The hotel is near a busy road and there is no insulation. If you have a room facing the road it is REALLY loud. I asked to change room and the gentlemen at the front desk refused even though there was still vacancy. I spend over 100 nights per year at hotels and never had such bad insulation in a hotel room and bad customer service.

Checked in on Friday afternoon to catch a Saturday afternoon flight. My first impression is always the elevators. How well those are cared for tells me much. These are spacious, clean and ride quite smoothly. Clean suite with all the amenities. Breakfast was hot and much attention given to its service. 12 Noon check outs are always appreciated. Internet was strong without any lags. Access is a bit tricky as we had to make a U-urn on a busy highway but stop lights direct the traffic for a stress-less experience. Highly Recommend

Newer, clean, safe, and priced right. If traveling with an electric vehicle, know this, there are local townies that poach at the free Chargepoint charging station, just let the desk know and they will have them removed.

the room was overall great. I stayed for 5 nights for work. Housekeeping was so nice!! breakfast was not appealing though, I was disappointed. No hot tub. I also had a hard time sleeping as my room was right next to the highway. friendly staff & comfortability were good. Thank you

Honestly, the room was better than I expected it to be and the staff was accommodating with my requests. They have really nice furniture from West Elm, and the bathrooms are quite spacious for a hotel room. Unfortunately, some of the other guests were loud and being on the first floor I could hear noise from both the hallway and the parking lot through out the night and early morning hours. The pool isn’t the biggest but it’s indoor and heated (and they actually keep the heater on) so it was a nice swim. The hotel was cleaner than more expensive properties i’ve been to so props for that. The only other issue I had is that the scent for the body care products is really niche (lavender & eucalyptus) and the conditioner in my room was empty. If you plan to come here, maybe ask for a higher floor. I’d definitely visit again if I’m back in the area I also saw another review complaining about the placement of the tv. It’s off center because it’s on a swivel mount that allows you to turn it towards the bed or towards the couch. I actually enjoyed that touch, as well as the desk that divides the room between living & sleeping areas and has a “door” that can slide open

Staff were very friendly, rooms were spotless, location is safe and easy to access main roads. The pool and fitness room worked for our needs. I couldn't figure out how to get the refrigerator on, but it wasn't really needed so I didn't bother front desk. TV and couch/desk area were a nice touch. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely return.

We came up last minute to Grand Rapids with dogs looking for a hotel that would allow dogs. I called and spoke to Candace who was so helpful!! She was very kind, and her GM Sherry, was super helpful. We cannot thank them enough! They made our trip to GR a great one, and we will likely be back to get married up here next year! Customer service was beyond my expectations, staff was amazing, the hotel is clean and beautiful, breakfast was good! Price was very reasonable!!! And the location is 12 mins from GR, and close to a bunch of malls, restaurants etc! We went to and from Grand Rapids and back (for the dogs) with ease! Thank you to the amazing staff and accommodations! Can’t recommend enough. ❤️

We visited Grand Rapids for my husband’s 40th birthday and we participated in a Spartan race! This hotel was the perfect location. It was only 10 mins from the race. Breakfast was great, service was excellent (Shout out to Julius for the great customer service), cleaners were sweet, the hotel and room were really clean! We highly recommend staying here! 🙌🏼

I stopped here for a night with my two pups on the way to northern MI. The hotel was very clean and the room was modern with nice furniture and a comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again! Other comments mentioned being able to hear the traffic, and you can during peak traffic times but it wasn’t noticeable while I was sleeping.

9.5/10! I am an stickler about my hotel stays. I want to feel comfortable and know that everything is clean. This hotel met that mark. Housekeeping was consistently making sure there wasn’t a speck of dirt anywhere, they were also so kind! The woman working the front desk, I wish I could remember her name was over the top incredible! She was helpful, accommodating and extremely nice. The breakfast attendees were all so warm and welcoming, the food itself was always fresh! The room was set up perfectly I loved the desk divider it was versatile, worked as a table or desk. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great as well. The shower was clean, a little small but sufficient and it came stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The smart tv was easy to use and connected to our personal accounts with ease. The room temperature was a breeze to control. The couch was a nice touch and really made the space feel cozy. I wish the freezer on the mini fridge was a little bigger but that’s just being picky and for a few nights stay it wouldn’t be an issue at all. Very child/kid friendly as well! My only concern/issue of my entire 10 night stay was the male front desk worker. There was an issue with my card because they had only charged it for 7 nights and my card thought it was fraud so it kept denying the charges for the last three. I was gone all day when he was trying to call my room which wouldn’t have worked anyway because I unplug the phone so my small children don’t make accidental calls. He came to my room, I was in the shower, my children informed me someone was at the door I yelled just a moment grabbed a towel and answered it. He could see I was in the shower and he extremely rudely said he’s been trying to call me all day, I tell him I was out and the phone was unplugged. He didn’t care. He explained the card issue and I told him I would fix it but he remained rude. I got dressed and immediately went downstairs to fix it and he did not seem to understand my questions regarding the billing and did not use any effort to find the answer. I paid and fixed the issue but he remained cold and rude. I really think he needs some customer service training. Ironically I had thought about leaving a glowing review that morning and then this incident happened. Unfortunately, he made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, I am not sure I would stay again solely because of his actions which is a bummer because everyone else was simply wonderful. Besides the male front desk worker, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. As long as you can avoid him your stay will be great.

I never been to this hotel before and the location is nice. The room was beautiful and love how it's designs. I love the bathroom and the shower. The eggs were kinda soft but the rest of the food were great. I felt well rested.

The hotel is way too close to the main road. The traffic sound was very loud at times. The water pressure in room 401 was nonexistent. So bad, in fact I couldn't wash my hair. It would have taken me over an hour to rinse out the shampoo. The place could use new pillows. Thank god we brought our own. On the good side, the place was very modern. Loved the set up in the room. The bathroom was really cool. I would stay there again, but I definitely want a room on the other side of the building. I will bring the tools necessary to take the water pressure thing out of the shower head and put it back together.

Terrible room design. Good breakfast. Good location. Semi transparent bathroom door instead of TV in middle of room. So if I have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, I wake up my whole family with a bright light that shines into everybody's face! Coat closet at the far end of the room instead of near the door. Architect must have chosen the layout based on "worse possible joke of a hotel room" award winner.

We did not actually stay here. We booked a room, but when we showed up to check in we were informed they had oversold and didn't have a room for us. The night auditor/ front desk staff was polite/ apologetic but seemed frazzled. Not sure if he was new or needed additional training. He canceled our room and sent us on our way. I saw we were charged for the late cancellation so called and was asked to leave a message with the general manager. Sheri, the manager, did call me back within a couple hours and refunded the charge. I work in hospitality so I understand that similar to airlines, hotels will overbook with the expectation that some reservations will fall off. Of course, that doesn't always happen. So, my thoughts on the situation: - When you see you have arrivals remaining but no rooms, at the *very least* you should call the guest before they arrive so they can be prepared. - Staff should definitely have training to cancel a reservation and waive the fee so we don't need to have additional hassel after needing to scramble for a room at midnight. - At even the lowest rated hotel I've ever worked at (certainly comparable to a springhill), we would actually make reservation arrangements at the closest available hotel of equal calibur and walk the guest that way. Being told there is no room for you and being sent away was really bizarre. Additionally, the hotel walking you would pay the cost difference for the new reservation if applicable, and at a more luxury hotel would pay for your reservation entirely. As I mentioned, Sheri did call me back promptly and fix the charge immediately, so no major complaints, especially since we were able to receive great service at the Hilton we ended up staying at. No major damage done, but definitely a learning opportunity for the front desk staff to at least be more proactive.

Very nice hotel. Offers breakfast Has a small store in the front where you can purchase food/toiletries etc. The rooms are nice and big along with the bathroom. I loved how the couch was a trundle bed and it was able to be moved around in the room. They also have Keurig coffee makers in the room! Along with a mini fridge of course. The TV even swivels so you can have it face the living room or the bedroom. A lot of people in the reviews complained about noise we stayed on the fourth of July. We didn't hear any fireworks with our fan on. And no road noise Staff were nice as well Only complaints are the following: Pool is super tiny. Can only fit MAYBE 10 people. No hottub. Fitness room was closed Fire alarm went off at 1am (even though it wasn't the hotels fault in that) I just feel like they could have handled the situation better and had a plan , etc. Or even offered a discount on our next stay.

Loved our experience here. The staff was so sweet and helpful. The rooms and whole facility is clean and well kept. Breakfast has a great selection and is well stocked. The front desk ladies are so welcoming and just had the best attitudes. The pool is well kept, small, but perfect for younger kids to enjoy a swim. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Incredibly nice, clean hotel and affordable. Recently built and/or upgraded. Rooms were spacious. Felt very modern, and near "luxury" for being a standard hotel. Breakfast was always good and the area was clean. Friendly staff. Would stay again and highly recommend!

Probably my number one place to stay in Grand Rapids while on business. Very nice rooms for a Springhill and fairly inexpensive... and much nicer than a Fairfield. Breakfast is ok... about what would be expected. Will definitely stay here again.

I booked a one night stay and had to cancel the same day due to unforseen events. When I called to cancel I was told everything was taken care of. This was on a Friday. Monday morning my bank account shows I was still charged for the room. I called and was told my information would be given to a manager and they would call me back. No call came. I called back the next day and the person answering my call had no idea what was going on as if no notes had been put into the system. No manager on site that day either. A hotel should always have a Manager or supervisor on site.

The room was immaculately cleaned. The staff was warm and inviting upon my arrival as well as departure. they made me feel welcomed as a rewards member and even asked for feedback when I was checking out. My only feedback would be more vegan options for breakfast.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, we asked for a quiet room away from the highway, which we did get, but they put us directly above the firepit area which was supposed to close at 10 or 11pm. There was a sports team out at the firepit ALL night. We called the front desk multiple times starting at 12am to no avail. It was 6/7am before the party broke up - loud music, loud talking. We paid to get sleep and got no sleep.

All was fine until I returned to the hotel this evening. Little did I know, my corporate office made a mistake in the number of nights I needed. So when I returned to the hotel on what I thought was my last night, I couldn't enter my room. I went to the desk and there in the main lobby was most of my belongings--skivvies and toiletries laying out on a butler rack--for every guest to see when they walk up to the desk. Not one phone call! No decency to put my belongings behind closed doors! And the girl at the desk said, "That's just how we do things." I looked at the pile of my belongings and noticed that not everything was there. I asked to go up to the room to get the rest of my things; I said someone can go with me, I don't care. I just want my stuff. The girl says, "The room's been cleaned out. I can't let you go up there." I had to argue to get the rest of my personal property. Horrible customer service.

Exceptional service, clean rooms, more than decent coffee for busy mornings, and in proximity of several dining options. In the midst of travel and transition, it was a quality stay with attentive staff and really good housekeeping.

Outstanding property which has been my experience with Marriot hotels, however this one is one step above. Very nice new clean rooms, comfortable beds, accommodating staff, quiet, and a great location for access to freeway and shopping, and Grand Rapids. About 20-25 min from Lake Michigan and Holland.

Our stay was AMAZING!! My husband and I got married today (6/25/22) and we're treated so well by the staff! They upgraded our room. I want to put a shout out to ASHLEY! She made our stay even more enjoyable! We will definitely come back!

I can't say enough good things about this hotel!!! From the moment we walked in, when we received a fabulous welcome from the desk attendant, to the time we left, with more kind words from ANOTHER desk attendant, we were so pleased with this hotel. The room was beautiful, clean, nicely appointed, and comfortable. I noticed others comment on noise--that was not our experience even though the hotel was fairly full with lots of children running around. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was tasty and nicely laid out, and the lounging area was great. Our only disappointment was the rain that started to fall just as we walked out to enjoy the outdoor firepit. Not their fault! LOL! A great stay at a nice hotel with terrific staff. Two thumbs-up!!!
