Dining in might be fine but don’t do delivery/take out. This tiny salad made of just lettuce was $12 and this tiny meat meal was $18. They forgot bbq sauce, dressing and our side.

Food was ready and sitting on the counter for a while, but the employee responsible for curbside pickup Michaela just let it sit there, even though there weren't that many customers for carryout... The gentleman beside me in curbside pickup and I both went in out of frustration after 30 minutes after when the food was supposed to be ready to get our cold food ourselves, and Michaela wasn't even apologetic. Absolutely terrible service from her, but kudos to the kitchen to getting the food done quickly (which she proceeded to just let sit there and get cold).

My experience at Sonny's today was extraordinary because of the person working the drive-through, Jada. She was super professional and very helpful. I forgot my CC, but she was still able to work with me. I will continue getting lunch and dinner there on the regular. Thanks again, Jada!

Not impressed. My wife’s brisket sandwich was so greasy that the bread was soggy. It was also burnt and lacked flavor. My sons grilled cheese was 2 slices of cold, unmelted American cheese thrown on a burger bun. My pulled pork sandwich was subpar. The meat was a little dry and lacked flavor. Needless to say, we did not finish our meals and will not be eating there again. Based on our experience, I would not recommend.

Great food, good price, Excellent Staff This is one of the many Sonny’s restaurants in Florida. This chain started in Gainesville in 1968 and has grown to over 100 locations across the United States. The restaurant chain is known for its barbecue and service. I have been lucky enough to visit many of their locations and can say that they are consistent on several items across every place I have visited. Every store has had clean tables, good bbq, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. This location had all of those also. It is located on the south side of Malabar Road just to the West of I-95. Traffic along this stretch of road can be very busy so be careful getting to and from this one. There is plenty of parking to the south and west of the location. Upon entering you are greeted by a hostess who seats you in a booth (almost all tables are booths) and took our drink order. We ordered sliced pork sandwiches with french fries and tea. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Add in their signature barbeque sauce of your choosing and you have a recipe for delicious food. The price for two full meals was $22 and well worth it.

Sonny's is the quintessential southern BBQ stop. You can taste the slow roasted goodness I'm their meats. Generous servings are another Southern staple and Sonny's provides you more than enough to satisfy your hungry itch. Now let's add on the rewards program, which for me just provided a free lunch, a large pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top, a side of beans (my choice) and a large iced tea. Didn't have to buy a thing, just show the reward and enjoy. The only thing that has changed at Sonny's over the years has been them dropping the salad bar and baked potato from the sides selection. I got the salad bar once, the first time I stopped at Sonny's over a decade ago. I realized I didn't have room for all the entree provided and a salad, so I never got it again. As for the baked potato, I wish that was still offered, but I've exchanged it for sweet potato fries when I get dinner. The one thing for everyone I know in selecting your BBQ stop is their sauce I find Sonny's a great match to my tastes, from their signature sauce, to sweet and spicy, and the Carolina mustard sauce. I'm certain you will find one you like

Okay, so I was definitely not impressed with this place, I think it is totally overrated, my broccoli was ice cold, my brisket was so dry I couldn't eat it, I felt like I was trying to eat my leather purse, my sweet potato came with nothing just a sweet potato, my ribs were so over cooked , I just couldn't eat it, my husband's food was so over cooked that he didn't eat any of it, and we only seen our waitress 2x once to get our order and the other to give us our check, I will definitely not be coming back here, ever. Too bad the photos make it look good.

Just relocated to the area and this is now our local BBQ spot. Just had the chicken and ribs! Awesome BBQ and great service!!

Every time I go to Sonny's, everyone is so genuinely kind. Patricia is absolutely amazing. Not only is she great at her job- but she’s the epitome of good customer service. & for take out- Bree is also so kind. The food is ALWAYS up to par- I’ve been to other locations and it’s night and day compared to the Palm bay restaurant. I won’t go to a different location- because of the customer service and the quality of the food. You are very lucky to have the employees you do!

Ordered through drive-thru. Received burnt egg rolls, ordered two orders of corn nuggets with RANCH and received powder sugar ON my corn nuggets themselves and no ranch. When I got to the window, I asked for extra smokin ranch and ranch. The cashier handed me packets of smoking sauce and shut the window.

Sonny's is one of the BBQ staples in Palm Bay simply because there just aren't many other options. The food is always good for a chain restaurant. Serving size is good too, and the prices are reasonable. My biggest issue with this particular location has repeatedly been what seems to be a staffing problem. The servers seem super hurried, and they seem to be handling fairly large sections by themselves with no bussing help and frequently no hostess either. Kitchen service is definitely way slower than other bbq places in the area. Despite being understaffed and hurried, the servers are usually very pleasant.

Arrived a bit after opening so was seated really quickly. Staff are really sweet here and pricing is pretty good. Loved the ribs and brisket!

I'm very disappointed, I stopped by for the second time... the first time was average-high. But this second time, it was not really good. The place was pretty much empty, and food delayed more than 15 minutes. Also, the portions... really small compared to the first time. The lady disappeared for a long time after she put my receipt on the table. For sure I WILL NOT COME BACK.

Food was (Sampler) cold. Bake potato & wings looked as though they had been sitting around all day. My wife order was pretty much the same results. The service staff seemed disconnected with her customers. Would not recommend this Location to anyone.

I do not recommend and we will never be back this is the third and last chance ….ALL 4 beef brisket sandwiches was greasy with a puddle of grease in the container my sandwich was complete fat no meat bread was soggy . The ribs were burnt and dry right along with the toast, the tater tots was hard and hollow. out of 5 meals only 1 got ate ( the dogs will be happy) . Thank you for wasting my money and now I still gotta go somewhere else to buy more food to feed my kids .

The ribs were fine but the baked sweet potato was not good did not eat over cooked no taste and the cinnamon butter had no taste what so ever. Coleslaw was ok last time I was there maybe 4 mos ago it was better.

This is my family's absolute favorite place to go. This place holds many happy memories for us as my parents who recently passed loved going here for big family meals. The service is always friendly, and they always appreciate my brother's odd sense of humor. I would say that I won't order grubhub from Sonny's anymore as it always seems to get messed up or not be quite as good as if you were in the restaurant itself.

After being seated and given menus to look at, when placing order our table of 7 we were informed they were out of pulled pork, brisket, turkey, ribs, and eggs. Once 5 out of 7 decided on something else, 2 of us were told we could only order certain items on certain day. I feel we should have been told prior to being seated. Also took a while to receive food. After receiving food, server only came by one time to check on us.

Ordered togo inside, the staff was friendly helpful & accommodating. The food came out quickly and was still hot when I got it home.

My friends and I are regulars here and the food availability lately has been slacking and very hit or miss (Honestly considering making the drive all the way to the Melbourne one going forward). They are always out of something. I know that this can happen from time to time and am very understanding but it’s been EVERY trip we have made there is a list of items that they are out of. The food we got was cooked good and tasted amazing but the manager definitely needs to figure out how to get their ordering under control so they don’t run out of items on the daily.

Staff was excellent, the server Lauren was very sweet and attentive. The prices on the food had been raised but the quality of the food has gone down. The ribs came out with barely any meat on them, and the pork tasted old, didn’t come out very hot either. Overall a decent experience, excellent service but food is not worth the price anymore.

Food and portions were great, out of brisket but hey its BBQ ya gotta expect that right? Server Nicole is AMAZING and extremely accommodating treats my grandparents with care and humor when they visit great gal and great place 😁

My family and I have been eating Sonny's BBQ for many years at several different locations. It in my opinion is the best BBQ anywhere! They are impeccably clean and always staffed with happy smiling people that are the absolute best. Everyone needs to try Sonny's then afterwards I'm sure you'll agree with this review. They have Pork, Beef, Chicken and good ole Southern type sides to go with it. And beer and liquor too.

We like to come here. I have teenagers that eat way too much. Sonny's offers all you can eat and they keep ordering! You can switch your sides too when reordering! Waitresses are always friendly and unlike other places, they keep putting in your next order super fast! My kiddos love it here and I love their ribs! I also love their fried okra! So delicious!

I went to eat there and they was rude and nasty so I complained and they invited me to free meals to make it right. I went to get our meals and they gave us the worse food they have. Our ribs were old, burnt, and dry. Our garlic bread was hard, and our corn was old and chewy. I will never return to Sonny’s ever again. I was so disappointed they would serve old food to us. I wouldn’t recommend anybody of color to this restaurant. I pray God touch their hearts as well.

We ordered curb side/takeout. Made the order at 815. Order was to be ready at 825. We arrived, parked and sent a text with our parking lot number.....we waited. And waited.... No body came out to the car. At all. After waiting for 15 minutes we when in to look for our food. It was sitting on a counter. My husband took the food and left. When we got home we were missing food. The order was wrong. I called to let them know what happened. The Togo employee didn't know how to handle the phone call. I told her what happened and she said- ok . I asked for a refund, she said, OK we can do that. And then she hung up. I had to called back and then I asked for a manager. He told me, he would make sure the refund was issued. And that was it. No apologies from either employee, no I'm sorry what so ever. The order was wrong, we had to go inside to find the food and we tipped them. I'd rather tip the cooks for actually working and doing their jobs. I have been in the hospitality industry for 28 years and this store/operation you have here in Palm Bay is absolutely terrible. Time for more training and corporate to get involved. Back to supporting mom and pop businesses.

I had the greatest experience at Sonny’s. The brisket, chicken, turkey and pork are the best you can get. And in my case, it’s all due to Cole - an award winning certified Pitmaster (and manager). His knowledge, experience, and talents are among the best in the area and competitively speaking - tops in the state. Fantastic food and experience. Thank you Cole!

Great food for the price. Great service always! Quarter chicken of my trio meat sampler was a tiny bit hard and dry but pork was pretty good actually. Worth your time and money for sure!

Loved the ribas and brisket the most, I also was impressed with the option of white or dark meat for the chicken. I got dark and was happy with my selection. All the sauces had a distinct difference my favorite being the smokey one.

Man this place has gone downhill. We used to eat here very frequently. But the pork is always dry and old and tastes weird or drenched in grease. Portions are getting smaller. Especially the corn nuggets and corn bread. They always mess up our order. My mom ordered a sandwich and they put pork on a plate with no bread. My sons tenders were burnt and hard. So disappointed.

The smell of cooking bbq was wafting around the parking lot as we got out of the car. The ambience as we walked into the lobby was pleasant and not too noisy for a lunchtime crowd. There were four of us and we were sat right away. Our waitress was nice and friendly. We each had different orders and all were delicious. I had the Carolina ribs, bbq smoked beans, and rice... mmmmmm mmmmmm mmm !!! I recommend Sonny's for some very delicious food!

Did not come with enough meat for price paid for meal. I know we all need to make money but the portion they gave me and my wife was ridiculous. Service was pretty good just you do not get what you pay for

Good pork, the chicken was a little light on flavor but still tasty. A good stop if you want good sweet cornbread muffins and some delicious bbq beef and pork. The Cole slaw was quite good as well.

I go to the Sonny’s on Malabar road as a regular customer. I always get the Cuban sandwich replaced with the turkey instead of the pork. I went there tonight and was told that they do not do that when they do it for me every other time I am there. This was an act of complete laziness and arrogance. I will never go to this corporate restaurant again due to their arrogance and laziness. They were not that busy and there is no excuse why they can’t meet. A customers satisfaction.

Love love love Sonny’s but was so beyond disappointed in curbside service tonight. My order said it was ready at 9:18 pm it is now 10:05pm and I got so tired of waiting in the car I stepped inside to wait and they brought out my order thats was room temp. Sent a bunch of stuff back to remake fresh and hot. The place was dead tonight and looked appropriately staffed so I’m having a hard time trying to understand why myself and a few other curbside customers got such poor food quality and service. Update: now 10:30 and I just got my order.
