Lots of outdoor fun for all ages. My family met up with a large group of friends at The Wayback Barn. It was wonderful that both the older and younger kids all found something fun to do with their friends. Our family also enjoyed a competitive game of cornhole together. The Wayback Barn is close to the city, but it feels like you have been transported into a cozy country property. I wish we would have dressed up because the scenery would make for beautiful family photos.

What a blast! Wayback Barn is a great family friendly place to spend time with friends and family. The kids can run around and play, ax throwing, tether ball, corn hole, checkers, bon fire, food trucks, and so much more! I highly recommend it! It was great to get away from the electronics and enjoy the outdoors.

The staff was friendly, engaging and welcoming. Feels like country fun but just on the outskirts of the city. The outdoor surroundings make for wholesome, engaging, and interactive fun for all ages. I loved hearing that this place welcomes group events and parties. I can see this being a huge hit after weekend youth sporting events with the team.

We had a great evening at the Way Back Barn with our family. Our kids loved being free to run around and play games as a family and with other kids they met there. Food trucks were awesome and my big kids enjoyed the ax throwing! Can’t wait to come back.

My family and I attended the soft opening of The Wayback Barn recently and fell in love! My daughter’s favorite was the Axe Throwing. There is so much fun stuff to do and keep the kids and adults having a wonderful time. Gaga ball, 9 square, tetherball and tons of yard games. The silo is so cute! Love the barn and the outdoor woodsy charm of this whole place! It’s like Broken Bow but close to home. We can’t wait for the outdoor mini golf to open. This will be such a great place to meet up with friends and let the kids play, or have a birthday party or even a business event! Highly recommend giving this unique place a visit!!!!!

Big cheers for the Wayback Barn! We loved visiting last weekend! The setting was amazing with the trees, the restored barn and all of the glowing lights. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the wide open space to run and play with other kids, plus the playing the other activities on the grounds... and we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed time we had hanging out with friends. The food trucks were an easy option for dinner for our crew and I thought the vintage long neck sodas were a fun touch too! It's a perfect place for our family to unwind -- and also a great venue for group events!

Such fun family outdoor time! We loved axe throwing; the food trucks were delicious; and my kids’ favorite part was hot chocolate 😆

We were beyond blessed to be able to attend the soft opening for The Wayback Barn on Sunday, and y’all! It’s AMAZING. This is the kind of venue the McKinney area has been *needing*. It’s an incredible place for families, work fun, dates, parties. Games everywhere; picnic tables galore; great music, beautiful lighting, a fire pit; axe throwing (into real logs, and outside so you’re not overwhelmed by the sound!!); Gaga ball, 9-Square, tether ball(!!); snacks and drinks and food trucks! AND they’re open Wednesday-Sunday, with daytime hours on Fridays so stay-at-home mamas and homeschoolers can enjoy the Barn while everyone else is at school and work! ANNNND they’ll help you with fundraisers and corporate retreats/team building! Our whole family (all boys aged 6-11) - and all our friends - had SO much fun! It is a relaxed, gorgeous, welcoming vibe, so unique and special (and affordable)!

Beautiful, relaxing, wholesome, nostalgic, and country feelings in the city of McKinney? It’s here! This charming venue is in an easy-to-get-to location. Kids can safely run around, adults can visit, and friends and family can play different games together. Food trucks, a red barn, string lights, and axe throwing … what more do you need to make a good vibe?
