I can not say enough about how wonderful it is here. We were rescued twice by the lovely front desk attendant after not realizing that taxis were hard to come by. The room was wonderful, with a comfortable bed, towel warmer and the best water pressure in 3 weeks abroad. The restaurant was excellent with an attentive, caring staff who helped us through our experience. It was very unassuming in a lovely way.

Service was excellent, right up to the moment the wine expert rolled his eyes at us. Very unprofessional and a bit elitist. The food was good, but boring. Nothing stood out as exceptional and the presentations were lacking imagination. Ordinary white fish on a "bed" of onions on a white plate with white sauce. It was good, but not $80 worth of good. We looked forward to this meal for months and were disappointed. We were early and were told there was no place for us to wait or have a drink and we should just walk around outside perhaps. This is strange to me. The setting is nice though. The staff were mostly welcoming. The 3 stars are for the setting and beauty of the place.

Our stay here was so awful that we had to cancel the 2nd day and get another hotel. Outrageous attitude at the front desk, and pushing to get guests to eat at their restaurant 3 times a day. They asked us 16 times in 10 minutes if we would make dinner reservations. We declined, as their menus are ridiculously overpriced. They claim to offer room service, which we wanted, but they declined to offer any. The bed/pillows were the hardest we had ever encountered, and no duvet/soft sheets. The pool was not open (1st of May), which it was at all of the other 5 star hotels we had just stayed at. There is NO air conditioning or heating in the room, as advertised. The staff smoked all evening under our window, and we are non-smokers. Staff were pressure washing some concrete all during the evening also, creating a noisy, unpleasant experience. We do not recommend.

Although it pains me to say this, I must express my disappointment with the way the guests are treated at this hotel. My previous stay at this hotel was pleasant and went smoothly; however, I was extremely dissatisfied with my most recent visit due to a mistake that was outside of my control. Despite clearly indicating in one of my email exchanges that my intended stay was from August 8 to August 12, 2022 (as I wanted to extend my stay by one day earlier and leave one day earlier), I was charged an additional night. Unfortunately, the lady at checkout was unsympathetic and refused to understand the situation. I presented her with proof of our email conversation, but she still refused to assist me. I even tried to appeal to her sense of customer loyalty by informing her that we had stayed at this hotel more than once for a total of 11 nights, but she was indifferent and uncooperative. The hotel's lack of appreciation and willingness to take advantage of its guests has tarnished my experience. Although I had planned to stay at this hotel in the future, I cannot recommend La Bastide Saint Antoine after this disappointing encounter. This type of treatment is the worst way a hotel can treat its guests, and it is unacceptable.

Hotel review: not restaurant. Restaurant must be outstanding. But the hotel is average. Beautiful setting, but the rooms are loud. You can hear people above you walking. The air conditioning is not powerful enough to cool the rooms in the summers. We had to purchase a fan for our stay as the hotel does not have any to furnish. The bed mattresses are poor as are the pillows. The hotel needs to invest in newer mattresses. The bed linen is poor. The textured cover is not comfortable to wrap oneself with. No down comforters, which is pretty standard at most hotels these days. No WiFi. They advertise WiFi but the internet is always down. We spent 5 nights and the WiFi never worked for us. The shower is small but worked fine. The other annoying thing was that the hotel room is filled with furniture and chairs. No place for luggage. Tiny closets cannot store your luggage. Staff was excellent and professional. Great valets. For the price I was expecting perfection, like the Carlton or Martinez in Cannes. We’ve stayed at both and have never been disappointed.

Sadly, this establishment does not merit the Relais & Chateaux designation. The hotel does not offer quality accommodations. Breakfast room has old outdating carpeting. The only room I could find with a desk and a place to sit was suffocating hot (no AC) and no lighting. Our room # 8 had its own WIFI due to the thick walls. I dont know if it is the electromagnetic field like in a plane, but neither of us could sleep more than a few hours. Not a good stay. If you are looking for a great Relais et Chateaux, we had a great experience at Le Domaine du Mas de Pierre in St Paul de Vence. Fantastic.

We came with very high expectations for this Michelin star restaurant , service was great , wine list had many options, price was ok but the food was not as good as we expected. Don’t rally think it deserves the star. overall it was ok, nothing special.

Extremely disappointing stay, please save your money. Things went from bad to worse here and it is not representative of a relais & chateaux hotel. There was no tour on arrival, we were just shown to our room where our pre requests were not there. The room was fine, however the hotel was virtually empty during our stay and the room we were given was still the most basic without a view. The bathroom had a broken tap and the shower leaked constantly. The king bed was also just two twins pushed together which is not acceptable in a 5* hotel. No milk given either. The most disappointing thing was the service. On our first visit to the pool there were no towels, it hadnt been cleaned and not once at any point of being by the pool did any member of staff come to ask if we needed anything. Another guest mentioned this to us aswell. I went to reception to ask for water and they told me to go to the restaurant or use the phone by the pool to call the restaurant. The phone didn't work when I tried this and so I went back to reception to ask them again and it was clear I had irritated them or caught them at a bad time.. In your room you receive one bottle of small water, it is not replaced. When I got the bill at the end of the stay I was told that a normal bottle of water in the hotel was 9.50 euros and of which I had 3. This is outrageous price and when I questioned this the lady said the restaurant is very expensive and there is nothing she could do about it. The gym also had no water in it either. The lunch we had at the restaurant was lovely, there's no doubt the place is beautiful and the charm is undeniable. The costs however are completely over the top and unjustifiable. 34 euros per person for a standard breakfast for example Or 10 euros for an iced latte. Our last moment was leaving, where a receptionist helped with one of my bags to the uber, she dropped it a few metres from the car and then left, even the uber driver mentioned the look on her face to me and said that is not 5*. I had looked forward to the trip for a while and have left feeling very deflated, wishing I hadn't spent the money.

Great location with distant views of the med. Not quite to the same standard as other 5 star hotels / restaurants we visited in the area

We were here for the dinner and it was ok if you come to a “random” restaurant - but was not ok if you want to dine in a Micheline star restaurant. The staff wasn’t very attentive and professional and the personal touch was missing - a restaurant with a star should have those. The food was good (not amazing) if you want to have dinner. We’ve been to different Michelin star restaurants on occasions and this one is the at the bottom of the list.

3.5 starts for the Restaurant, however service was so nice and polite that I give 4 starts. The chef needs to slow down with the amount of salt, it was extremely salty! We tried it for dinner so we took the full menu with all the dishes. It was disappointing to know on site that the restaurant does not offer wine pairing, which is normall for a gourmet restaurant. The lemon pie was very original and delicious, so as a dessert I recomend this. I have tried once but I will not do it again.

One of my favorite hotels and restaurants in the south of France. I often dream of returning here.
