled with the care my daughter received. She can’t wait to come back and let him “count her teeth” again. I was impressed by how smoothly the whole process went, from filling out paperwork to the cleaning and exam, to a quick check-out. Highly recommend!

This is by far one of the best dental centers in the area. The staff is always very professional and definitely makes every experience a great one. I can hardly believe how quick we are in and out during our visits. Too bad they dont treat adults. (Wink) I absolutely love this place!!!

Very Welcoming and Great Job with Dental Needs

I've been taking my children to the Collierville location for at least 4 years. Dr. Roland is fun, to the point, and my kids really like him. As a parent I appreciate the efficiency of appointments. It's rare to not be called back within a few minutes of arrival.

We love Dr. Rowland @ Children's Dental Center! The staff is always so friendly and provides top notch service. The most important thing is that they make my kids feel so comfortable and not at all nervous about being at the dentist! An all around wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone with kiddos!

The moment we walked in was wonderful, the lobby was appropriate for social distance and the wait was nothing. The receptionist were welcoming and patient. The dental assistant were life saving and made sure my daughter had a great experience. The doctor was everything and made sure we had everything we needed. He explained the plan and was so gentle with her. She had plenty hands to hold to comfort her through the whole visit. I would give them 10 stars because this entire office went above and beyond with my daughter's care. Thank you so much!

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Selecman and all of the staff at Children’s Dental Center!!! They take such great care of my kid and have jumped on getting him an interpreter for each appointment! The care and kindness of each person we are in contact with there is so evident! Highly highly HIGHLY recommend!!! Editing this a year later to add: Yesterday, my heart nearly burst from my chest. I had confirmed my son’s appointment days before via text and had completely forgotten to call and make sure that an interpreter was scheduled (he is Deaf and requires a terp for language access). I called yesterday morning, before driving 40 minutes for nothing, expecting to reschedule the appointment and was absolutely floored when told that an interpreter had been scheduled without me having to ask! For the first time in my kid’s entire life, he was given the same access anyone else would have, no questions asked. I got to take him to the dentist and just be mom and he got to just be himself. If you have a kid with a specific need, you know how I feel. Whoever jumped on scheduling the terp, I cannot thank you enough, truthfully. You have absolutely no idea what that did for our family. Thank you, Dr. Selecman and your entire staff!
