This GCISD swim center has High school classes in it during the day, Public and lap swim during the day if the center is not rented to the club swim team or being used by the GCISD schools. Yes the center is old but clean. The up keep on the building and the pool water is very good. I watched the managers and the life guards taking chemical readings. I am a Certified Pool Operator.

Natatorium built in the 90's. Pool good shape. Showers dated. No signage. Next to cross timbers middle school. Go through big building entrance. Free lap swim weekday mornings. see website for details.

I used to swim here a lot back in high school and have returned on a few occasions to swim laps. Great place!

Run by the most collaborative and supportive aquatics director in North Texas, maybe even the whole state. Coach Jau is always willing to help teams, the water temperature is excellent for lap swimming and the lanes are wide.

You can’t beat free! The open swim is great, the pool water is crystal clear and well maintained. My only complaint is that locker rooms need to be renovated.

Very nice facility for lap swimming. Be sure to check the website for scheduling if you are coming for an open swim time.

An incident there reminded me of passage from the novel, The Ugly by Alexander Boldizar. The AC was off and several folks were standing next to an open door trying to cool off. The"safety officer" came by, closed the doors and asked the folks to sit in the bleachers. Advice given to the protoganist in the book when dealing with Americans: “If you ever get in trouble,” he said, coughing with nearly every word, “say that what you’re doing is to increase safety. ‘Safety’ is almost like honor there.

This swim center is a terrible place to have a meet!!! No seating, extremely hot compared to other natatoriums!!! Miserable to watch meets there

Great facility for swim teams and those learning. Nice spectator viewability, perched up higher than deck level. Handicap accessible spectator seats.

The GCISD Swim Center is a wonderful place beginning with the care and effort put behind the facility. Coaches and managers constantly ensure everything is taken care of for both the swimmers and the patrons by answering questions consistently and maintaining a hygienic facility. Information is easily accessible, for times such as lap swim and provides a wonderful service for residents of all areas.

Ridiculous place to have a swim meet. There are NEVER enough seats or even standing room to see the meet. There are not enough lanes for meet and warmup at the same time. Having 15+ kids in 2 warm up/cool down lanes is horrid. There are so few lanes that you have so many heats for each event that adds HOURS to the meet. You are better off skipping any meet that is located here!

Good place but needs more seating for big swim meets.

Great facility, clean, well run, and a safe place for our kiddos to enjoy their sport. I have been to many meets there, and have been comfortable. I have kids who swim there, work there, and I swim there myself. Anyone who doesn't want to sit on a bleacher for 4 hours should get up and go volunteer on the deck. Best view in the house and free snacks!

The water is wet and the times are fast. Great place to watch the GCISD swim team do their thing.
