Staff is so friendly from the moment you walk in! The chili cheese dog is AMAZING 👏 😋 I'd hate to throw dirty Frank's under the bus but.... lol 😆. Seriously though, one Dawg is pretty filling. This wasnt some skimpy hot dog. I've had a bad experience with pretzel buns being too stiff but this bun was soft and delicious. I got extra cheese on mine because hey, why not. Not sure if it was necessary, but it was darn good. The kids said the ice cream was good and cold.

We had the Chicago Italian beef, Chicago style Dawg and my boyfriend says it tastes just like home! He needed this being homesick recently. Thank you for opening! Discovered this place today on a whim. Wow! The food was insanely good. The owner and staff were some of the friendliest people I've encountered in a long time. Eating here felt truly special. The world outside seemed to shut down for a bit as everyone enjoyed their meals and conversed over all sorts of things. This is the kind of place where the owner will remember your name, favorite meal, or that your children had a recital this week. I felt like I walked into some kind of TV show — the vibe was so comforting, and the food was so picturesque and delicious. It seemed unreal. Can't wait to further explore their menu. Good experience. Food came out faster than it took for me to decide on it! There are good options and the food matches the price. I wasn't a huge fan of the green food colored relish. The flavor was good but was visually unappealing. The staff is super nice and patient but the cashier did cough into their hand then started prepping my order in a bag; pretty off-putting. Potentially will be back again.

There's been a hole in the Columbus dining scene for years now... And that is somewhere to find an absolutely banging Italian Beef!!! This spot is pretty darn good!! Really fresh dogs on their menu too!! Would definitely recommend .

Great little hotdog spot. The staff was super friendly and walked us through the menu. Grab a napkin because these are some messy dogs. They have some specialty dogs, but you can also just build your own. All the dogs are jumbo beef hotdogs on pretzel buns. They also have tots with old bay seasoning that you can load with stuff as well as beef sandwiches.

The best hot dogs and Mac and cheese I have ever had! Definitely going to try the Mac and cheese bowl the next time I visit!

You would think that a hot dog could not be "all that". Well, it is. I'm 65 and have had my share of hot dogs, in many cities, but none this good! Service was fantastic, great value and Mark, the owner, was very attentive. I vote to tear down all the surrounding buildings and make a giant parking lot for Tasty Dawg!

Had the Chicago dog….SPOT ON!!!! Chilli Cheese Dog was great. Clean, quick, no BS best dogs. A skip from holiday lights just of high street. Definite recommendation for taste of Columbus.

Decided to take a chance on Tasty Dawg last night and was not disappointed. My three sons and I each got a different dog and loved them. My chili dog with the pretzel bun was delicious. Among us, we also had three different sides (slaw, Vermont cheddar cheese mac, and tater tots) which were also delicious. Yummy! Side-note: While the dining space is very basic, it was very clean. And so was the restroom.

Very fun little hot dog and ice cream joint right by the Ohio Theater. Husband loved the dogs (he preferred them to the Nathan’s dogs, likes the texture better) and I had a very good (but messy! - worth it) Italian beef steak sandwich with dipping sauce. I liked the spicy giardinara on it. Will be back!!

Wonderful laid back place to have delicious food … the New York dawg was amazing. The owner is friendly kind and welcoming to all. I can’t share a photo because I gobbled my food up too fast! Oh the Mac and cheese was awesome too.

The staff here is so sweet and treat you so well, the food is also really good. We ordered a made to order hot dog and a chili cheese hot dog. These are such simple foods but you can tell they're made with a lot of care. The hot dogs have a really good bite to them and the pretzel bun really helps to hold all other toppings and ensure the bottom doesn't become soggy. Highly recommend! Cheap eats done well!

The food was soo good! Definitely worth my craving! I mean just look at that chili dog 🤤🤤 Requested to remove the onions, mustard on the side and added cheese. To top it all off the staff were all so friendly and amazing! Highly recommended.

Got the Island BBQ Dawg. It was tasty and filling! Staff was super friendly. Love the attention to detail, like having a wet nap in the box and the dog wrapped up so the toppings aren't all over the place. WILL be going back soon to try another. Spicy Dawg looks good!

Great chili dog! It was a really well put together dog with great flavors. Portions were appropriate and staff was very friendly and helpful with explaining the dogs. My only critique is that the menu seems to be larger than needed. But worth a stop and we’ll be back

Dogs and ice cream perfect date night with my youngst. I highly recommend. He had the Chilli dog I had the California so delicious.

We popped into Tasty Dawgs for a quick dinner and it was delicious. We ordered build your own versions and had a great conversation with the service people about the popularity of toppings. Tater tots were exactly what we wanted for our side. Eating at the restaurant was fine at that time but I would have chosen to go at busier times. It’s very portable food.

It was raining downtown and they offered us some poncho’s!! They have awesome ice cream and the loaded tarot torts were to DIE FOR! Amazing customer service and food. Makes it feel like you’re in your own home :).

I am so happy we stopped in there today. The two gentlemen working were so kind and out going. I was telling them they should look into catering at sonic temple because they have amazing hot dogs and are so friendly. We now have a new favorite restaurant when we come to Ohio.

The food is fantastic. Hot and fresh. Cute atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommend the South of the Border dawg and the Italian beef supreme. Mac and cheese is spot on!

My mother and I came in and got hot dogs and milkshakes. The service first of all was fantastic, the two people who worked there was so nice. The hot dogs where amazing, so tender and the toppings where great. We got the Chicago dog and the one with pimento cheese. The ice cream was also amazing, we got the Rainbow Sherbet and the Blueberry Cheesecake! I also enjoyed the atmosphere and the music. We are definitely coming back!

Got the Spicy Dawg and was not disappointed! The pretzel bun was amazing, and the AC made this place an oasis on a hot summer day. Would recommend. 👍

I loved Tasty Dawg. Fun selections, a polite employee who was most helpful, and so importantly, Great Food. I had the California Dog, Chicago Dog and Cole Slaw.

I chose the Tasty Dawg because it was within walking distance of The Ohio Theater. I just wanted a hot dog. Wow, they had a lot of fresh toppings to choose from. I chose the Chicago Dawg - it was authentic - right down to the green relish. Great taste! They also offered a Chicago style beef with sweet peppers and a side of juice to make it as wet as you wanted. I could have used a couple fries because I'm not a tater tot kinda guy.

Went here for the first time for lunch today. Now going in, I didn’t expect much other than “it’s another hot dog restaurant”. Let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised. Everything about the place was simply wonderful. Staff was very friendly. The owner even came out and introduced himself when he heard it was our first time there. Service was very quick and food was absolutely delicious. I got the Island BBQ dawg and my fiancé got the California dawg. We also got some loaded tots to split. Prices were very fair for what we received. All in all, I was very satisfied and will definitely be going back in the near future. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you want to support a local small business.
